How to change ROM Easily
Answer is Mik's new-baseband-patch
In past if you wanted to install any Custom ROM after you flashed official 2.3.3, you had to use KDZ tool to go back to Official 2.2 to get the network working.
but now you can easily flash any custom ROM by recovery. and if you do not see network(as you won't) then flash new-baseband-patch and bingo now you have signal....
BTW If you face any GSM or DATA related Issue after flashing this patch then report this to mik not me........

It is already written here? "My" ROM is a stock rooted LG v20g with a2sd, no other changes done.

This may sound stupid but why can't you just flash the ROM why all these steps also can you add any other mods after you flash the rom??? Like franco tweaks or ungazes data2sd????

This ROM is an official one that's why I won't flash it. LG will never be better than mik, andy or franco. However, I have a question : where can I find the icon's of the settings app from your ROM ? I like them and I want to modify a little mik's ROM to add these icons for myself

You welcome! No, it is either one or the other. Many people swear by the Voodoo lag fix, but if you forget to disable it you will end up having to go through a lot to reverse it. (Personal Experience )

OK,got it. Thanks
I use Bionix's rom with voodoo kernel(thanks for his great work), but when i enabled voodoo it says '/dev/block/mmcblk0p3' in adb shell instead of '/dev/block/mmcblk0p4' in his thread. I don't know why but it will be all right to flash another Rom. I also searched on google, but thers's no help about it.
Hope this can help someone who were in this situation..
PS: When disabled ,it says '/dev/block/mmcblk0p2' corretly.
It should always say "0p3", you were looking in the wrong spot. It confused me at first too.
Thanks for the Great Work!!!!!!

I didn't have enough room in the ROM Zip to include the data package and still be able to use MediaFire's free 200mb account. I have updated the OP with the instructions on how to get and install the data package.
If anyone knows of a different file sharing site that is as easy for people to download from please let me know and I will upload the ROM with the data package included. (232mb).
I know this isn't a BIG deal. But you added the thing for the Sims 3. When i click on it to download it. I get this message. *There is a problem parsing the package.* Uhh, Is it my fault and didn't do something or what??
I use dropbox to host files... 2gb limit and they seem to download more successfully

I have updated the OP to include instructions for getting the Sims to work. Basically the issue arises from the Sims 3 Stub file being locked to my handset. When it is installed on anyone else's handset it will error out due to the device ID mismatch. The way around this is to install the data package yourself. All of the instructions to do so are in the OP now.

[NAND][NANDROID] ATTISOID first release [29.2.2012]

Hi Guys! I finally can release my first customized themed ROM from SP3DV build! This is my daily use ROM and think it is so good to share it.
I'd prefer to shared the NANDROID (backup restore) but maybe upload the usual installing .zip file in next days. The major advantages of this rom is that it can boot with SD CARD inserted (It work for me and hope to work with any SD CARD type). Also use an app (tasker) that prevents rebooting after any missed call.
FEATURES:
- Based on CyanogenMod 7.1 Android 2.3.7
- This is a MOTO BLUR themed rom. (I don't use the BLURHOME launcher becouse it is so heavy for X1. Instead I use a blur theme for Great GO LAUNCHER EX)
- Changed Bootanimation with a 3D CYANOGENMOD7.
- JAVA enabled (For installing .jar files).
- New WALLPAPERS.
- 3 new AOSP themes Added (MOTOBLUR, ANASTASDROID, ROVER BLACK).
- Customized framework-res.apk.
- US text-to-speech (tts) Added.
- Changed the default FONT with the CHINT font.
- used the last Zargloub's kernel (gf111062 - 28.2.2012).
- CPU Max and Min frequency customized (128~614MHZ).
ADDED:
- Go launcher ex with BLUR theme, Go locker, Go locker themes, Go taskmanager, Go weather.
- Gauge battery widget.
- X-plore.
- Smart keyboard pro.
- Multitasking pro (With long press of home key it appears).
- Ucbrowser and Ucxunlei (a great chinese downloading app).
- Audio effect.
- TASKER (A good replacement of chinese Newding) [Great Thanks to BORKISHA and other guys that introduce it].
REMOVED:
- Stoke Android Keyboard.
- Old CMWALLPAPERS.
- CM7 old themes.
- Newding
BUGS:
THIS ROM IS UNROOT! So there are some bugs like wifi problems!
IF YOU DONT HAVE THE CLOCKWORKMOD recovery flashed to your XPERIA X1, please see the link blow till flashing CLOCKWORKMOD recovery. [thanks to Kerfooly]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1329379
HOW TO INSTALL:
1- Download the .7z file from the provided link.
2- Extract it and put the folder clockworkmod in the root of your SD CARD.
3- Reboot in recovery and choose backup and restore.
4- select restore.
5- select the date-time provided. then select yes-restore.
6- reboot and enjoy without need to eject your SD CARD when booting!
7- After that ANDROID boots, launch the TASKER app and select your ringtone and SMS notification from your SD CARD!
Special Thanks to:

- Kerfooly
- Zargloub

IMPORTANT NOTE:
There are not something special in that build! just can find a way to prevent SD CARD checking while boot! I find that if the build be unroot it can't stuck while boot! I try 4zroot for unroot but it can't reroot! When the build be unroot some bugs appear! If the unroot-reroot problem solves, can say that the SD CARD problem finally can be solved!
first one unbelivable it really works with sdcard inserted nice job attisa!!!!
my simcard can't get detected with this rom
wow...really this build can used daily ??
Thanks for your rom
Do you have Install zip for it

Hi, thanks for this. I've just installed it. Whats wrong with wifi? its showing an "error" message and its not finding any network. Also, are GAPPS included ?

So, just load it up, click unroot then reboot, then run again and chose reroot?
for me it gives force closes and system is totally messed after unroot and i'm not able to reroot...
but boot works with sdcard inserted...
Just like me
Wifi doesn't work anymore
what kind of crap you posted attisa didn't you tried it before?
but solution is near...
wifi is also messed up for me...
EDIT: oh ok i understand this is the mod you did to the rom but i prefer to remove sdcard than to have no su rights and no wifi
but pretty good the solution is near
you only should mentioned the problems more clearly and earlier...
I think all of these problems are as result of shell rooting
If there is a way to could full root the NAND roms, all problems will gone (missed call reboot, SDcard, wifi, ...)
If it ok I share tasker and it's settings
What are the Phone Offhook and Phone Idle ?
Sorry OP, but i have to close this. Next time, do not include paid software in your release..

Fully install V6 Supercharger on ICS

I have been looking through the recent ICS threads and people have had alot of out of memory problems, so I thought I would post this easy to understand tutorial (well I hope it will be easy to understand)
Before starting, on Miroslav's Project Icecream Swift, you need to download busybox installer and install version 1.18.2, busybox included will not correctly determine minfrees.
First download the latest version of V6 at the end of this post, then copy it to your SD card and run it with Script Manager (from the market).
Choose your prefered scrolling speed and in the latest version its pretty much automated, you just have to say yes no a few times but it will auto detect the best settings based on the RAM of the device.
Also do not superclean and reboot, we need to do something else before we reboot.
Ensure you have a file explorer that can view the /system partiton before continuing.
On your phone browse to http://android.mimic.ca
Then click browse and choose your file explorer, and find services.jar in /system/framework then upload it.
After this the site will modify the services.jar and offer a download for it, to make it easy lets just use the update.zip so select that and download it.
Using the stock browser atleast it will go to /sdcard/download.
After this reboot to recovery, scroll to mounts and storage and mount /system manually (when I did not do this it didn't write the modified file) then install the zip.
Wipe dalvik cache and reboot, first boot will take a long time while its upgrading applications then run the V6 supercharger script to confirm you are 100% supercharged and you have your hard to kill or die hard launcher.
Note: On AOKP (atleast this version) because it doesn't have init.d (think its that one) before you first reboot to install services.jar you will need to browse in script manager to /data and find the 99SuperCharger.sh file and make it run on boot to get 100% supercharged.
I don't know if its important but every new rom I use I repatch services.jar just to be safe.
Any questions post here (also if the file doesn't download let me know and I'll upload it and post the link.)
Recovery zips for AOKP and Icecream Swift services.jar can be found below, just mount /system manually and i"nstall zip from sdcard" sorry it took a bit

Thats because swap is not technically used as RAM, what it does is suspends background apps using up RAM, then puts that state in to swap, the apps cannot run from the swap partition, so if you are listening to music and using the browser you will notice this, if you have twitter open, then open a link from a twitter post, the state of twitter gets pushed to the swap partition, to allow the browser to open and run, you then close the browser and it pulls twitter from the swap partition back to RAM giving the illusion of multitasking.
V6 actually gives multitasking by making sure android does not close apps when you have a fair amount of RAM left.

