i apply the wrong boot image instead i use a nexus S and my nexus one is stuck forever... -_-..
i tried to recovery on flash boot recovery but the screen also stuck...

Why not just start over if you are that stuck, passimg to stock. Or fastboot flash the img.
Passimg back to stock then seeing as you were trying to use this I'm going to suppose you already have an unlocked bootloader so just flash a custom recovery then flash su from recovery all the files you need are in my sig.

I have a Nexus One phone which was on Vodafone 2.2. I changed it to 2.1 stock, 2.2 and then google updated it to 2.3.4. Next I unlocked the bootloader and flashed it with Amon Ra 2.2.1 cm passion recovery. Then I installed CM7 stable version, and flashed radio to 5.08.00.04. Everything was working fine until the phone started to reboot after 5 minutes of running any app. I pulled out the battery and now it's stuck on colored X. I can access the pwr/trackball but then if go to recovery it goes back to the X.
What should I do?

I used Amon RA
And it still is stuck on X.

Since you've tried Amon, why not give Clockwork a shot (2.5.1.4)?
I've also found that when you're struggling to get a custom recovery to stick, it sometimes helps to flash a stock recovery and then try again...
Now before I screw up my phone, I would like to know if it is possible to switch to ICS from a custom ROM. I just want to try it out, I'm currently on Bananacakes Holiraider. I have the US version of HTC Vivid if that helps. And if it is possible, how to do it.
Short answer yes you can. Many have done it successfully, including myself. You have to relock your bootloader to be able to install the RUU. Don't do it if you're on any other carrier but ATT.
Ah ok thanks, so just to be sure, and I'm aware I may sound like a pain the assholes, I have AT&T Vivid so I'm good, all I need to do is just relock my bootloader. Then download the RUU from a thread I saw earlier. Is it still possible to root on ICS?
Yes, I'm rooted with ICS. Since the rooted rom's have been removed from here you may have to get on Wildchilds site to get a rooted ICS rom. He has step by step instructions on how to flash it without issues. Essentially after the RUU install, you'll need to unlock the bootloader, flash recovery, flash boot.img, and flash the rom. You may be able to find PG's rom elsewhere on the internet but I don't know if everything he's done is offline. Hope this helps.

You can skip downloading the RUU if you want. If you're going with WC's ROM, he has a PH39IMG.zip packaged in it that contains the new HBoot. So basically you'll relock the bootloader, flash PH39IMG.zip in bootloader TWICE, unlock bootloader, fastboot flash boot.img and wcxrecovery.img, boot to recovery, flash ROM and you'll end up with WC's rooted ICS (more detailed instructions in his .zip)

Not quite. Ph flashes automatically in bootloader..TWICE. then you have to get it off of your sd, boot to hboot again, but this time choose fastboot. Plug in USB. Unlock. Fastboot flash boot boot.IMG. fastboot flash recovery wcxrecovery.IMG. back to bootloader. Choose recovery. Flash Rom from recovery

Ok I got you on everything except the fastboot flashing boot.IMGs. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience but I just don't want to rage over a bricked phone. I was able to install custom roms and stuff, but I don't recall flashing from fastboot... Thank you again so much.

Since we don't have S-Off, there a certain partitions that recovery can't write to (like the boot partition and recovery partition). Since this is the case, we have to flash custom recoveries and boot.img (which include the kernel) with fastboot. There is a GUI floating around that should flash boot.img as well, but it's not difficult to do with fastboot (I've never used the GUI so I can't speak first hand about it's effectiveness). In the ROM's .zip, you'll find boot.img. You need to extract this to the same location you have fastboot installed (in the sdk, it's in /platform-tools/). Once you have the boot.img in this directory, you need to navigate here in a command prompt. The easiest way to do this is to Shift+Click in this directory, and choose "Open command window here" Now you need to boot your phone to bootloader (power down, hold PWR+Vol- until hboot starts). Select Fastboot. Now plug your phone in and it will change to Fastboot USB. Enter the following command in the command prompt window:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
(Note: you can also flash a custom recovery here by issuing the following command, with the recovery.img in the fastboot directory
fastboot flash recovery nameofrecovery.img)
Press Enter. You will see it send, then write, then finish. Now on your phone select bootloader, then recovery. Now wipe data, cache, and Dalvik cache, then flash ROM
I was running ARHD 10.1 and flashed TeamSeven's kernel in Clockwork Recovery. Went to reboot and the phone just boot loops, no big deal right. So when I put the phone back into bootloader screen and tried to boot into recovery it boots for about .50 seconds into my custom recovery then boots back to the Fastboot HTC Screen. Im unable to get into my custom recovery. Ive tried using the All in one tool to flash different recoverys and have been successful in doing so, I know this because they boot for the .50 seconds into TWRP or Clockwork then goes back into the HTC Fastboot screen. Does anybody have any ideas? How can I fix this? I tried to sideload a rom but it seems it will not let me until im able to get into my custom recovery.
Have you used ADB to delete cache, Then re-flash a recovery ? Then full wipe etc and clean install a Rom ?

