That's so funny because I actually use the Windows XP startup for my phone and the BootupHTC wav for my S2U2 unlock sound . I use the program JWMD IconChanger 2.9b. It also gives the option to change the animated and non animated boot up pictures to. Press the thanks button if this post helps .

Haha I forgot my BootupHTC is different, it's actually the Windows 7 startup sound renamed, I found in a XDA thread along time ago. I forgot JWD is for 6.5, Why not just flash your phone to 6.5.3 it is better than 6.1 anyway . Maybe you can use the tool "Total Commander". Rename the XP startup sound to "Bootuphtc" and then use total commander to place it in the windows directory using the move file function( Just a thought).

What error? I've been using 6.5.3 roms for the past year and 7 month's now with no problems and " Will never go back to ****ty 6.1 ever", If it wasn't for 6.5.3 I would not be using the X1i right now it would of got sent back in the mail, that's how bad 6.1 was for me. It's a simple as this if you want stay with 6.1 that's fine but you will never get a solution to your problem if you flash your phone to 6.5.3 then you will get a solution to your problem and alot more. I can do the same exact things on 6.5.3 that I could on 6.1 and whole lot more .
So.. Can you send me your rom and how to do it

I have heard good things about x826 Rom series( People say it's the best Sense 2.5 rom series) but I'm not a Sense 2.5 fan. I have used many Sense 2.5 roms and came to the conclusion that it's not worth the frustration( Freezing and etc.....), my phone memory, and my ram. I use SPB 3.5.5 with hardware acceleration and like it way better than Sense 2.5 and have never had problem with it yet . Test it out and let me know what you think about it.

I'm glad everything went smoothly involving upgrading, . This what I meant about Sense 2.5 in my previous post it's not worth my internal memory and my ram. You think 63 mb is bad for ram give it a 30 min to an hour it's going to drop even lower due to WM Ram leak issues.

Like I said I never have used 826x before and I don't like Sense 2.5(I uses SPB 3.5.5 Hardware Accelerated) so my answer is not going to be biased . Also about my pic I a use alot of different programs that affect my internal memory and ram so my stats won't reflect what yours will look like in this rom, you would most likely have higher numbers than me .

interesting, that isn't so much better than an (optimized) sense 2.5-rom... always thought it'd be more. (4 days since last reboot and heavy use)

Well your Sense 2.5 rom is different than the rest since it's combined with 2 different ones. Also before I installed anything after I flashed my phone I had about 120-122mb free of ram which is big difference, when I used Sense 2.5 roms Touch it, Energy ,MaxSense, and etc...... I would start off with like 75 mb and then it would drop from there. Also I'm using optxperiabeta02 because the "Microsoft Sound boost" app doesn't work with this rom( it's actually made my sound stop working but luckily I fixed it). Optxperiabeta02 uses my ram so my free ram would be 95-98 mb instead of the 86 mb shown in my pic. You are lucky or your rom is really that good, I have never been able to accomplish 4 days no reboot or freezes with any Sense 2.5 rom I have used lol.

It really depends on the rom what determines how high you can push it, I have stopped using 710mhz because it's unstable I use 652mhz now. That's weird you can't push it past 614 mhz, it's probably because of the rom or sense or both.

Usually there would be a batch file that I could run according to the famous newbs guide. I had the same problem until I killed my Push Mail. Now I my battery barely goes down. But if I start surfing, it starts dying quickly, so it must be something with the EDGE connection. (Although, I did change the amount of threads that PIE uses so that could account for the extra loss of power.)

how can i get rid of my push mail??
guys, doing anything on the phone that causes it to connect to something (satellite, bluetooth, etc.) is gonna drain the battery way more then letting it sit in standby.
so far over all the roms the most notable increase in battery drain for me has been when i overclock my phone.
DAMN! i wanna try this rom out but i just got touch~it2 all set up so i may wait till a stable release (also i prly won't have the time over the next couple days). if i do get a chance to flash your rom i'll let you know itje.

didnt you allready ask this in another post? its enough with one time, often there is reason why roms dont release, and there is reasons why I cant anwer every single question. why is that you might ask, think about it and im sure you understand.

i have added a secondary mirror... (my own Webspace) but please use primary the Rapidshare Link! When you have Troubles with Rapidshare just by there an Account... it costs not the world and there are so many other Downloads hostet on Rapidshare that the few $$$ are no problem at all i think...

