this battery is only a bit thicker than the original, you cant really notice the difference, but the original cover wont fit

The original cover will in fact fit as I am using it right now - its snug but it works

Keep in mind batteries doe expand as they get heated up, and by using the standard cover it could cause issues down the road.

Why not just use the extended cover if it comes with it...? Lol apparently it doesn't make it much thicker

Just got my d3 and the car mount and the thing works very nice, good fit and good quality.

Is there a promo code or anything for the extended battery that anyone knows of?

Here's what I don't understand:
1. Number one complaint about smartphones is bad battery life.
2. Moto can fit a 150% larger battery in effectively the same physical space.
3. Moto can sell this battery for only $10 more than the normal battery.
Why is this not a standard component?

Moto OEM standard home and car dock with battery charger

I have the Moto OEM standard dock, complete car dock, and battery charger with additional battery to sell. I got them as part of the Costco deal when the Bionic first came out and have not used either of the docks. I used the battery charger and extra battery one or two times to charge the battery around 70% to store it until I wanted to use it. I also have 2 leather belt clip cases and a screen protector that came with the package. Both my Bionics have the Seidio case on them so they won't fit the docks even if I cared to use them.
A quick look on Amazon makes me think I should ask around $130 for all the items (+ shipping depending on the area). Respond here or PM me. I will sell to the first person that wants all items or break them up if I can sell most of them individually.

Extended battery for european users

Hello guys, i've noticed that famous extended batteries for n7100 like anker, hiperion, zerolemon and seidio are not shipped in europe (except mugen that is not really cheap). What about something good for us in europe? I don't want anything like battery sold on ebay with no name.
Thank's in advance.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
I'm having the same issue, it's hard to find extended batteries in Europe.
I could come up with 3 options, but all with their own rather big downside.
qmust 6400mAh: best price/performance ratio, but no reviews and it comes with a humpback cover (normal thickness near the camera, twice as thick around the battery)
price: approximately €30
colors: black
qmust 4100mAh flip cover: offers protection, and no need to remove the stock battery, but because it's an external battery that is constantly attached it can wear out your usb port, you need to remember to turn it on, and the flap can get in the way.
it probably also doesn't work with mhl or otg connectors, and may even have problems with usb data connections.
it does have a convenient little kickstand.
price: approximately €35
colors: dark grey
mugen 6400mAh: expensive, but the cover has a natural shape (same width across the entire device), I have good experience with previous batteries of this brand, it has a kickstand, color choice, and comes with a leather case/pouch.
price: approximately €75 from manufacturer but risking additional fees that can drive the price up to more than €100, or €90 bought locally.
colors: dark grey, white.

