Radio ROM: 2424.11.6.1 - Omnia 7 Windows Phone 7 Development

Hi,
Samsung just released radio ROM 2424.11.6.1
Which is supposed to fix the issues some of us have with various operators, i.e "robot sound" when talking to people, disconnecting, data network issues etc.
Does anyone have the files for this radio ROM that could share it?
Would appreciate it!!

thanks, but that didnt help much now did it.
Got a link to where I can find it?

ROM
Nowhere is

thx can you tell me where you saw that? link????

Is that new radio version (2424.11.6.1) part of the new leaked I8700XXKD1 firmware? The new firmware is not flashable to retail devices, but is it the case for the binary ''.bin'' that contains the radio? I'll try it and get back to you.
Flashing a .bin does not wipe your data, is it?

As far as I know then nope. It should not wipe your data. But don't take my word on it .
And yep, even the radio (PHONE) contains WP7_ENGINEER .

Now I can confirm it. Flashed both EBOOT and PHONE without getting my device wiped.
Now I have Radio software 2424.11.2.2 and bootloader 5.3.0.4 (from KC1 ROM), but still no update in Zune for drivers (firmware revision 2424.10.12.3).

so, did the new radio software fix the disconnection and data connection issues? Then I really should consider updating...

I just updated to 2424.11.2.2 (just made a JIG today).
Solved so many of my problems. Before I had to restart to enable/disable my data connection, and had to disable data in order to send SMS.
Now it's perfect I very rarely had problems with the robot sound. Maybe twice since I bought this phone.

I'm guessing this new radio will be a part of the new Mango update imo

Where is the download link?

Nowhere. Appears that 2424.11.6.1 is vaporware. Sadly.

damn it, no one can extract it? I really need that radio ROM.

2424.11.2.2 works great with firmware 2424.11.3.1, try that first.

U sure there wouldn't be any problems with combining the new radio with the antique rest of the ROM?

Works just fine here with me.

So ballajalla have you tried flashing only the ''.bin.'' file from the leaked Engineer I8700XXKH2 Rom? Does that update both the radio and the drivers/firmware??
Did you flash the ''.eb0'', which is the bootloader? You shouldn't do (you or anyone) according to the guys (@SFUnlock) that leaked the modified flashing utility.

[Q] Just bought a captivate, No Signal is displayed and baseband version is "unknown"
Please, I need your help, I just bought a Captivate for my GF, we live in Honduras, Central America and the phone was supposedly sent unlocked, she inserted the sim card and the phone did not asked for any code, but, it has no signal, it is currently displaying "no Service", and when she goes to look at her baseband version, It displays "unknown"!
It has a crappy ICS rom, since Im an Nexus one owner I dont know a thing about this phone version!
Can you PLEASE! help me?
Can I just flash a CM nightlie over this ****ty ICS rom?
Do I have to upgrade or downgrade anything else?
Please, any help is welcome!
I assume you probably have, but are the APN settings correct?
You can probably flash a CM7 nightly over it. Worst case, it doesn't work and you have to flash back to stock first and try again.
It sounds like you don't have a working modem. If flashing CM7 doesn't fix it, flash a CM7-compatible modem and see if that fixes it.

Lolz good advice...just in the wrong order...
I would flash the modem first....cause it is the least invasive (doesn't wipe anything) and most likely will work.
Roms contain modems, so if fishing as ROM didn't fix it fishing a modem after that is just spinning your wheels.
BUT, since op doesn't even like the ROM...just flash to kk4 stock.
I would also make door that the phone is actually unlocked...but aosp doesn't have the same dialer codes to just dial and check, and i don't know those.

I agree that it is less invasive, but he already said he wanted to go to CM7 so I figured he could skip a step if the flash actually worked. He bought the phone this way so who knows what the previous owner did to it. Both ways should fix his issue though (unless his phone is locked, as you pointed out).
If you flash to the most recent nightly or a kang, the Samsung dialer codes work to check your lock status.

