[Q] splash screen problem, - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

hello all, i have a strange problem with the splash screen, i have two kaisers, one i use and one i test on, anyways i have flashed a bunch of roms to this phone, and one i tried was ReBurn_113MB_Lite_V2.0(which changes the splash screen to look like a bios screen), after deciding i did'nt like it i flashed back to my own customized rom,(has its own splash screen) but the "bios screen" stayed
(just on the part where the info comes up (radio, version, ect)it boots to my splash then goes to this bios screen, then back to my startup animation and boots wm6.5, i have now flashed several roms in an attempt to get rid of it, have changed hardspl several times, several radios, (i tried to mtty task 2a but mtty don't seem to be getting through somehow, any ideas, any help appreciated (not really a problem my device still boots fine, it just bugs me, I did do several searches and haven't found anything so far)

HELP! Bricked phone...

Like a [email protected]$$, I tried flashing my treo 750 with one of Alex's Kaiser WM6.1 cooked roms - now my phone is screwed up!
It completed to 100%, and went to a black screen. Now It wont do anything. Hard reset returns to black screen, reflashing all of the various treo roms result in the same black screen. The black screen is lit up but no palm logo or boot to windows. I am able to bring up the bootload flash tool, and it will load flashes but non fix the issue.
I dont see how flashing it with one of those roms would cause it to be this screwed up?? Wouldnt that flash be able to be completely reflashed with a working version?? What is it about those roms that gets flashed that cant be overwritten by a treo rom??
Anyone help please! Thanks!
Give treo recovery rom a shot, dl avail from palm website
mb
Thanks,... I tried 3 different recovery roms and non corrected the problem....
Sounds to me that you flashed it with an incompatible ROM and it cannot get into a state to properly take the recovery flash. May require servicing to unbrick it.
Did you have HardSPL before flashing? If you did, flasing other os shouldn't be a problem, if not... It doesn't sound good...

just bought tilt but have some issues

hi if anyone can help thatll be greatly appreciated. I just bought an att tilt 8925, and well this is what happens. it boots up and goes into windows screen and then as soon as it goes into the main screen it vibrates a whole bunch of times and then just shuts down. can't get it to active sync to reflash because it wont stay on after it goes into the main screen any help would be appreciated!
Where did you buy this Tilt? Did this happen straight out of the box or have you already flashed it?
Search on how to manually get into boot loader and re flash; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=383904
i bought it like that. the phone is in great condition. all features seem to work but i think the guy did a hackjob on the rom so it's not working right and im all new to trying to get it to work.
Since it's new... start with some baseline work.
1. Do a hard reset.
2. Record ROM and radio versions
3. If it comes up... consider loading the ROM of your choice.
I see you're new here so PLEASE read my signature.
Thanks,
Your best bet would be, download the OEM official Tilt ROM, Manually get into boot loader, then flash it. There are also other methods of flashing such as from your Sd card. The previous mentioned link has allot of answers.
okay i just tried entering bootloader but it wont get into the screen. i hold the camera buton and hold the soft reset button at the bottom of th phone but it just boots up normally. anything im doing wrong?

Best way to change splash image?

hey, I have searched and searched, and tried various methods of changing the image before the IPL and SPL are shown, and also the image whilst the IPL and SPL are shown, however nothing has been successful. I want to change them because I have flashed a new ROM onto my Wizard but the old images remain.
Which is the most efficient and easy way to do this?
Thanks
Surely somebody must know how to do this. I have tried about 4 ways now, and nothing damn works!!!!
Please, somebody must have changed the splash/boot screen with Wm6.1
Maybe....
Maybe you dont get the exactly size of the pictures please visit my sky drive and download the files zip that said 3 splash screens read carefully the instruction on .txt i already change my 3 splash screens but when I exceed the size the screen doesnt change... There i have too the original splash screens and some from my creation....