type fastboot erase cache from PC while phone is in fastboot. you should be able to get into recovery afterwards. If not, flash another recovery from fastboot. fastboot flash recovery RECOVERYNAME.img
I was having issues and wanted to switch to the systemless SU so I decided to start over fresh. used toolkit to restore stock image and unrooted. tried to install newest twrp using toolkit but it kept coming up with bugdroid with red triangle and exclamation mark. Did some research and few places said you have to go back to lp. so I downloaded factory image and went back to lp unrooted and locked bootloader. unlocked, rooted and installed twrp everything was good. I extracted the newest 6.0.1 factory image and installed each component separately except for the recovery. now I am on 6.0.1 and try to go to recovery and bugdroid with red triangle and using toolkit I cannot get the newest twrp to stick. my sdk is updated.
any ideas on what to do?

Never trust a recovery installed by a tool kit. Grab the recovery img from the site and flash it manually.
all i have now is stock recovery. whats the best way to manually install twrp
go into fastboot and flash it. you have to be in your bootloader to flash via fastboot. you put the file in the same window as your fastboot program, then type.. fastboot flash recovery recoveryname.img, and that will flash twrp. if you type fastboot boot recovery recoveryname.img then itll only boot into recovery one time, thats what your toolkit did.
Wugfresh Toolkit works great for me and I used it for 6.0.1
Make sure you flash permrecovery file provided by the toolkit, it prompts this during the steps.
If the copies of factory img or recovery provided by the toolkit are not working one easy way is download your own, the toolkit allows you to use your own files and not the one it obtains.

Don't use toolkits. I recommend yoiu follow @simms22's solution.

when you have root, you can always use an app, like flashify, to flash twrp recovery. but you need to have root first.

I have tried with and without perm recovery checked, I had the newest twrp img file so I choose other and selected it, I even used the option for one time recovery boot with twrp and then flashed twrp within it like I was updating twrp and still nothing. I am going to try fast boot itself without the tool kit.
Is there any other part of the stock factory image that would update the recovery? I didn't install it coming from lp but it still went back to stock instead of staying on twrp

no. but when you flash the full factory image, stock recovery will replace twrp. if you just want to update, flashing the system.umg and boot.img will work, and youll keep twrp.
This is why we don't use toolkits.

well, thats how you should flash recovery. but its not the reason that we dont use toolkits. we dont use toolkits for several reasons.. 1. they mess up 2. doing it properly is just as fast if not faster 3. newbs think that toolkits are made for them to use. well, they are wrong. toolkits teach you absolutely nothing, which is the worst for beginners.

thats why after going to lp and getting twrp working I flashed system, boot, and newest radio independently and skipped over recovery but for some reason it reverted back.
just using fastboot by itself worked great thanks for the help

if you skipped the recovery.img, your recovery should have stayed.. oh, never mind, i just remembered a file that you need to remove after the first boot, or itll install the stock recovery after the first reboot. its called recovery-from-boot.bak. if you remove that on first boot, youll be fine
Few days ago I tried to root Moto X using Kingroot Method. I followed also Steps but when I rebooted my phone, it was booting only in Fastboot an Recovery. I thought it went into bootloops so I was trying to flash TWRP recovery but it gave me error as mentioned in Image 1 (attached). so I went to service center. People over there did something nd told me that partitions are broken so will have to change the motherboard.
I didn't agree with them and again tried to flash TWRP recovery but now m getting different error (Attached - Image 2). nd I think people at service were right.
so my questions are is there any chance to flash anything to device now?? or changing the motherboard is the only option available???
I am able to access only fastboot. nothing other than that not even custom recovery.
You need to flash the recovery while in fastboot and the first image shows that you're in the stock recovery
3nd image shows nothing really, but that you're in fastboot. Try flashing twrp while in fastboot. Plenty of info here.