[Review] ZeroLemon 3500mah Battery Case

I've been using this ZeroLemon battery case on and off for my Galaxy S6 Edge in the past couple of months since May and I have to say that I like it a lot!! I've been a fan of ZeroLemon since 2013 when I began using their products for my Galaxy S4 (3000mah & 7500mah batteries) and this product has lived up to my expectations.
This product consists of 3 main parts - the 3500mah extra battery, a little bridge connector that connects the 3500mah battery to the micro USB port on the bottom of the phone, and a TPU case. Here is a picture of what they look like:
It is very simple and easy to put together the package. You first connect one side of the little bridge connector to your phone and connect the other side of the bridge connector to the battery. You then insert the phone and the battery together into the TPU case.
Once everything has been put together, it looks like this:
Putting on the battery case makes the package as tall as a Galaxy Note 4 and about double the Note 4's thickness.
I expected the phone to become super heavy but I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too bad. My old Galaxy S4 with its 7500mah extended battery was heavy. This 3500mah ZL battery case is not bad at all. Despite the tallness and thickness, I am still able to use the phone easily with one hand, which is very important for me. The phone is still comfortable to hold and use.
One thing that struck me was the improvement in the quality of the TPU case ZeroLemon used for this product compared to its older TPU products. The feel is way better as the TPU material is now more solid-feeling with a nice texture to it. The older ZL TPU case material felt spongy and cheap in comparison. Kudos to ZL for improving their TPU case material and quality.
Fitment of the TPU case is very good as well. There are no glaring gaps anywhere and the phone is secured snugly with no nervous looseness or movements.
The main star of this kit, of course, is that extra 3500mah battery and it performs very well. My wife and I went far away from home yesterday to do some outlet shopping and I knew I would probably run out of juice during the trip with all the GPS & data usage. About the middle of the day, my phone battery was down to about 30%. So I activated the ZL 3500mah battery by holding down the Power Button on the back of the case and the phone began charging itself right away. About 1 & 15 mins later, the phone was fully charged back to 100%. Nice~! To turn off the charging function, I pressed down on the Power Button again. Very simple.
There are 4 indicators on the back of the case that lets you know how much charge you have left in the 3500mah battery. After that charging session from 30% to 100%, I had 2 bars left which was what I had expected.
So how do you charge the ZL battery pack? You connect your phone charger cable to the microUSB charging receptacle on the lower-left side of the battery case. I noticed that the ZL 3500mah battery gets charged first, followed by the internal OEM battery. After plugging the charger in at night and looking at the phone in the morning, both the ZL battery & OEM battery were fully charged to 100%.
To sum things up, I'm very happy with this ZeroLemon battery case. It is easy to set up, easy to hold and use, and the important battery extension capability just works as advertised.
++ Pros ++
-3500mah backup battery capacity!!
-Easy setup and comfortable to use.
-Good quality TPU case.
-Battery charges fast for not being a FastCharge type.
-The raised lip of the TPU case allows the phone to be placed face-down.
-The case routes the sound to the front so the phone with the case on becomes front-facing rather than down-facing.
++ Cons ++
-A bit difficult to slide the phone inside the case if you have a screen protector on the phone and don't want it to get wrinkled up. It's possible to not mess up the screen protector but takes some effort.
-At maximum volume level, the audio sounds a bit hollowed out and distorted. If one lowers the volume a couple notches, distortion goes away but still not as clear-sounding as having no case on.
I would definitely recommend this battery case to any S6 Edge user who doesn't mind the extra bulk of the case, doesn't want to carry around a power bank, and want some peace of mind knowing that their Edge will easily last the whole day and more. :good:
I've heard about Zerolemon that their batteries are powerful. Maybe I'll give it a shot.

[REVIEW] CHOETECH Qi charger and Circle Case w/NFC & Qi

So I was sent The CHOETECH Iron Stand Qi Wireless Charging Pad and the CHOETECH LG G4 Quick Circle Case in White for Review.
http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Charger-CHOETECH-Charging-Adapter/dp/B010B6PSMC/ref=sr_1_6
http://www.amazon.com/CHOETECH-Wireless-Charger-Charging-Receiver/dp/B011DTIWB0/ref=sr_1_3
Ampere reports it is charging at about 670mA. My keweisi USB detector says it is drawing 4.82volts and 1.31A
The wake/sleep feature works really well and consistently.
It was as simple as removing my old back and snapping this one in.
It fits like stock battery back cover with a flip over flap to protect the face, nice sturdy quality It detects when closed, activating a circle clock, that you can tap to activate other apps to display within the circle and still allowing you to use the phone while closed.
The 3 coil Qi charging stand makes it easy to place, no fiddling for that sweet spot. Can place it up right on laying on its side. Great to use as a dock while watching videos or a a night stand alarm clock.
I should have that quick circle case on the way to review as well. Mind if I just attach my review here when I get mine in and write my review for it?
I would have loved to get that charger! I've been thinking about getting a dock wireless charger. I'm currently using just a flat wireless charging pad from Choetech. It works good, but it's a hassle to make sure my Nexus 7 is aligned currently.

Clockcycle,
Are you still using the "stand" charger? Are you using it with the Artech case you reviewed earlier?
This seems to be something I would be very interested in to simply place my LG G4 on the stand and walk away. If you have tested it with anything other than your Clock case can you elaborate on just how it is doing for you?
Cheers,
Mike
Can you just remove the front circle cover and just use the back cover with the Qi and NFC? Is it easily removable or do you have to cut off the front cover?
Thanks for sharing. Just going to try this one.