3 Splash screens bricked wizard
Hi
I downloaded your 3 splashscreens zip file and use the tools carefully step by step to create the nk.nbf file to flash to my wizard. When I run the RUU all seemed fine, up until 66% at which point the process freezes on the device, after a while the pc screen moves to 83% then reports a communication error and starts taking me through a "Recovery" process (taking battery out etc.) when that's done, all I get is the bootloader and have to re-flash my rom to get the phone working again.
Any ideas why this may be? I'm using XP to do it, have tried a replacement new usb cable, but that made no difference.
Edit: I tried again with your images and it worked! Now have HTC default splash at startup but grey-black fade is very banded and looks dreadful. Will have to try a different ones.

Here's a little tutorial and the zip provided by + Que PPC...

'No GSM' after numerous radio version flashes

I tripped over my usb cable while flashing an official orange rom + radio version a few months ago, and bricked my trinity. Left it on a shelf for ages & decided to try to revive it a few days ago.
The problem was that the thing kept hanging after the splash screen, all the backlights would go on and it would hang. I managed to splxploit it to get hardspl back on there (olipro 1.3) & successfully flashed a few OS roms from here but it still hung on the (now different) splash screen. Realised that the 'No GSM' thing was a killer, so tried reflashing a few radio versions, and that worked fine as far as the flash was concerned through USB / HSPL.
However, it still says 'No GSM' and hangs at boot. Any ideas? I've run all the tasks from mtty with spl-1.30lipro, the CID shows the HTC SuperCID(hex) etc successfuly, and it formats the OS portion successfuly. Task 2a, like with others, just returns a new prompt after a second or so.
I've got radio 1.56.70.11 on there apparently. It still says 'No GSM', although this goes away a lot quicker now, whereas before it would hang with that on the screen...
Help?? Should I throw it in the bin?
Thanks a lot, any help is much appreciated...
Nik
you've killed the radio BL in that case, bad timing on your part, sadly it's unrecoverable.
the only fix is desoldering the radio chip and soldering a new one in.
Have you tried whith the version 1.20? The version 1.30 gives some trouble flashing the radio
same problem...no way for me in this moment!
do you solve?
flash with hard-spl 1.20 ou crash'n'proof... then try again... it works with me

Definately, don't throw it away. It's still worth $$$. A lot of people can use it for parts if you don't get it working. Offer it up for sale on here if that's the case.

hi you know radio bl? any schematic to know.. im curios whats does it look like,?

Boot problem!

I think I made a stupid mistake...
I went to consult this thread (forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=600340), just being curious you know, and when I saw the Windows 7 style Boot Logo, I downloaded and installed it.
The problem : The cab was made for the HTC Prophet... and now my Kaiser doesn't get past the ROM's 1st boot image and reboots before dsiplaying the radio version #.
Is my phone bricked?
if it was a cab file that you applied by running from within the phone via file explorer, then it is highly unlikely that your phone is bricked. however, if it won't boot, kiss your data goodbye and give the phone a hard reset. that should fix it but you'll have to set up all your programs and restore your contacts and messages from backups (assuming you follow the practice of making regular backups of critical data).
if you applied something by "flashing" it to your device (usually using a special procedure that may involve your pc), then you may have truly bricked your device.
Thanks ASCIIker.
I tried doing a hard reset. It now goes so far as displaying the version numbers but stills reboots in a loop right after.
Any other ideas?
I guess if I can't boot that means I can't reflash either.

can you enter boot loader mode? simultaneously hold side OK and POWER buttons together and reset with stylus.
if you can then flash your carrier latest rom .
just to clarify, you can flash as long as you can enter boot loader.
and just to correct what faria said, the correct way to enter boot loader is to hold down the CAMERA button while doing soft reset...keep the camera button pressed until you see a screen with red, green, blue, and white stripes. this is the boot loader screen.
once here, you can flash any ROM, etc.
Thanks faria. I had fun pressing Power, OK and trying to do a hard reset. Kinda like playing Kaiser Twister!
Power and Camera did work though. I think that's what you do when you flash from the microSD right?
I'm telling you guys I am so f'in relieved right now as I'm loading my latest factory ROM from archives. So thanks again to both of you.
Back from the dead and to trying out ROMs in a bit then. How's KaiserTouch compared to HyperDragon IV? And is Rhodium 6.5 or less?
Actually happy 1st day rodhium faria v1. It looks well worth giving it a shot!
