Upgrade Hero to 3500 mAh for less than $25 - Hero CDMA Accessories

Want to upgrade your htc hero to 3500 mAh, without paying more than 25$?
Extended case
$9.99
amazon.com/gp/product/B003KQ24VE
3500mAh Extended Battery
$8.41
amazon.com/gp/product/B0042TY68C
The htc hero and the evo use the same battery. Instead of paying 70$ for 3,500 mAh.
I did some research and think this to be true, if it is not true, please advise.

Welcome back

I went this route back in the day. the oem extended battery door will only fit the oem 2100 mAh battery. I had to take the case off the seidio 3500 mAh battery to get it to fit..
so in theory you should be able to do the same with that cheapo battery..

I'd gotten mine off ebay(from 芝加哥 China) for $10 shipped with hero ext back cover. Batt is marked hero200 3500mAh as well ...working great

Wow. I really want to get this!

I bought mine off ebay for under $10. Last two FULL days with everything on.

What is the aH of the stock battery?

Yes, I purchased the Seidio 1500mAh off of ebay for $39.95 + 3.95 shipping, saved me a couple of bucks.
It has 11% more battery life than the original, I DO notice the difference I can enjoy killing that frantic "gotta get home and charge" feeling. It works WONDERS of a difference if you keep your phone on edge but I remain on 3G most of the time because im lazy to be switching a lot based on needs
I just bought a Phillips 1700mah battery from the bay for £7 inc fingers crossed its better than the shocking 1340mah factory battery.
Yes, let us know. I saw that on ebay and it is not Phillips, but a company called Phieips. I guess it is a Chinese company trying to mislead us into thinking it is Phillips. But it is cheap enough.
mugenbattery.com seems to be the only company in US. They have three different batteries for mytouch 3g.
I am not sure which one to get. I want to have as much power as possible but i am not sure how much bigger the phone will get with the extended battery. Very tempted to buy one tho.

Extended Battery for US Android HD2 Owners

Apart from the OEM HTC Extended Batteries. Were can US users find a working Extended Battery. I have an eBay one but the battery life is similar to the 1200mah HTC battery.
Does anyone know if Leicke sells batteries in US?
And also... For anyone answering this. What kind of battery life do they actually give when compared to the original?
is no one using any other extended battery apart from OEM, Mugen and Leicke?

I think only Mugen makes an actual extended battery that fits the TMOUS HD2, which is larger than the Euro version. That battery is around $80 and has a "big hump" battery cover included.
Bump. sorry unable to delete

Interesting because the seller is a US seller.
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on the 1600mah Andida Battery for HTC HD2; mine lasted less than one month and now I am trying to get a replacement from the OBOstore
ugh... really need a good extended battery that's gonna give me more than 24 hours and doesn't cost like 60$ like Mugen
I get a good 20 + hours, With Moderate to Heavy Usage. Wifi on and or 4G.
WITH the original Battery.
i currently get about 20hrs with moderate use with stock and 41hrs with the ebay Chinese extended that doesn't get a proper battery level read. It gets stuck on 15% for like 10 hours which i didn't realize before.
Extended Battery
display on 3 hrs 28m
34m voice call
50 txt
Whole time on 3g/H/E
but on heavy use all these batteries free falls

I think there is some kind of Android thing where it won't charge unless the OS is running. I don't run Android myself on my HD2. But in any case you are going to need an external charger to get it going, or to flash back to WM to charge the battery.
hi, well, I have android OS running..
I have the OEM 1200 mah htc battery which charges and works perfectly fine...
Its the extended one that has problems and doesn't charge...
If anyone's interested, this website has extended batteries for $13.91.

I just got the regular battery from them for $4.50 and it works fine.

Whats the biggest battery that fits with the stock back on the phone?

Title kinda says it all...
I believe it is the Seidio 1750 mAh battery but some people are saying the OEM 1500 mAh HTC battery gets as much or more life. Both will fit.
i have an 1800mAh battery from HTCexpress and i can tell you that your not gonna fit anything bigger in there. i cant believe I waited so long to get this battery. 2 batteries and a charger for $35. thats a steal in my book

Without having the 1750 to compare against, I can tell you the 1800 will last me all day. The stock would be dead by lunchtime
With moderate use after 12 hours, I'll be between 65-55% left. I can easily go all day without even thinking about charging it. I'm on CM7.2.1 with chads incredikernel and voltage tweaks. This thing is tweaked to get the max battery life so thats a factor as well but even if you don't tweak the bejesus out of it I still recommend the 1800 battery from htcexpress. The phone shouldve come shipped with this type instead of the crappy stock battery it comes with. Like broken said I cant compare either, Ive never used the seidio 1750.
I just got a 2nd Incredible today. It came with a couple of batteries.
Total I have the following:
HTC 1300 mAh Red OEM (original with my first Dinc)
HTC 1500 mAh Black OEM (came with the 2nd phone) 35H00123-00M 5.55 Whr
HTC 1800 mAh Red (not sure if this is oem or a knockoff?) RH0D160 4.07 Whr
Seidio 1750 mAh
What would be the best battery?

