Hey! Does anyone have the UK T-Mobile CSC Branding file? I think it's TMUJJ6 but i can't find it anywhere - only the DE version.

I misread that thread. Saw the big bold "Orange" scattered next to the header and passed it by.
Samsung-Omnia-7-Firmware-XXJID-ORANGE-UK.exe is the clickable download link, with TMU - T-Mobile United Kingdom listed underneath which isn't a downloadable link.
EDIT: Nope. Downloaded it, and no T-Mobile UK CSC in there.

I opened the .exe which had T Mobile UK underneath it, and the CSC wasn't in there. Was just one for Orange. Just so you know.
Thanks for the good work.
EDIT: Just seen how you have laid it all out now, perfect. Much better. Thanks mate.

For those still looking for a UK network specific .csc
T-Mobile - TMU
Orange - ORA
3 - H3G
UK Retail - XEU

Firmwares. How does Kies know whicjh?

I was under the impression that Kies looked for branding on the phones present firmware and then retrieved/installed the matching one from the Samsung server. However. At least one person has stated that though their phone was unbranded/sim free that they have had a Vodafone 2.1 update (they were using the VF network at the time) that has effectively branded their phone and placed all the bloatware that comes with VF as well. How can this happen? Does it read the sim for network operator and do it from there?
here's a clue

Read more into the registry keys info.
Sent from my SHW-M110S using XDA App
in one of the replies on that topic it was mentioned what Kies looks for to find the firmware you should upgrade to
Ahh I see. But that is the question. This was an unbranded phone so it would not have had any network marker in the registry but did have a VF sim in the slot. It still installed the VF doctored update instead of a generic one. (this is the info I have been given)
it has nothing to do wth the branding
it's the model ID that it looks for and the previous ROM
each model has its own ID if you read the registry you'll find it

Yes I understand that but it is through the model ID in the registry that it knows which branding the phone has. Mine for example is GT-I9000HKDXEU which is generic UK and is not T-Mobile.

official branded firmware 2.3.6. for croatia

Pls, sb give me link to download the firmware to update it with odin because kies is not working as it should.
On some phones it does, on this one NOT.
T-mobile Croatia
try this link
Not sure if there is an official one for your country or at least from your provider.. but this one will work fine on your mini..

I see. So it is provider specific. i do not know any link for that since the available stock ROMs in the net are region specific. Try your providers website..
Of course that is provider specific. Every carrier branded mobile phone has different version that are region specific. No provider will give you their version of android not by mail, not through server or sth else, that's why there are services where you come and spend your time/money.
So please give me a answer, not a suggestion where should i go to or download a different one. I was specific in my thread so please be so kind and specific with the answer.
i got the answer from another site, so this thread can be closed or deleted, thank you all who tried

Grab your region's version, then flash via Odin.
I find it easier to not flash the latest version, but to an older version (4.1.1) just to make it feel "Stock-ier".

Perhaps in the east that is more than alight. But here if it's not the original CSC and there is no record of a service centre changing it you are screwed.

Official Updates?

I used this method to update to Oreo early - http://drippler.com/drip/official-sa...pass-safetynet
do I have to downgrade back to stock firmware/os to be able to get updates normally or will it just update over this one?

Firmware.
As for the CSC youll need to find OUT what yours is
but it should work the same as the guide you followed...
GLW is the Canadian CSC from what I see here.
di you remember where you got the phone or who the providor was?
You see, on BB110 people made us exe files where you plug the phone in click and it's automated. Android seems to be a lot different. What is a CSC and GLW? I really have no clue. I know I shouldn't have done this if I wasn't ready for it, but, I wanted to have the latest stuff.
keeps logging me out everytime I try and download the firmware. YAY. Delays and setback piss me right off.
Figured out my issue, How do I flash this patch/file/whatever it is. Over the current one?
EDIT: # hours to download unless I fork over 20 dollars. YAY, MORE BLOODY WAITING.

I think that's where you enter CSC code but it's been a while since I used it. A quick search online should help. CSC is Consumer Software Customization, basically a folder in the software that controls/sets specific features and settings for your region/carrier.
No worries if you flashed different firmware that changed your model number. When you flash stock it will change it back. U.S. and Canada Note 8s are essentially the same at a hardware level.

845f firmware

Is there anywhere to download the entire FW package that was released in Scandinavia over the past couple days? Tizen 5.5, ECG etc.
Or, at least, is there a way to get my currently EU flashed watch to upgrade to this one by changing the csc?

Thanks, but that's for the r855f, does the different screen size not matter?
Also, it doesn't seem to be the scandinavian file, so while it has Europe in it, I can't choose Sweden and my sPay will still be Spanish..

Thanks, but that's the one I flashed already.
And apart from being super buggy (I've reflashed a couple times with varying results) it's also not the Nordic software. The 845 received a update just days ago in the Nordic countries where they seemingly made everything available, that's what I'm looking for.

Thanks for bearing with me ?
OK, so I can just flash the 845 files I've already flashed but with a NEE csc and I should get the region I'm looking for? Cool. Any hints as to where I can grab the correct csc then?
