[ROM][CWM] Stock Non Rooted Aug 5 UEKMB Touchwiz OTA

This is a STOCK, NON-ROOTED update.zip of the Touchwiz UEKMB OTA. This is good for those that want to watch Google Videos or those that did not yet receive the OTA (like me). I have only tested this with CWM, so I do not know if it will work with stock recovery.
All I did was remove sudo, su, and busybox from the rooted stock rom posted by DocRambone. So full credit goes to him and those he worked with: bill.allrobots.org, luapclark and Calkulin... and anyone else that may have worked on that rom.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible if your Tab bricks, freezes, explodes, becomes self aware, etc etc

I thought the OTA was around 188meg, this file is 360meg?

Hmmm didn't realize. This is what I flashed to get to the touchwiz ota. It doesn't seem to have anything extra. It is docrambone's stock rooted Rom minus root

This is based off /system after the OTA update. The size is right since its formatting /system extracting the tw update to the directory.

The contacts app works fine in docs ROM.

Well for some strNGE reason doesn't work for me. The application is not installed! Flashed the full stock version.

My contacts work fine... Interesting

Are you going into the App tray and selecting the contacts app from there, or are you using a shortcut on the home screen? Try deleting the shortcut and re-adding it if so. They changed the contacts app in the TW version, so if you had an old shortcut to Contacts on the home screen before the update, after the update it would tell you the app is not installed.

Touchwiz on Honeycomb is different from Froyo and Gingerbread.
It's not an app or a launcher that you can extract and port to other devices
It's more like the core foundation of TW ROMs

Does this work for the 32 gig google io/developer version?

Can someone give me a compatible version of News&Wheater.apk , in Gingerbread i was having pre-installed but in CM7 i cant find it , i have founded some versions but when i turn them on it force me to close. PLLEASE GIVE ME A COMPATIBLE VERSION FOR CM7 !!!

Samsung Apps for android CM9 ?

Is the Samsung Apps (market) app working on CM9 ? I've tried 2 apks I found searching on google but none of them work, I get an error during installation : Application not installed . Anyone has a working Samsung Apps apk ? I have my Internal 1.6GB , USB drive 600 mb so the space is not a problem.

You have Samsung Apps working on RemICS ROM (Based on CM9, SGSIII Style, many working Samsung apps).

thanks but the dev that made RemICS stopped its development on 16.07.2012 ... so it's kinda outdated. ( if only there would be a zip with the required frameworks and apk for Samsung Apps to work on any ICS rom.

Obviously it will not work since its made for Xperia Tablet Z and not S3 Mini

Buddy you can find PACMAN rom for s3 mini in maclaw studio, just type "maclaw studio" on google and you will find it, he develops for ace/gio and s3 mini. Greetings.

ok i'll do it but i'll wait till tomorrow to download and flash the ROM, ill tell you what i think about it tomorrow
it seems like you guys really like it

i really like the rom it looks really awesome but i have some little problems:
how can i turn of pie control?
how can i edit the quicksettings?
and what the blue ball at the left of your screen and how can i turn it off?
the worst problem is i cant install the gapps after i flashed them and wiped cache partion i reboot and it says the installation wizard and something from goo.im instalation has stopped so i went back to my previous ROM(temporarily),
i want to know how to instal the google apps and then i will go back to pac man rom, because it looks really awesome.
i think i flashed the wrong gapps, but wich ones should i download from their page?
so help me as soon as possible, thanks in advance

1. In the "Customization --> Toolbar" Options. turn "Trigger Area" on "None"
2. dont know what you mean
3. The blue ball ist probably the HALO?! Its something really great

1. in the System Settings
2. Try these ones from Maclaw or Oliver96. They are for cm 10.1, i think they are the same for PAC rom. I still cant post links here

thanks, it fully works now, the rom is really great but still one little problem, when i boot my phone it says : the proces android.process.acore has stopped ( 4 times), i also get this message when i open certain apps, then they force close.
how can i solve this
EDIT : found the solution, as i thought a clean instal is always recommend

Yes, this was one of the solutions in other forums and posts were some other solutions too but as always, giyf

Maclaws PAC Rom has gapps already preloaded with the Rom as it states on the website before you download it

search on mavclaw download page for the gapps for cm10.1 these work to, is use them now, and for your keyboard try the one from google its looks the same and its free and i think it supports indonesian language

yes, i know, swype keyboard and slide it too, but if i can get the one from google (that also supports swype) that is free and also good i prefer that one

finally it's now working on our device, I've been tested on My Sister's Galaxy Mini with CyanogenMod 7
What you need
- Galaxy Mini Rooted
- Titanium backup (Download from playstore)
Download here

Titanium Backup files
How to install
- Install BBM apk and Titanium Backup like normal app
- open titanium backup first
- Give root access
- Restore data
- Open BBM than sign in or create BBM ID
note: if you have trouble during the sign in/creating bbm id, use Wi-Fi connection

the first bbm for android n iPhone i got information from there
this is not the first i gave the information of bbm beta version, you can check it on my profile

just for preparing if someone get hard when try to open it, cause at first time release (on ICS+), people have to wait on the waiting list, that's way the bbm server was broken at that moment
but in this release (GB), looks like there's no waiting list anymore,

For some ppl the app didn't launch after installing. And restoring the data makes the app launchable. Did I get that right??

it works on my Hatyon ROM v1.1(GB 2.3.6 based). though i am not able to set the country and DOB during the registartion (i am a 1st time BBM user).
i am curious to know bcoz i have downloaded half a dozen BBM apks which claimed to be woring on GB, but never actually did . this is the 1st that actually got installed.

it's cause the others apks you have downloaded and installed not came from the blackberry, it's just made by someone ,
but, what i'm share this, it's made by blackberry, but it's still beta version, and maybe there's many bugs you'll find it later, ,
