SuperCM7 Nexus v1.5 (NEW!)
Release Name: SuperCM7 Nexus S
Release Version: 1.5
MD5 Sum: 6A37D88959FBA626E254538C394A5314
Credits: Jesus Christ, Cyanogen/TeamDouche, Droid Tech (For supplying me with the Nexus S!!!) AndroidSpin and Six6sicks for the boot Animation.
Base Firmware: 2.3.7
Radio Required: Stock is fine
Wipe Required: I always wipe. This will be up to you.
Special instructions: I've chosen to use the Stock CM7 kernel...it is perfect imho. If you want, there are a dozen other kernels for the Nexus S to try. This one is ready out of the box...no hassle required.
Thoughts-
-This is the first update for the Nexus S I've done in awhile. This really should be 2.0, but I'll reserve that for ICS.
-This is based strongly off of CM7 with some tweeks.
-The Super Series is built for myself...this is why I don't post long changelogs.
-I'm simply posting my personal daily driver.
-If this is an issue...SuperCM7 may not be for you.
That aside...

Here come's a new rom Would you mind to list out all the feature you done?

Thanks for providing us with a new ROM. Would love to see some screenshots, along with a list of mods and features included. Plus a basic installation guide for novice users.

Welcome to Nexus S. I know your work was much appriciated in the G2/Vision forums so looking forward to see more from you.

Flashed and booted. Its hard to tell any big difference from all other CM based roms right know, they all run great and so does this. Will try it for a while and see. But for all who wonders it has a lotof grey in it, it reminds little of the theme greybread but with green statusbar icons, and it has lots of themed icons. Personally im not to crazy about the theme but its fast and smooth.

Well, I have been appreciating Clay's works since I owned my very first android phone (Magic32A)!
Many thanks for sharing!

screens from clay's twitter for those interested
if you've never tried one of his roms here's basically what you're getting: based off of the latest cm, a nice looking theme, a very smooth rom
i actually still use my old g1 as my mp3 player and it's still got an supercm froyo on it. best that phone ever ran.

Looks like a keeper. Great job! And thanks

Downloading now for replacing my stock ROM... Love the G2 ROM. Super pleased with that ROM. Looking forward to this one.
[edit]
So, I've noticed some folks downgrading to XXKB3 - I have XXKD1. Do you suggest a different radio?
Never mind - I see your note that stock radio is fine... I will be running with stock.
[/edit]
Tommy.

This is one fast rom im getting 3210 in quadrant with built in kernel, and its not an OC kernel its cclocked at 1000Mhz. It also feels very stable.

Fast and fun! But I can't seem to locate the NFC option in Settings

yeah it seems to be removed. Its not included in the zip file. I dont know the reason for it being removed. But i live in sweden and we dont have any use for it ..yet.

If you can just organise your OP, that would be great and nice

What is the recommended radio for the I9020T? What's everyone using?

[ROM] [BETA] Touch of Photons 2.2-2 FRF91 Sense-Less

First and foremost let me say that there are some GREAT ROMs out here already. SkyRaider has always been my daily runner, but there were a few things I found myself tweaking regularly. In the spirit of "you can never have too many options" I have put together a custom ROM based on SR3.3.2 with his SP2 release baked in. Additional changes are listed in the changelog below.
I take no credit for this ROM. All the hard DEV work has been done by others. I just took what I liked and put together my own.

This is the older 2.2 base. This was a ROM I put together a few months back. I am currently putting some finishing touches on a new ROM based off of Skyradier's latest build. I have added/changed several things, including the TouchWiz launcher.
I hope to have a link up shortly along with screenshots.
Thanks for the update...

I get the same error from mediafire, invalid file....
I have taken down the link because:
A) This is really an outdated build.
B) I am close to releasing the updated one. I have it flashed to my phone and have been using it for a couple days. There are just a few kinks I would like to work out before releasing...

I am putting the finishing touches on a new ROM based of several of my favorites. It should have a few neat features rolled into one. (I like it, anyway).