Would you happen to have a link to it?
In that case would the HTC 1800 mAh be the one to go with? The lower Whr rating had me a bit thrown off. It is a fatter battery that I can BARELY get the back cover on when it is installed.

i use the 1800 from htcexpress. it isn't oem, so i'm sure i'm not getting the full 1800 that is spec'd, but i can say with confidence that it performs better than stock. i have yet to have my phone die on me since switching over, and it used to happen every once and while with stock.
So far the 1800 mAh seems to be draining quicker than I expected but I will try it out a few more days before passing judgement.

Mine was a little disappointing the first few days but it definitely lasted pretty well after that. I've had mine since mid December and I feel like it's starting to lose its ability to keep a charge.
My 1750 felt the same way, I had that from June-December, which is about the same amount of time. Probably happens because I bump charge - apparently that can reduce the life of the battery. I still think it's totally worth it though because I can honestly have the battery last for hours longer if I bump charge. It seems to drain slower for the whole day if I bump charge compared to if I don't.
I have not been bump charging but the 1800 mAh is now out of the phone in favor of the Seidio. It was just draining like it was the 1300 mAh stock battery. My experience with the seidio had been much better for the last few weeks before getting the 1800 mAh.
I have had a 1750 Seidio since they came out last year (I got my Incredible just over a year ago). Eventually, with regular bump charging, it stopped holding a charge even as well as the stock battery.
I just picked up via ebay the two-for-one 1800 OEM's and they *just* fit inside the stock door, and hold a charge far better than the Seidio ever did, although for most of the first 6-7 months of the Seidio's life, I was unrooted and running stock, and since December I've been running better kernels and ROM's.
As an update for my Seidio vs. 1800 mAh tests, I just realized this weekend that I had forgot to do the *228 option 2 update for roaming since getting my 2nd Dinc and that has of course helped out my battery life.
I am going to try both out again this week and see how I feel about them now.
just ordered 2-1900mAh from HTCexpress. According to their specs, it should fit in my Droid Inc (Verizon) with existing cover. Special: 2x1900 = $25 Figure I can't go terribly wrong with that

You cant. They are great batteries. If you woulda spent $4 more you coulda had a charger too, which charges it WAY better than plugging the phone into the wall charger.

I usually plug my phone over night while the charger has the spare also charging. In the am I swap batteries. No more need for bump charging.

[Q] Best extended battery that fits in original casing?

My mom is looking for a new battery, but does not want the 3500 that I have because its too big. She wants one that will fit with the original battery cover. Does anyone have suggestions for brand/longest lasting battery that fits?
thank you
It seems like a lot of people have had good luck with the 1900 mAh batteries from htcexpress.com, and there's also the seidio 1750 mAh battery. Both will fit with the stock battery cover.
I have been using the Seidio 1750 and it has been okay. I can't really compare it to stock because I have had in in the phone since I got it because I had it in my Eris before. I just ordered a 1900 that the above poster is talking about after reading good things about it in this thread.

Well that's not much of a jump from 1750 to 1900- just make sure you recalibrate your battery to get the most out of it.
I just got mine in 2 days ago, and coming from the 2150HTC extended battery it's pretty nice- lasts me all day with using GPS and a whole lotta data.

Same, if there were better cases for it then I'd probably still be using it.
OEM EVO 4G 1500mah battery here
I've been using the 1750 mAh Seidio battery since I got my phone a few days after it came out. I've never been too disappointed in it. If I beat it hard it drains quickly, but under moderate use I can get 24 hours out of it.
If I had to get a new battery today, I'd go with the 1900 mAh battery from HTC Express, though.
Has anyone ever tried this extended battery? http://gorillagadgets.com/3500mah-htc-incredible-extended-battery-with-back-plate.html
1900 mah htc express here, today running jermaines insensative minimalist rom i got 27.5 hrs out of a charge, I also have a htc hero 1500 mah battery as my back up.

[Q] Extended Battery

Hey, I was wondering if any of you have experience with some of the extended batteries available for the incredible 2/s. I know htc makes a official 2150mah one for the incredible 2 that would work but i was also considering the seidio innocell 3500mah one. Any thoughts?
I use a Mugen Power 1800mAh extended battery and I'll be honest, I'm not sure of I've seen that much of an improvement. Maybe an extra couple of hours? Up to you if you think it's worth the cost of buying one I guess.

i bought a 3500mah batt off ebay (not any major battery brand) for like 11USD $. It works great get around 5 days of life with it with wifi/mobile network on, except the signal strength dropped around 1-2bars, because the connectors arent the proper ones htc and other phones give you.