Hi, you can use your favorit Taskmanager you want...
CeleTask is included from Strikers RC2 Rom ... i don't really use it often but it does the job... also if you user the SmartTookKit theres an TaskManager included...
My Problem sofar, SmartToolKit have some Troubles when the autmatic Keylock is enabled... i don't can say what it is exactly but i expirenc some troubles... i'm still testing...
also i found some other things... the Java Manager is still crab... even theres a Rus and Eng, Version i only get displayed <unkown> marks in that programm...
also the Opera Mini in Rus is still here... in next release there is the Opera Mini 4 in eng.!!

Nice rom but its not stable. My home screen is locking up when using the color neo theme. The lockups are random 1time when i change my home screen team and one time when i reseived a sms. Only solution is rebooting the phone

No i dont use the tool kit but i think it has somting too do with my 8gb SDHC card becaus it hangs on the image tab. And some times the phone can't read from the SDHC card.

Thanks for going through the hassle of cooking an english WM6 rom.
I seem to have a problem with it though: Compared to the original Striker WM6 v2 ROM it seems to take ages to boot-up. It looks like i only see the PIN-Entry dialog after the screensaver idle timeout. That is: The display has to be completely off for a minute or two before i see he dialog. So that means rebooting is really really slow.
Any idea what the phone is trying to do for such a long time?

P.S.: Guess it's time for an update on ConnTweak. Some of the registry key do not seem to have any effect anymore with WM6. Setting the connection timeout still works. The search for data coverage setting does not seem to have any effect. It always attaches at the start of the radio and separate icons for GPRS/EDGE also seems to be always on, no matter what. Separate icons for UMTS/HDSPA works with a minor change on the registry key path.

i'm looking forward to a german wm6 rom... but there so many to do...
the boot time ... yes ... maybe this is a problem because the port to mteor... i don't know what rom is the original one... maybe the dll's the rom uses from the orig. are compiled for a slower processor... or i don't know the phone uses only the slow speed of a omap proc. on bootup... who knows what HTC and MS does there

Used the rom for a koppel of days. The problems i have.
1.) 8GB SDCH support isn,t good. A lot of hang ups or data isen't showing on the Storage Card
2.) Phone won't go in standby mode.

for 1. search trough the wikis... i can remember (hat this on touch and hermes) that theres a regkey for sd compatibility... maybe this works on the mteor too!!!

Well, was a creative way to describe an GPRSAutoAttach. The radio checks if the GSM network is GPRS/EDGE capable and does an auto attach. This is the G or E icon in the top-middle. On WM5 you could "delay" that search and attach until you really needed a data-connection. Makes no difference billing wise, but might save a few mAh battery power.

Yes, but Strik3rs ROM is booting just fine, that is in "normal speed". Did you replace any core DLLs? Or maybe it is the custom splash-screen?! Btw. did you change anything with the network LED? The thing is blinking faster than usuall... I hope power-saving is not broken.
Sorry to be pain in the back. I'd really love to have an English ROM on the phone. Guess i wait for your revision 2 until i give it another try.

how to flash new ROM
1. Your device has to be spl unlock. You can get the program here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=483465
***follow the instructions....to spl your device
2. To flash a new ROM you need .nbh file and CustomRUU for Jade. You can get it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=441865. Put the nbh file in the same directory after you unzip it.
Remember to do step 1 and 2 YOU HAVE TO sync your PPC with your computer!
And, remember to say a thank you note or donate to the developers that brought us these nice tools and ROMs.

Hi, I am interestedin trying the lean cut version (with NO Manila and NO Messenger). But, please, what your opinion about this version, regarding speed and battery life??
Is possible to disable the new WM 6.5 today screen?
WM 6.5 shows alot of promise, but I've had to remove this build from my phone - its too buggy. It was too unreliable during calls and would drop them or crash during almost every call I made/recievied. It was generally OK when not calling, email, internet and SMS where OK.