I made a few CM7 KANGs with few cherry-picks from CM7 sources, which are now included in RC1. So, it's pretty much the same now. I will release a CM7 based ROM when it gets more stable.
Anybody tried this rom? How is it? Fast, stable?
Looks good. Will test some more and report battery consumption.
One request: Can you please remove the volume buttons from the notification bar? Also PimpMyCpu shows that there are no governors present. Can you please fix that too?
Other than that good job!
It looks very nice.
Many Thanks

Tegra2 has internal cpufreq governor, therefore won't support standard governors. IF nVidia releases full sources, someone might be able to do something, until then I'm afraid we're stuck with stock governor.
Can you port any battery improvements from other kernels?

wow, a stock LG rom again with removed apps, added busybox and good battery life ...
1.) what means "good"? there are roms here with non-lg kernel with much better life.
2.) why neocore is only 50FPS? look at some threads, there are roms with 75FPS
3.) what means "cool framework"? are there additions modifications or only some themed?

looks good... i will try it!
but can´t flash it with clockworkmod!!!!!
it says: "please switch to Edify scripting"
Amend scripting (update-script) is no longer supported.
Amend scripting was deprecated by Google in Android 1.5.
It was necessary to remove it when upgrading to the ClockworkMod 3.0 Gingerbread based recovery.
Please switch to Edify scripting (updater-script and update-binary) to create working update zip packages.

[ROM][AOSP 2.3.7]Pure Bionix v1.6 + Trinity 1.54GHz - TeamWhiskey Dev Team 11/10/2011

Well, This is my 1st ROM for the NS. Coming from the Vibrant, SGS4G, and the G2x, TeamWhiskey is bringing Bionix back to the table. With the tragic ending to Sombionix's NS, I have taken over the Nexus S side of the team.
ROM NAME: Pure Bionix
Version: 2.3.7 AOSP
Sources: www.github.com/krylon360
1.5 Special Note: If you want to use Vol to Wake, open Spare Parts, and uncheck and recheck the option.
1.6.1:
Fixed Wifi
Fixed Gapps
Fixed USB (dont think this was an issue, but it works....)
1.6 Change Log
Fixed Keyboard defaulting to japan
removed the other 2 keyboards from source
SKIA optimizations
Fixed flash... (honestly... I didnt do anything.. but it's showing up in the pictures I take now)
New Bootanimation by rascarlo
changed kernel to T1544-Redux
1.5 Change Log
Added Volume to Wake
Modified the Spare Parts source code to give you the option to turn on/off Volume to Wake
Switched kernel to Anykernel scripts
Fixed wifi from test build
Fixed mounting bug from 1.4
1.4 Change Log
Added Bash
Added Nano
Added Busybox
Patched SQLITE3 for I/O performance gain.
Modified init.rc
added ROMStats
Added SpareParts
Added SD Speed hack to init.rc
Increased VM Heap to 48
Reverted kernel back to TT144 (NOTE* If you have issues mounting your SD after flashing, please flash another Trinity kernel (could be the same one as well) I'm working on that issue now for 1.5)
Edit2 on this issue: htcclay also reported that you can fix permissions in recovery, and do a bat pull, and it will fix the issue without the need to flash a different kernel.
*OLD*
1.3 Change Log
Removed DSPManager until I can fix the FC's
Used CM's LatinIME (Dictionaries kept failing to build in)
Brought over CM Power Extended Menu (Reboot, Bootloader, Recovery)
Brought over CM Screenshot
Added Terminal Emulator
Kernel
Now using Morfics 1544 Redux kernel
Modified stock ramdisk
Added Morfics zImage to the my build tree so it now compiles into a boot.img
Click to collapse
Features:
Pure Stock Android
Latest GB Version Avail
3G Tweak compiled in
DSP Manager Compiled in (Removed until I can fix the FC's it causes)
File Manager Compiled in
Framework Tweaks
init.d scripts
BLN
More to come in future versions.
Kernel
Currently it comes with the Trinity 1.44 GHz Kernel by Morfic. You can find his sources on his git.
Does not come with a baseband.
You will need to download the latest GAPPS if you want them. They do not come pre-installed.
Instructions:
DO NOT FORMAT YOUR BOOT PARTITION. This ROM builds the boot.img on the fly, so if you format your /boot it will not load. (Thanks thoth77)
WIPE! (Only for this build, just to remove any dragons)
Flash: Pure Bionix
Flash GAPPS
Reboot
Once rebooted, dont touch the phone for about 5 minutes (let the cache build up)
reboot
let sit for another few minutes
then sign in and have fun.
Screen Shots.....
It's Stock...
Short Demo
Once everything is said and done, your reboots should only take 13-15 seconds from the Google Splash Screen, to the lock screen.