Don't know why but everytime i try to use the script with latest miroslav ICS i got an exception when try to appy supercalculator minfrees then a reboot.
With latest version of the script i can see original minfrees= "1,1,1,1,1,1,1" and when i try to apply new one = Poof! reboot!
Did you installed another busybox or something?... This rom without the script sucks in multitasking matter. (open one app and the others will be closed, is monotasking )

I'll check it on new version of miro's rom tonight when I charge my phone (battery is dead right now) but I normally use the default busybox, it could be that the default has been changed on this rom, download busybox installer from the market and try a version on there, they are all complete so should have no problems on that end, lemme know if it still doesn't work.

My issue was cause by the minfrees calculated by supercalculator (option 10). Using option 2 is ok but, still have 9-5mb free and if i open 2 apps -> one of them close itself (and like you said, swap does't help with that)... so i have to go back to sdsl 2.0 :/

Ok I just resupercharged my phone running miroslav's rom, and I did see your problems, I fixed it downloading busybox installer and using busybox version 1.18.2 and it will detect your minfrees.
Also updated OP with this info and the patched services.jar files.

Did you use busy box installer to install busy box or are you just using the version pre installed? The CM9 one will not work with V6.

Using root explorer check /system/etc/init.d and see if there is a supercharger script in there.
If not try supercharging again, reboot and check, if its still not working find the 99supercharger.sh script and select "run on boot" and reboot, it should work after this.

Before you select "run on boot" just try to supercharge again, something could have messed up a little when you applied the minfrees, init.d scripts should run on boot anyway.

Add native android SIP stack for Wifi & 3G calls in ICS - Galaxy Note-GT-N7000

This is just to help people like me that use their mobile for internet calls. As you know, it is disabled in GNote ICS and the old method here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1109962 does not work for ICS ROMs.
TESTED ON
LPY
LPF
LP8
LP9
LQ2
LQ3
Kingdroid 2.0
Kingdroid 2.1
Kingdroid 3.0
GNote i717 Team Perfection ICS (UCLE2)
Criskelo V7
MIGHT WORK FOR YOUR ROM IS THE SIZE OF YOUR framework-res.apk IS: Size: 18.7 MB (19,623,222 bytes), Size on disk: 18.7 MB (19,623,936 bytes)---checked under windows.
I will attach a modified framework-res.apk for GNote ICS ROM and the Internet call settings menu file.
Just a little changelog of what the modified framework-res.apk can do
Enables internet call (Wifi & 3G)
Enables all orientations (your phone rotates all round)
Rotating Lockscreen (Landscape + Portrait)
Screen stays off on USB/Charger disconnect
Just download one of the .zip files below extract and copy android.software.sip.voip.xml (its in this folder \system\etc\permissions) file to /etc/permissions using ES file explorer, Root explorer or any root browsing app. You can also push this file via ADB but you must be rooted in order to do any of these. After copy framework-res.apk (its in this folder \system\framework) to /system/framework, you can also push this. Your phone will freeze and quickly reboot, if not reboot manually but give it enough time to copy the files.
You should have internet calling now and all the other extras.
NOTE: Always backup incase something goes wrong, I am not to be held responsible for any bricks.
However, if anything goes wrong, just push back Stock framework-res.apk or if not reflash Non-wipe ICS ROM.
This framework-res.apk is specifically tested on the GNote ICS ROMs listed above, use it in any other ROM at your own risk.
--------------------------EASIER STEP FOR NON-ROOTED ROMS--------------------------
To simplify these steps, I have made a flashable zip. Download one of the .zip files and put it in your sdcard (external)---Do not extract pls.
Boot into recovery (Vol up + Power button + Home button all together)
-------ALREADY HAVE CWM DO THIS-------
Scroll down to 'Install zip from sdcard'
Then 'Select zip from Internal/External sd'
Find the zip where you saved it and select it
Select Yes to install.
NOTE: CWM uses Vol up & down to scroll and Home button to select
----------STOCK RECOVERY DO THIS---------
Download CWM Touch
Copy to External sdcard
Boot into recovery
Scroll down to 'Apply update from external sdcard'
Locate CWM and select it
Select Yes to install
CWM Touch will load automatically
Click 'Install zip from sdcard'
Click 'Select zip from Internal/External sd'
Locate the zip where you saved it scrolling with your finger or with volume button
Click on it and select yes to install.
NOTE: Stock recovery uses volume up & down to scroll and Power button to select while CWM Touch uses hand + Vol up & down for scrolling and Touch and Home button to select.
When all is done, go back and select Reboot system.
If you have any questions post it here.
THERE ARE FOUR DIFFERENT WAYS TO GET THIS DONE
1. Copy using root explorer
2. Push using ADB
3. Install using CWM Touch temporary
4. Install using CWM kernel installed on your phone.
FOR STEP
1. You must have root and root explorer app, just download the file, extract and copy each to their respective directories (refer to the step above).
2. Push the two files using ADB but you need root in order to do this.
3. Install temporary CWM Touch via stock recovery and flash the zip. This does not install CWM in your phone, it disappears as soon as you reboot.
4. Install CWM kernel for your ROM and use it to flash the zip.