So, thank you guys for helping me, heres what I did:
A friend told me that since I had ICS on it, I had to flash a compatible modem on it, I flashed I9000BVJJPD which is used on cm9.
When it turned on, It asked for an unlock pin, I tried to generate it with the SGSunlock app but didnt worked, so I downgrade it to cm7 (2.3.7) and tried again but with no success...
Tomorrow morning Ill take it to an unlock shop so it can be unlocked (hopefully).
Does the modem that I flashed is the correct one for a network that uses 850 bands?
I heard that some captatives erased the imei causing the "unknown baseband" issue, I dialed *#06# and it retrieved the imei code so, it isnt ****ed right?
any help is welcome, Ill let you guys know how it goes.
thanks!

No such thing..every phone acts differently, not to mention the signal at your location is a huge variable we can't factor in.

I know, but, for example, developers say that the lastest is the best, but, you only can say if you test them...
But, have you test some of them? Which gave you the best result?
I always include jk4 in my roms as a good standard.

I understand your dilemma. You look at a list of 50 modems and go, "Where do I even start?"
Personally, I have tried lots of different modems, old and new, and I always come back to KP1. I think it's worth adding to your list of modems to try out. I would also try JJJV5 and KG3.

Hello guys!
I am facing the exact problem. I also accidentally selected USA Band in Phone info menu and now not getting network bars anymore. I tried factory resetting but no luck. I am using this Motorola Atrix HD phone in India (SIM unlocked) and its rooted but Bootloader is locked. Its running on Stock JB 4.1.1
As suggested by some folks here to flash Modem or flash Stock ROM via RSD lite, I couldn't find the Stock 4.1.1 or Modem to download. Please help me fix the phone.
Thanks in advance!

Did you try flashing MB886_att-user-4.1.1-9.8.0Q-97_MB886_FFW-20-27-release-keys-ATT-US_BuildA.xml.zip via RSD Lite? Hopefully it should fix the issue. I tried to download this Stock AT&T ROM but every time I have broken file error.

[HELP] Need LG Optimus 4X new baseband(v20c october 2014)

hello all. my phone shows "reorganizing internal processes" whenever i try to make a call. bcoz of this it is unusable as a phone.
also imei is null, baseband is unknown and cellular is in NO SERVICE.
nothing works: tried reboot,
other roms (cm 11, zaiben, mahdi etc..),GetRIL app...
also i tried to flash latest v20c but it always stuck at 10%..
but i can flash anything from cwm(philz touch)
so can anyone please help me with the so said baseband in cwm flashable format or a cwm backup of latest v20c update?
i'll be grateful to anyone who looks into this issue.
thanks in advance.:good::good:
Hi,

You will not find ant flashable format for cwm... I think, did you try to flash v20b? Only way to change you baseband is to flash firmware.
i"ll try upload you stock partitions to flash ***when i find some free time***

What about LG Mobile support tool? Connect phone via USB and wait for the tool recognizing it. In the menu you can "reset upgrade errors", the tool downloads latest version for your phone automatically and flashes itself.
Yeah, the 4X is nearly unbrickable. Even when nothing works, LG Mobile support tool can get it back with a stock rom.
I am in Portugal and have the same problem. I read in a different thread that the problem of "reorganizing internal processes" is in fact a crash of the phone/radio process, due to hardware bug that stucks when both voice and data communications are requested at the same time in a 3G network. I'm not sure if even V20C can correct the problem. One solution is to switch to 2G in general, (EDGE data speeds... )and you won't have problems, When needing for a particular download, switch temporarly to 3G.
But if anyone have a 3G stable solution, please share as I am also highly interested!
I tried stock JB. In custom CM roms, for instance 4.4.4 (is what I have now), you won't have a "reorganizing..." message, but you will loose completely mobile communications when the problem occurs, and only a phone reboot will recover it