You might be able to yank it out or you may need to cut it. It's not a bad idea, either, if you want a slim, snap on case that's wireless charging compatible and you don't want to go the route of manually installing a sticker.
I'll have my review posted for this case either tonight or tomorrow. I've been using it for a week and I finally have some time to sit down with.
Long story short, it's a good case more than worth the price, though the actual functionality of circle view leaves a lot to be desired.

My full review:
Ever since the LG G3 released in 2014 and LG introduced the concept of cases that replaced the standard battery door cover and snapped on in its place, I thought the possibilities would be endless. Sadly, all but the G3 Quick Circle case were limited only to overseas retailers and no third party case maker thought to jump on this idea. With the release of the LG G4, LG reintroduced their Quick Circle case only which was unfortunate since the G3 had other replacement back cases that offered either better grip or more protection while still being a wireless charging option for those who did not want a folio case.
Since the launch of the LG G4, wireless charging has essentially not been an option for the average consumer unless they wanted to pay $60 for the official Quick Circle case (compared to $16 for this CHOETECH knock off which was only recently released). The only option for those of us who wanted wireless charging and actually knew that we had other options was to deal with the headache of tracking down a seller who sold a wireless NCF/Qi sticker and installing it ourselves, with many users reporting just as many failures as successes. Sadly, LG just does a poor job of actually supporting their phones once they're out of the door.
Wireless charging aside, there's not even many quality options for an affordable, quality Quick Circle case and none other that I've seen that actually replace the battery door cover rather than just snapping onto your phone like a standard phone case and adding extra bulk. Out of nowhere, here comes CHOETECH giving consumers an option for wireless charging and a quick circle case in the style of LG's official version. Not only that, maybe there's also hope that we'll see other styles of non-folio, wireless charging cases that similarly replace the battery door cover (fingers crossed).
I don't have an official LG Quick Circle case to compare this one to, but, from comparing photos, it looks exactly the the official case minus the LG branding. I received the black case for my review and, despite it being listed as "black," this case is a gray color. In fact, it's the same exact gray as the standard "Metallic Gray" back that you can purchase the G4 in. They both have the same diamond pattern back, but it's definitely more pronounced with this case. While it's a very subtle feeling with the standard back cover, you can actually easily feel the diamond patterned back on this case and it's actually a kind of cool feeling. Furthermore, I feel like this case is less slippery than the standard back plate, though my girlfriend disagrees with me on that point. The texture of the screen cover has a nice, soft fabric feel to it.
The case fits great. You snap your phone into it just as if you were snapping on your standard back plate so it's minimal bulk. I'd say it offers just as much protection as those slim, plastic cases that you can purchase. That is, it protects the corners of your phone, though the top and bottom remained a bit exposed. In addition to that protection, your screen also has a cover to protect it from scratches except for the open circle. No ports are blocked and there are cutouts for both the LED indicator and front speaker so that you can take calls without opening the cover.
In short, it's a near perfect folio case, though I would have preferred true black to be a color option along with other color choices and maybe even leather varieties.
My main gripe with this case is that there is no real way to keep the cover closed. I wish it had some sort of magnetic clamp to keep it closed. When you first get the case, the flap connecting the cover to the base of the case is a bit rigid so the cover will not stay closed flat on the screen without some effort on your part, though, after using it for a while, it becomes less of a nuisance. Still, I would have liked to see some sort of way to keep the cover clasped shut without any thought or effort.
My only other gripes are with the functionality of the quick circle view and its compatible apps and that's no fault of the case. I basically only use the open circle view for viewing the time so I wouldn't mind seeing a variant of this case without the circle opening since it's usually more convenient to just look at your full screen anyway.
I would definitely recommend this case, but not for everybody. If you don't like folio cases, then obviously this isn't the case for you. However, if you're just looking for a way to get wireless charging onto your phone and you really don't like folio cases, you could always pull off or cut the flap that holds the screen cover to your case and just discard it so long as you don't mind that the case is no longer symmetrical. To anyone else that genuinely likes folio cases, is genuinely interested in the circle view function, and would also like to have wireless charging on their phone, then I think you should at least give this case a try. It's cheap and it feels great without adding extra bulk to your phone.
Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
I bought this case and stand for my lg g4 a month ago and it works perfectly to charger the phone, when my battery is at 100% the charger enters standby mode. And this is where the problem starts for me; the charger will not start again when I need to charge my LG G4.
I need to reconnect the power source for the charger and than it works again, hence the reason for a qi charger is lost.
Do you experience the same problem with the choetech standing qi charger?
I've been in contact with choetech and recived a new case, but its still the same problem. They will send a replacement chargee, but I figure I ask here first if you experienced the same problem.

