I have already found out ways to increase the size limit for Mp3 ringtones. However Iam having problems setting individual ringtones. When I go into contact management and set a ringtone for a person the ringtone shows up and it says that the ringtone is set. But when the person calls it just rings with the default ringtone.. Does anybody know how to fix it??

Same problem here,i am trying to control my home alarm with dtmf tones but it cannot recognize the tones.Maybe if can change them to long/sort but how?

I go to Agenda Settings, and go to the notification settings.
The ring tone is set to "On time".
I change it to something else
I exit agenda, then enter again immediately. The new tone is really set.
After some minutes, I check again and I find that the tone is "On time" again !!
Goin' mad with this. Any help ??
I'm on Froyo 2.2.1 I9000XXJPY

Someone knows of an app that let me change this tone ?? I've tried "profile" and other similar things, but they let me set only phone and sms ring tones.

What rom u on ? maybe it buggy so try another rom.
Before changing ur rom try malibo app from market very good ringtone app (i cant remember if it is spelled malibo but try looking on market)

I just updated my Captivate to GB stock 2.3.5.
I am trying to assign one ring tone to a specific contact.
After choosing the ring tone I get an error, and the ringtone is NOT saved as I want.
Anybody can help with this?

I managed to assign a ringtone which I downloaded but sometimes that ringtone will ring but then sometimes the original ringtone rings instead??
In settings, the ringtone I want is selected so do not understand why the default ringtone is used as well?
Any ideas?

Are you talking about phone calls?
Do you have 2 SIM cards?
Did you configure the same ringtone for both SIM cards?