[Q] No call sound after back to stock

Hi guys,
I know there are many similiar threads to this one and I'm sure I've read most of them. Either my issue is different, or, if the answer was in one of them, I was too stupid to realize it.
With my S4 Active GT-I9295 I had to go back to stock ROM for the Samsung S-Health and Gear related apps.
I came from spegelius' (absolutely awesome) Google Edition for SGS4A (int'l) v0.9.9.-od2 and flashed the Samsung Stock 4.4.2 with Odin (*). The procedure was: Flash -> Factory Reset -> Flash again to be absolutely sure all files are updated. Currently, I rooted the phone.
My problem persists:
After a reboot I (usually; not always) am able to make normal phone calls.
After some time (sometimes minutes, sometimes hours) I no longer have sound.
I do not hear ringing, the callee can't hear me, I can't hear the callee.
Same problem if I'm being called
Establishing a connection though works always.
Mobile Data is not affected.
WiFi works
Also observed after factory reset -> re-flash, only enter WiFi PW and Google Login Data -> try phone call
I know this problem often arises from a baseband/modem mismatch. So I investigated my CWM backup of the pre-installed 4.2.2 ROM.
That's what was pre-installed:
Bootloader: I9295XXUBMK3
CSC: I9295OXXBMK3
Modem: *I did not find the info in my backup*
This corresponds to the Romanian 4.2.2: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/22586/I9295XXUBMK3_I9295OXXBMK3_ROM.zip/
That's why I flashed the direct successor http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/37083/I9295XXUCNI1_I9295OXXCNI1_ROM.zip/
PDA: I9295XXUCNI1
CSC: I9295OXXCNI1
MODEM: I9295XXUCNI1
I tried everything I could find online, nothing helped. I am really running out of ideas. Is it possible to go back to 4.2.2 to see if the problem persists?
I do have logcat logs of the radio module before and after the problem occured. But its thousands of lines. If it helps I can upload it!
Thank you guys for your help
(*): I did some intermediate flashing of several other firmware versions (especially different baseband / CSC versions of the same 4.4.2). But I assume this does not affect the result. I used Odin v3.07 & v3.09
Edit: PS: I still think that I might have the wrong CSC Version. I know the 4.2.2 PDA/CSC matches, but I am not from Romania. I'm actually from Germany. And what makes me wonder is that I cannot select the German Keyboard Style without downloading it first. I can't remember doing something similar after unboxing the phone and setting it up for the first time.

Yes, I was aware of that thread. However, I never made it until here

Although I did the things basically as described in that posts I have a new question:
Which country is relevant for the search on sammobile? I mean, do they ask me "Where do you live" or "For which country was your device produced?".
Edit: Okay actually they ask me for the 'product code', so it's probably the latter question.
I realized that my 4.2.2 PDA and CSC also match the French version. That would match the language of my original packaging. I already flashed the French 4.4.2 once but heard only noise when calling someone. So I gave up on that one quickly. But I'll give it another shot now.
Is it possible that I had a factory installation of the firmware for country A, and when I first registered with my local carrier I received a modem update OTA for country B?
That would really surprise me. But it could explain my issues, since there is no 4.4.2 for o2 Germany, i.e. I probably wouldn't receive another modem update OTA.
(I never looked into the carrier specific firmwares because I figured they are for sim-locked devices.)
If the above is true, I understand that the only option would be to somehow downgrade my device back to 4.2.2.
I know I'm asking a lot of questions that have been asked and answered elsewhere. But by now I tried so much and nothing worked that I'm really confused and need your guidance.
I know I type too much, so a short summary.
Everything I tried so far didn't help, the stock ROM from sammobile.com doesn't help, currently I'm on 4.4.2 XEF (France)
I'm 80% sure I have the firmware for the correct country
From factory-side I definitely had an XX PDA and OXX CSC, so shouldn't all XX/OXX versions work, even if not the exact country?
What should I try next?
Is there a way to uniquely identify the country code from a backup of the /system or /data parition?