Review: Zerolemon 5500mah Note 8 Battery Case

First, I did receive a review sample from ZeroLemon.
If you're looking for a slim solution, this is NOT your choice, if you're looking for massive amounts of additional power on the go without having to carry a cable and external battery, then this IS your solution.
As I'm sure everyone will mention, it's LARGE. Until battery tech gets smaller, you gotta cram that battery somewhere. It's pretty hefty as well. If you wanted with this battery pack, you could outlast everyone around you in a marathon Pokemon Go session, long flights of movies won't be a problem. It's not going to provide any screen protection if dropped, but it might give you some arm workouts as you use the phone.
It's brainless to use. Plug your Note 8 into the battery case. All the button passthru's worked fine and aligned up. You are still "capable" of using the fingerprint reader, expect a bit more "reach" to get there. The case itself doesn't block the camera at all. No ghosting of the case in your photos.
If I were designing this, I would have added a flipout kickstand so you could just sit and watch movies without having to hold the bulk.
Product Packaging:
Packaging is quite simple, it’s a white ziplock bag and a brown cardboard box. There isn’t much in terms of instructions, just a small flip out pamphlet that instructs you on how to plug in the battery and case.
The battery attaches to the Note 8 via the USB-C port on the phone. The battery attachment also charges through a USB-C female port, so there is no need to change chargers or cables that you are already using with the phone.
Battery Usage:
I charged the case for approximately 12 hours before initial use – as instructed on the white ziplock bag that it all comes in.
The battery/case:
It’s a simple TPU case. It has a matte texture that feels good in the hands and prevents slippage.
After testing the battery case with the camera flash, I found no issues.
There is no need to remove the phone from the attachment in order to transfer files to your computer – something that is not possible with another extended battery case I tried using prior to this one.
Charging:
The battery itself does not support fast charging from the battery to the Note 8, but it does allow for pass through quick charging of your phone if you connect the battery case to your Samsung fast charger.
Pros:
Good extended capacity
Power on/off button
Solid construction of battery and case
Pass-through quick charging
Data transfer pass-through
Worked first time. Living up to name ZeroLemon.
Case itself is grippy and comfortable
Cons:
No NFC
No QI charging
Recessed fingerprint reader
Noticeable increase in weight and thickness of the phone
Needs a flip out kickstand.
Interestingly, if you try to go to the product page its a page saying "Oops - We couldn't find that one"

Interesting that they make two of them now. I wonder how much thinner the 5500 will be compared to the 10000 one.
I saw that 5500 version a few weeks ago before the 10,000 mah one was listed and didn't like the way it looked. The 10,000mah one looks decent, I need to know if it will work with the Whitestone Dome though.
When you are charging this, does the phone and the case get charged in parallel? Or the phone first, then the case etc.
Also how long does it take to charge the case itself, with the phone in it?
Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
I like mine. It's a little smaller and the case is refreshed from older models I've used from ZL

Well I went thru 2 10000 cases in 1 week and both failed. Then I bought this slim one. Worked great for 2 charges and then would not take charge from factory charger. Will only charge from pc. Contacted zerolemon and was told must be defective cable. Lol. Yet charges my phone properly. Zerolemon is garbage and I recommend everyone to stay away from it. Last 2 phones product has gone to worthless in less then 2 weeks.
All their 5500 seems to be is a rebranded knockoff of the ebay versions for about $20 more. The 10 000 version looks like there's. Bottom line, like the OP said. It's heavy, no wireless charging, no magnet, no nfc. Those three are a killer, I regret not waiting for mophie's more expensive alternative.
The Mophie one is only 2950mAh and can only charge the phone 50% of juice.

It should be smaller in size than zerolemon as it has smaller capacity, I think.
