[Mod][EC05][AA][DialerTabActivity.apk - Landscape Dialer Fix Template] - Epic 4G Themes

AA would like to present all our resident themers with a stock DialerTabAcitvity.apk which includes our layout edit for landscape dialer so it's actually useful. This way all future theme's can enjoy this little nugget. Thanks everyone, enjoy!
DialerTabActivity.apk:/res/layout-land-qwerty/dialer_app.xml [layout upated]

Nice
cd's or tapes?

glad someone fixed that stupid landscape issue. how retarded was it that you couldn't dial without opening the keyboard?

Yup, was driving us insane!

I am running Urban Fury. Does anyone know what was used as base? If I try Midnight and it doesn't work, will I bork something or can I just try the other one? Thanks...and great job! You are putting out some HOTNESS for our Epics!
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App

Hmm good question. I couldn't really tell what their base is from reading their OP.
I would make a backup up your DialerActivity.apk and then go with the SRF dialer.
Everything should be fine no matter which one you use theoretically. However, i have heard reports that using a Bonsai dialer on a SRF Rom cause it to lag. I've briefly tried the SRF dialer on my Bonsai rom to test my changes and in that brief moment everything seems fine.

Circle Battery D for DJ05 (and DL09)

Really simple, for those who like mostly stock. Flash with CWM.
sleep deprivation + compiling apks = really dumb error, despite re-using my old xml edits (see earlier thread)
But this one works.
Edit: DL09 in post 19
Thanks! Trying it out now...
Has anyone applied this yet? I'm curious if it really works. I tried the old one after first flashing DJ05 and it didn't work... obviously

Works great for me
Screen shot of this battery please if possible. There are so many variations which is why I ask.
Once this is applied, you can use UTO Kitchen to change to whatever you like..
http://circle.glx.nl/
If you just use the UTO Kitchen without applying this first, it will not be accurate..
I'm just using non-deodexed stock DJ05 and this works... altough the battery for charging doesn't reach full.. just about 1/3 of the way..

Fightspit's original mod thread has all the pictures. This is version D with light text. You can sub in images from another version pretty easily using the XMLs from this DJ05 edition.

Well, no kidding. What part of "mostly stock" isn't in English?
Big chunks of most themes live in framework-res.apk, so if you want better batteries on a theme, edit 'em in yourself or ask the themer.

I just compiled this one from the DK28 rom fresh. Don't know how the old one is working right, the two files (LockPatternKeyguardView.smali) are completely different. The work around is exactly the same but they are on different lines. Be prepared for a long reboot it's normal.
Edit: Working themed with battery percent mod, nothing conflicting.

Good work Eugene tho and thanks for sharing...
I love what both Eugene and TW do here to make our Vibrants rock. He has provided alot of awesomeness as well, I'm using his Super IO Kernel with TW Nero right now, as I see a lot of others are doing. I would like to give this ROM a shot, but what I'm really excited about is the 2.1.1 he's testing. Eagerly awaiting. Thanks, Eugene.

[Theme][Port][Com ROM 2.1]Fascinate Detox 2.2 June, 23 2011

Instead of porting Boring AOSP, sunder74 asked if i would port his Fascinate Detox theme found here:[THEME][Port][6/1/11][UPDATE]Fascinating_DETOX FOR COMROM 1.3 - xda-developers (which is very much like Boring AOSP, except it turns out he is better than me) because he was busy or something. I have ported everything from the original theme (i even stole his screen shots, cause im lazy) and i added this puke snot AOSP looking swype keyboard I made.
enjoy

hey Mike,
In the rom there is an issue with the LatinIME.apk its named LatinIME.apk.apk anyway besides that the MediaProvider.apk isnt themed and I noticed you included an accurate battery and the battery doesnt reflect this correctly and the progresshorizontal is orange. I have attached a metamorph to address the battery and the progresshorizontal.xml until one of us gets around to updating the theme. Thanks again for porting for me. You did me a big favor.

Huh that's odd. My progress was orange which you noted but my keyboard was the standard gingerbread...but that was because the rom had the apk named LatinIME.apk.apk and my battery was only showing in 10% increments with the themed battery and the otheres were from your aosp theme anywho. Contacts.apk
Hey Gunnermike,
Great work on this theme! I really enjoyed it, but ultimately had to stop using it, because (imo) the ASOP contacts apk makes our phones so much harder to use. Without the groups tab in the Samsung contacts apk, I can spend at least a minute scrolling through all of my phone #s in the ASOP contacts (frustrating). Would it be possible for you to theme and incorporate Samsung's contacts.apk? Thanks in advance!
thanks for the port.
I was gonna still use it, but the white notification bar is just catching my eye too often.
i need to go back to a black notification bar
but i just wanted to say thanks, and also, it looks like something is wrong with the 3g icon in the drop down. only when its off tho.
its weird.

It is the first theme i've installed on a custom rom and while the process was easy, noobs be warned that the initial reboot takes a little longer than normal. Do not freak out. Thanks for the hard work.

Sorry guys, but I've been contacted by Swype and they've asked me to take it down, which I can wholeheartedly respect.