Pls stick to 6.1 since 6.5 is still in development stage and people manipulate it.. so if u want a stable one just go for 6.1..

Agree.. since its just a beta build..
There seems to be two "phone dialers" in this ROM which might be why I had problems during phone calls. I noticed that when the calls droped a different phone UI was displayed to the stock jade phone UI. WHen phone calls were OK and worked it was the stock jade phone UI that was displayed. Sometimes I'd asnswer a call with the stock jade UI and it'd drop, I'd look at the phone and the new UI would be on display. Is it possible that theres a clash of dialer software? I'm a complete noob so probably way off!

Hello together, could it be a problem in it lies into English everything in the folder Program files and into German in Programme lies? I have only just ascertained if I it anew Installing have I from the original rom parts in Program files and everything what anew installed becomes is in Programme.
Furthermore two error messages come with try to open the data. On the one hand: Couldn´t establish internet interpreter. Connection Line1 (\Programme \TitaniumWeather\TitaniumWeather.mscr):connect("The Internet")

Right. Slide just means "Verschieben". "Aufschieben" means "Procrastination"... I am german native speaker. Trust me, rather use "Verschieben" than "Aufschieben". ;-)

Ok, asked because some days ago MS announced WM65 is outa Beta, but seems as if no RC has leaked yet.
As at the moment my device is running very well, and a lot of programs are installed, a lot of settings are made up, etc (a lot of work in it) I wont participate in testing this ROM this time.

Now I have hello together, nevertheless, a rather big problem: I can provide no SMs still entering ones see. If I select new SMS, nothing happens. Of MM and e-mail function without problem. if this thinks any program part is absent. Do you have tips what I can do or where I can attach my search?

I have the same problem!!! But I also can't see my emails.
Please check!
I can affirm the problem, SMS can't open for read or write. If the Main windows of SMS (list) is opened, it can't be closed over the X in top.
All otherthings on the phone works nice, so I can see :-(

This ROM is based on 23016 with no TF3D at all. It comes in two versions:
Lite:
Your basic HTC-MS apps for email, surfing, texting, media and basic tools.
Available Memory: Storage 316 MB | Program memory ~ 107-10 MB
Super lite:
Your basic function phone with mostly MS apps. There is no MP3 Player, Radio, or any other HTC app on besides a few visual enhancements.
No version has push internet, opera or Windows Live. You may download the cabs below.
This is a stripped ROM. If you are looking for my TF3D 2.X ROMs the newer ones will be out soon.
For more basic info on my ROMs, apps preconfigured for shortcut to be placed in proper folder, you may find it here. There is one RAR with some basic apps you may want.

I tried the WWE 2.25 Lite link but the Settings->About shows build 21839, I was hoping to get 23409. It has TF3d too. Did I do something wrong ?
So, in this build, I dont get the start bar, oval shaped buttons at the bottom etc. I have been trying to get a build with that for few days now. ( 23041 was on last Thu/Fri and still couldnt get a ROM for that as well).
This happened to me couple of times on this site. So, I want to know whats wrong that I am doing.

Yes just have to fix a couple of small issues like what was mentioned above and there will be a 23016 version. From what I have heard this 6.5.1 isn't so bad.

Time Zone is easily done- if you have the "Windows Default" home running,
as is setting up email, adding browser favorites etc. etc.

you can always navigate to HKLM\System\GWE\cxVScr and set the bar width to 0. this will remove the vertical scroll bar from the entire system.
edit: did some looking around and found a cab that will remove the scroll bars from the dialer only and leave them in the rest of the system.

I guess the shortcut for Explorer did not make it in some how. For now download the exe version of resco so it self installs from PC then use it to copy the Explorer shortcut.
Since I do not have device to test I am providing my ROMs as is with no support so it is up to you to find the fixes for small problems.
I am not going to go crazy trying to find fixes for what's wrong with beta WM6.5 or anything else beta unless it is a glaring mistake by me.

the cab only contains a modified phcanrc.dll so i don't think it does the same as advance config.

No I was being serious. I meant it like if it resizes nice with the 6.5.1 it will save me from answering so many questions as to why 2.5 is fitting nicely with the 6.5.1 builds. I appreciate the link and that's why it saved me lots of time.
