CM7 for the Evo does have 4G (wimax) working, if that's what you meant.

Flashing Netarchy's Universal fixes wifi but after restoring apps from TB, I get fcs anytime I try to open the launcher settings.

You need to be on CW 3.1 which I bet your not. Upgrade and try again. I did via ROM manager.

Flashed it and had a few problems.
As stated before wifi wasn't working.
Tried getting into any of the settings only to have it FC every time after applying themes.
Overall it was about 98% effective for daily use but I ended up flashing over CM7.
Waiting on a full MIUI port though

[ROM][DEV][PRE-ALPHA] HTC Sense 4.0 | ICS 4.0.3 | 2/17/12

.
**This is currently a WIP, there are problems but as a community we can get this port solid.**
-= INFO ON THIS PRE-ALPHA ROM =-
This is Sense 4.0, ICS 4.0.3. It is ported from the latest HTC Endeavour RUU leak. The Endeavour is a quad-core tegra 3 phone, with 720p display. So yes this rom will take some work.
The rom that I will be posting was rebased from the sensation port, so credit to those devs. I will not just be using their work, I will be doing my own fixes and whatnot.
This rom is more of a preview. It has alot of issues. But hey, this was one of the first Sense 4.0 ports EVER, and its on NEXUS S. Thats pretty crazy

Realize, that by flashing this, you agree to not post any dumb things in this thread. Please do not post about things not working. Only post if you want to contribute to developing, or you have ideas on a potential fix. Thank you.
-= WORKING =-
-It boots
-Some htc apps
-Not much, hence the name PRE-ALPHA
Click to collapse
-= MAIN PRIORITIES =-
-Radio ( may work for you gsm users, not sure )
-sound
-Stop random reboots and launcher problems
-= HOW TO BE GOOD AT THIS ROM =-
As of now, it isnt very stable (duhh). So after flashing, let it settle down a bit, it will reboot some and do its thing. After awhile it runs pretty damn smooth. You will have to get used to random reboots and force closes. It's still kinda cool to look at though, don't let these problems discourage you from flashing

I think status 7 error comes from different recovery so after you get that error reboot into recovery again and reflash.

First, welcome back, Roman!
Just put one of those keywords in the "ro.product.device" or "ro.build.product" lines in /system/build.prop, then reboot to CWM recovery to flash AOKP. Most likely, you are running a rom that has "GT-i9000" or "galaxymtd" in these fields.
Suitable keywords are "vibrant", "vibrantmtd", or "SGH-T959".
MP
EDIT:
I added a CWM flashable to make things a bit easier. Flash this first, then immediately flash the AOKP rom.
This overwrites your current /system/build.prop with the one from Roman's AOKP rom. This should also work if you formatted the /system partition, and are also getting the assert error.
RE-EDIT: Assert doesn't prevent installation, even if /system is formatted. "Fix" did not resolve status 7 errors, so I'm pulling the script. It appears to be un-necessary.
thank you for trying..but this did not fix it. every time i change the keyword to one of the options it would reply back on the status 7 with another one...and even after using your fix buildprop zip..no go
once again... smack my ass

i'm on Wi-Fi....i even cleared davlik, reflashed...fixed perms...still getting errors...i'm just gonna start from step one all over with a reflash...won't flash the extras this time...see if that helps
side note...lol my lock screen is off center too...the lock tab is slightly off to the right on the lock screen...never seen that before...
update : flashed again w/o extras....works now, but lock screen is still off center...tried to set a custom dpi with a market app...won't boot up with a different dpi setting...

I do not think that is possible unless you make the changes in the framework.

Huge Ups to Tim for CM7!
Misc Notes: This is the very first build and although I'm pretty sure I did this correctly there's a chance I might be wrong, So feedback is appreciated :S
This probab. won't resolve any CM7 inherent problems but who knows
will test it.

So I was just curious a while back almost a month ago, you ported over the lewaOS except at the same time your phone like took a crap. Are you going to try and pick back up on that at all? I like JoyOS as well, but LewaOS I prefer over joy. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.
im curious to see more screen shots... but not sure ill flash it cuz i love ics

Yes, now that our GB is for the most part functional I'm going to do Joy, MIUI and Lewa for GB base but right now I'm expecting to get my new cell any day this week, I'll flash as many as people are willing to test.

Do you mean the original rom or the updated one in OP? The one in OP shouldn't have the FC issue but I'm not 100% until I get feedback
curiousity struck

It uses the default Kernel that Tim put into his rom, but to check did I correctly fix the FC issue?

Sorry for the confusion, I was talking about the original.
The new update boots up fine and runs pretty smooth. No issues that I see or have run into.