I am not sure if you have done this, but one thing I always recommend is a phone factory reset from settings (not CWM/TWRP) when you are on stock firmware as this is known to correct a lot of issues caused mainly due to faulty partition / corruption. However beware of the fact that this will wipe your internal SD card therefore back it up before you do that.
If you have flashed the correct firmware for your country & carrier (if it has a separate one) where you are using the phone, and done the above then I do no see any other issue than a faulty IC that requires replacement

Now that really helps me! Thanks. BUT: There is a seperate firmware for my carrier. However, I did not purchase the phone from that carrier. That's why I never tested the carrier specific firmware. Moreover, there is only the old 4.2.2 available, so I can't test it, since I cannot downgrade.

Tried it and it didn't work; completely crashed my Phone Application. It rang on the other side, but no conversation was possible. Is this because of the bootloader / modem mismatch?
Does anyone have instructions to safely downgrade to 4.2.2 again? Should I open another thread for this discussion?

Identify the bootloader version and Knox state:

Knox is not a counter - it's a like a fuse.
Hi O-T,
the bootloader is I9295XXUBMK3 and it does not yet have the warranty bit which I assume you mean by KNOX state.
Are there maybe any new ideas?

There's 3 stock 4.2.2 TW ROM I9295XXUBMK3 to choose for flash by Odin. All have different Germany CSC (Carrier Specific Code) - Generic, O2, T-Mobile. PDA=MODEM=I9295XXUBMK3 for all of them. Not sure if O2 or T-Mobile versions are locked, but they usually have operators bloat apps.
Remember to power OFF before entering download mode, flash ROM in Odin, factory reset.

https://www.samdownloads.de/download/i9295xxubmk3-via-4-2-2-germany-o2/
https://www.samdownloads.de/download/i9295xxubmk3-dtm-4-2-2-germany-t-mobile/
Your choice.
O-T I'm so sorry. My post from yesterday was a lie; I can't read my own OP. :crying:
I9295XXUBMK3 was preinstalled
Now I'm on I9295XXUCNH2, which implies 4.4.2 and makes a downgrade to 4.2.2 impossible (afaik).
Please note that I already tried the generic German (4.4.2) firmware. I never had operater bloat apps and I bought a simlock-free version of the device. Thus I never tested the o2 / T-Mobile ones. (I did, however, once flash the o2 modem over the generic 4.4.2, which turned out to be a bad idea).
I would love to extract the modem info from my CWM backup. The bootloader / CSC strongly suggest I have a French phone, but the modem would ultimately clarify that.
What is your opinion on trying a different custom-ROM? I never built one so I have no idea from where designers obtain their NON-HLOS and modem files. I know many don't come with any of those and require an already working ROM before flashing so these drivers can be kept. On the other hand, Darkman's StockyROM has an additional modem pack.... which, in my case, didn't help.
I simply cannot believe that it's a hardware issue. Everything worked fine until the update to 4.4.2 and new radio drivers should be thoroughly tested before distribution.

Please .. Need Help To Recovery EFS files for Note 5 (N920C)

Flashing an official ROM should not mess with your EFS. What do you mean you lost your GSM network? Have you checked your APN?

The ROM I was using was flashing with cloned IMEI after flashing my N920C with fresh version of official ROM the GSM network is gone and when I install my Sim Card it is shows only "emergency call". I checked while the IMEI is gone or not and saw it is still there. I need a solution for activate GSM network and see GSM signal. Some of my friends said that my ./efs file is corrupted so I need patched ROM that can fix my ./efs file automatically after flashing. Is there any why to recover it ?

I understand your situation now. As far as I know there is not a way to recover your EFS. I could be wrong. I have heard of others getting their EFS back after flashing official firmware. You may be out of pocket on a repair. Good luck to you.

I am sure Samsung can fix it. You will have to pay though. You could also try searching for efs recovery because you might get lucky. I do not know a whole lot about it but from what I have seen, if flashing official firmware does not fix it you are out of luck. I am not sure about future releases of ROMs that may fix it.

Thanks for your replay. I fixed my phone and its working now. I did these steps:
1- Untar the official ROM.
2- Delete Modem file from the rom.
3- Re-tar the ROM.
4- Flashing using Odin.
5- Fixing EFS by repairing it using z3x box.
Thanks again :fingers-crossed:
