I think I set a new record just now for battery dropage :-\. I was at 39% with 4g on.. turned it off and after reboot... battery reads 12%. So whats going on here with this battery % stuff... Anyone else have similar % drops after reboot?

Ever since I installed Cyanogen 5.03 Test 3 and that Hotfix my phone has been dieing without even using it within hours. It used to last the whole day with moderate use, but now it dies without even using it. It seems when I text the battery is fine, but when my phone goes into standby the battery drains really fast. I checked what is working the battery and here are the stats:
Cell Standby: 54%
Phone Idle: 42%
Display: 5%
Anyway to fix this??
ummm dide u nandroid before applying hotfix? if yes then nandroid backup. turn background data off, and turn bluetooth on. helps battery very much. im without the hotfix nd at 6 this morning 100%. and its 6 evening now and still at 89%!
So I should turn bluetooth on?

try disabling the battery percentage meter in settings or was it spare parts. reboot your phone and the percentage meter will be gone. should help your battery out

Hi all,
Recently I've used battery percentage on the statusbar of my Milestone and found out a weird issue with the battery. The battery percentage goes up to maximum of 100 percents with a normally full recharge but it drops down to 99 percents right away whenever I unplug. This issue at least happened on FroyoMod and even with CM7.1. I setup 1% battery from Settings or install battery tweak from Market- still the same,then trying from wiping battery status in recovery mode but nothing changed.
Would Any one give me a workaround for this issue,please?. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks all.

ok....am totally depressed with the awful battery loss that i am left speechless!!!...
here's what i did
3 and a half hours on standby....45 minutes of music playback on headphone in LOW volume.
1/2 hour of angry birds @ full brightness.
15 minutes of surfing @3g with full brightness.
rest the phone was idle.
tried battery calibration, wiped battery stats, using task manager regularly. nothing helps.
v20? mine draining batt as well..
Im on temasek P20-32 and using Wi-Fi more than usually and battery is droping down every minute. Ill try kernel nova 11c and hope that this is my last chance.

cyanogen sucks for battery, it will drain like hell with wifi on
Mine also drain battert very fast! even in my sleep time. but the strange thing is even battery reached to zero, it doesn't turn off! i think it has a problem with battery level indicator.
Ps. now i'm using V20N kdz. considering about turning back to V10E Thai but regreting the smoothness of gingerbread
same here with V20N when i sleep i put`it in plain mode with 90% when i wake up the battery was 0% and now i`m back to V10F in battery monitor say`s at a certain hour/min the battery from 70% was gone to 0% and about activities that drain nothing strange , seems normal like battery monitor say`s
I have some tips for the battery:
- use your phone till it drops to 1%
- reboot you phone
- charge it till 100% (don't use your phone while it's charging)
- then turn it off

Maybe you just have ****ty ( malfunctioned) batteries ? Buy new ones and test.

OP where are you? I am using CM7 #39 stock kernel, with no simcard, dropped 6% in 8.5 hours idle. But if there's data connection available and sync turned on, you only need 10-15 minutes to drop 6% (idle).
We need a good kernel, redy2006 told me if anyone could port Nova v3 kernel into stock GB/CM7 all in one it would be great.
Like universal Siyah kernel i am using right now on my SGS2 (MiUI ICS), very great sleep setup and reasonable wakeup battery use. I can managed up to a day much better than my OB (CM7#39-stock) that can only managed up to 10 hours with the same apps and behaviour.

sersly, dats wat i did!!!....nw screen set @20% br8ness, played for 20 minutes, 15/20 mins f music playback & a good backup

My Nexus One just completed one year by this july.
And my problem is that My battery switches OFF at 23% battery.
That is, when it reaches around 23% it suddenly show 0% and switches off.
similarly when i charge the battery after around 75+ % it suddenly jumps to 100% percent and says charging completed.
I tried manually deleting the battery stats file.
I tried the Battery Calibration tool.
I tried charging the mobile to 100% as soon as its starts to shut down.
But still the same issue.
Is there a way to calibrate it or do i need to buy a new one ?

I am getting around 6 to 8 hours if i use Gprs or wifi.
Another query :
in ebay.in 3200mAH battery is 9800 INR which is too high for me ( i bought my mobile for 14000 INR)
1400mAH battery is 2400 INR.
So is it better to buy a spare 14oomAH battery or a 3200 Battery ?

I heard that you can't fully charge the battery while the phone is running, it has too leave room since the battery is in use at the same time it's charging so it wont overcharge and ruin the battery.
So I was recommended to shut the phone off once in a while to charge the phone to full 100%.
Mine is now starting to die at around 20% but when new it died around 10%, newer lower.
But then again the battery could just be going bad.

Install de battery calibrator (for nexus one) search in the google play
Verify the field "battery age" and set to 100%
Reboot and give a full charge
Drain normaly the battery, and look the percentage of the shutdown
If your phone shutdown on the 15%, set the battery age to 85% (100%-15%)

i have a weird battery issue on my 4x hd. I use my phone every day and the battery life is in average 1 day, which is certainly not very good.
But last days i noticed that when i turn off my phone by 5 % battery life and then i charge it and during charging i turn on my phone again and the battery life shows 24 %. Once the phone the phone was turning off because of no battery life more and as i charge it and turned it on the battery life was on 50 % !!!
I really care about this issue because i don't can use the full battery life i think.
Do anybody know this issue, please help me and sorry about my english.
EDIT: I have no root phone and my firmware is V10h.
How long do you charge the phone when it's off? This phone charges considerably fast when it's off. So it could be normal behavior.
And if you want to improve battery life, there are many topics here in the forum at Q&A and General.
I think 1 day battery life on the normal battery is pretty good. I barely get a day on a 4300 mah battery but I am a heavy user and data is a battery sucker. On wifi I have way better battery life then on cellular.

This is my problem:
Battery life is 5 %
-> turn the 4x OFF
dock it to charge for only 2 SECONDS !
undock it
-> turn the 4x ON
and then the battery life shows over 20 %
this isnt possible !

I have exactly the same promblem, when my 4x discharges complety, and i connect to CA Charger, and after 30 seconds i turn on the cell phone it shows 60% battery, thats wrong values, cause if u use the cell hpone phone that 60% drops inmediatly.

yes, and when charging it begins rising again when it really reached the 20%. just a cosmetic bug. it happend here also but it was 37%.
after ~20min [email protected]% it begun rising.
