(TOOL) HTC ROM kitchen Supports Atrix (create your own rom) - Atrix 4G Android Development

Htc ROM kitchen supports our ATRIX devices (still in beta and unconfirmed if it is 100% working).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633246
Hopefully this will help flow in some new ROMs!
KNOWN BUGS:
Porting tools
Apps to sd
please post any more known bugs for our device
Quote from original thread:
"Who is this kitchen for?
Those who are brand new to creating custom ROMs and want an easy place to start learning
Those who just want to modify shipped ROMs or someone else's custom ROMs to their liking
Those who are confused by all those scripts and complex commands required for building and extracting
This is NOT a tool to automatically turn you into a full-fledged ROM developer. ROM development normally involves work from the ground up and involves time, research and patience. I am just giving the tools to help the average person get things done quickly from an existing
base."

So if we took Ken's GB ROM, we could create our own custom one from it?

I tried to use it and flash on orangefr and it didn't work for some reason. I used a battery mod and icons and uot said it was good with no errors. Not sure why

yes, it does require some knowledge of how everything works. From everything I have read, the answer you seek is yes!!!
I still am not sure if everything is working 100% as the atrix update for it is still in beta.

All you have to do there is use updater script from the ROM you use with the kitchen, e.g. if you use KP's 4.5.91 just use update script from it.

Yes we know that. But when using a system.img say the french one. when kitchen unpacks it the update-script id made. Then ask kitchen to convert to updater-script as this is only supported by cwm there is errors and rom won't boot

[new][miui camera + gallery]

Hey everybody, if you're one of those people who love the look of MIUI camera and gallery you've struck luck. I have not created this app or take responsibility for it in any way. I just found this app and made a Flashable-CWM-zip file.
All credit should now go to kevin2516.
However, this only works if you have EDIFY scripting in CWM. So if you're still running a CWM lower than 3.0, then you're outta luck. So this zip file is fully flashably for anyone with EDIFY scripting. Enjoy!

[ROM][9.1.A.1.145]Odexed & Deodexed[10/09/13]

Hi all,
NoobTW requested a flashable zip of this firmware and I went ahead and made it. Decided to drop it here because it will probably get more exposure here and more people can enjoy it.
I'm an LT30p user myself so I can't do much in terms of support.
Just wanted to give you this to spark some interest in building your own ROMs and get you going.
Use dsixda's Android Kitchen, once you learn to master it, you're on your way to becoming a ROM Chef.
Please don't ask me for any updates or new features. This is provided "as is".
Feel free to use this as a base for your own ROM as long as give me some credit and link to this thread
Atteched you will find the update-binary and updater-script for reference
Make a full nandroid backup and make sure you have the ftf handy in case of emergency.
Made from the FTF Jozinek provided here
ROOTED (Chainfire's SuperSU 1.25 & busybox 1.21.0)
DEODEXED
Zipaligned
Kernel included

I said I wasn't going to update but I was helping out @whalesplaho with some stuff and decided to build it anyway. Please test this and let me know if it works. Also, I need to know if the kernel has been updated for this firmware, I can make a zip for it if needed.

Maybe this is more to your liking. Totally unmodified (odexed, no superuser/busybox, kernel not included).

You don't have to because it was included in the deodexed zip but it doesn't hurt if you do.

Already did, went back to stock firmware and nothing appears, load it again and I have the stuck pixel only in 60%+ brightness (always using 10% no problem for me).

Thanks! Been using this for testing purposes, have flashed it quite a bit with no problems at all. Works very nicely just as stock. Would be perfect if the initial zip had recovery already but that's just nitpicking
I'm having a play around with the ROM in the OP using dsixda's kitchen, but as this is the first time I've tried this I need a little advice.
1. When in the kitchen, it wants to change the updater-script to an update script, can I just go ahead and do this ? Or does this step need a XV specific script? I'm confused as to the relevance of the script added in the OP and if I should somehow be using that.
2. Is there a list somewhere of the bloatware (is this only apk's) that can safely be removed ? I can't find one.
Many thanks
Don't change it to update-script, it will mess things up when changing back to updater-script. Best you can do is unpack the ROM to a folder in the root of the kitchen and put WORKING_ in front of it. Just use the kitchen for building the ROM zip.
There's no definitive list of bloatware but if you Google "xperia bloatware" you will find the most common ones. The rest is personal.

Never try a mod from another device (or even meant for another rom) if it makes changes to the framework.

Hey, i was talking about the incompatibility of that flashable zip someone posted from another device thread, not the patch.
I could work on it, but i cant sync from source and build a rom from source any time in the near future. So if someone is trying, apply the patch in the source using the patch command as usual, and manually apply in the rejected parts. Then build the rom, and meld is your friend for diff, make a flashable zip of the differing framework files.
That's how it's done
If someone has the time and resources to make the build, follow this procedure
OP banned so, thread closed...