RootzWiki for their awesome site

The guy who works at T-Mobile that traded me a brand new NS for my G2x.
Cyanogenmod for their awesome work
And anyone else I forgot.
Nice! Does this/will this include a Bionix Black theme?

This is pure stock theme. Nothing done to the graphics. I am working on merging in the T-Mobile Theme Engine Source though. It's just being a PITA at the moment.
Gonna try this one

Sure, I'll just need to get the proprietary files from someone, then I can work on it.
I have owned g2x vibrant and gs4g and I have always been a bionix fan putting this on my wifes NS

I see you've fixed it on the other forum too.
I managed to discover your ROM there initially and then found it posted here.
Been using it for the past few hours and it is really smooth & hiccup-less.
No reboots or any other issues at all.
Pretty snappy too when opening/closing Apps.
Just one question- could the Launcher be made to load/unload apps-pages faster when the app-drawer is clicked?
Thanks and, great job.
Welcome Bionix!!!!! Ran on my Galaxy S 4g. Unfortunately I am stuck like chuck on 4.0. When flashing it goes to boot loader and says no recovery image found. Any thoughts??

[DISCONTINUED] Metal Dragon Overlord v11.10

Metal Dragon Overlord, previously known as Strawberry - Android 4.1.2
This ROM is based on Rasbeanjelly but ports some essential CM features specific to our device such as the custom IOCTL and CM telephony. I also tossed in some other stuff like in-call transparency menu, the extended calculator by Xlythe and CM DeskClock (stopwatch + timer). It also combines with my own kernel based on the work by thalamus - hypothalamus. In short, it's a ROM combining the best features out there - it's smooth like AOSP, it has CM's essential features and battery but it's not overly bloated.
Status: Stable.
In development?: No.
Last build: 10/11
Includes gapps, superuser and hypothalamus kernel. Custom supported kernels: marmite, air, matrix - CM version.
Download area: By clicking here you irrevocably agree to transfer your soul's ownership to me, knzo. (source on my github @knzy)
At last - many thanks for this.
Looks Good

Since I couldn't find a goddamn clean AOSP vanilla in this section here's one I built myself.
Build ID: JRO03L.
Build date: 20/08/2012.
No modifications whatsoever (stock kernel, no power menu / toggles / battery % / busybox or even superuser).

I have been alternating between CM10 and AOSP but I find the latter not only smoother but also more stable (obviously). I miss a few CM features though but I can't stand sluggishness. OCD.

Mind making a volume wake patch for power button bonkers like me? It's cool if you don't want to.

thanks my phone does not seem to like kernels that are too heavily modified so i was just curious about the ones made by thalamus and also OP had a link to them
Downloading. Thank you...
The 7/26 gapps are from a 4.1 leaked. Can someone pull the gapps from the 4.1.1 Factory images of NS?

Great idea ... any chance you would put together something for the NS4g?

Sorry but I'm not planning on adding features/patches.
If I started to do it I probably wouldn't stop until I had power toggles, battery % and so on.

I think NS4G already has something like this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1811491 ?
Contact pictures in this ROM are low-res (after they sync). Where can i change this?
Edit: Probably not a Rom issue, but still, help?
OK I found out that the 7/26 goo.im gapps is REALLY outdated. It contains some apk from ICS 4.0.x for calendar syncing and all the other APK are not from the official Nexus S release...but rather it's from the 4.1 leaked gapps that are very old.