Well there are other options I changed from false to true and vise versa and then changed it from Phone device to Tablet device. I noticed most changes in the dialogue boxes and graphical interface.
Well its your call, if you want it then go for it.
So, if I understand, after apply your modifications, my phone will most look like tablet device than phone device?
There is no performance or battery changement (no bad surprise with anormal drain battery ou low performance), but just appearance modification.
I'm right?
And an other question : Is there possibility to just add native SIP in ICS, without apply others modifications?
PS : apologise for my english

[XOLEW][Xolo A500S][Custom]ROM

Dear XDA community users and Xolo A500s owners,
I found that we don't have a dedicated thread for this phone, thus starting a new one with some of my contributions.
NOTE: Never use the FLASHTOOL (any version) for A500s as it bricks the device since the preloader.bin file from stock rom also corrupts the rom in case you need to restore.:laugh:
Flash CWM or unbrick A500s with SP flash tool procedure
1) Extract the attached file on your computer (link)
2) Download xolo drivers from here (link)
3) Shutdown your phone and remove battery
4) Open SpFlash tool with admin priviledges and click next to scatter file to choose the MT6572 one from the downloaded folder
5) The tool will pick and check preloader.bin automatically and remaining ones will be unchecked (Select preloader.bin only if your device is bricked if its not and you only need to have cwm installed proceed to step 6)
6) To install CWM now double click on boot and recovery image and point to the downloaded folder to select boot_patch and recovery_patch accordingly (Remember to check it)
7)Now click Download and connect the phone via usb to computer (During this process your PC will show unknown device so in order to install device drives download xolo drivers and choose to select the inf file and it will get installed).Remove USB once and ensure download is clicked prior and then usb cable is inserted to PC.
8) The process will begin and a green circle saying ok will be displayed and thus the flashing is successful.
9) Now disconnect the device and put in battery and hold power and volume up key to sucesfully boot into CWM and there by unbrick your device...
10) Then you can install any custom rom created by other developers.
Note: If you wish to load complete stock rom for Xolo A500s download the stock rom from the links ABTri has posted in his forum and replace the preloader.bin with the attached one. This will restore your ROM to factory default with stock recovery.
To begin with i present you the stock deodexed cwm rom for our own Xolo A500s phone.
Steps:
1) Root your phone with framaroot (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2293503&d=1380569629)
2) Install MTKdroidTools 2.4.8 from here (http://dfiles.eu/files/fmnok7ke7)
Download and run the MTKdroidTools.exe (Note enable usb debugging on your phone and grant root access from the mtkdroid app to access your phone)
Then backup your existing rom by clicking on root ,backup, recovery tab and backup. this will back up your entire stock rom in case you want to revert.
3) For CWM install click on Recovery and boot and choose the option "To choose the boot.img file" and then select your stock boot.img file which u backed up. Next it will patch it with CWM autoinstaller just click yes and ok and the device will reboot. Woola you now have a working CWM to proceed.
Steps to install the deodexed rom
1) Boot into CWM recovery and download the stock deodex rom from here (http://www.toobigtosend.net/download/279913c4-3bd3-11e3-a7f9-005056ac53f8/)
2) Copy the downloaded rom to the sd card--> clockwordmod -> backup folder
3) Say restore and navigate to the cwmbackup folder and select it
4) Clear Dalvik cache and cache partition
Thats its reboot and you are on deodexed rom..
More download links will be available shortly Stay tuned..

Do not install the hangout from playstore as it may crash since the framework is updated to support 4.4.I will post the updated hangout app for leaked 4.4
How to install
1) Root your phone as mentioned above and have CWM installed
2) Copy the rom in \sdcard and then clear/wipe data cache and dalvik cache. Format system also
3) Go to mounts and storage and ensure to see /system is mounted (unmount system is what we want to see on cwm menu)
4) Select install from sdcard and navigate through the zip and install it.
First boot may take some time to install and thats it the rom is up.
