[Q] GMail apk 2.3.5 crashes? - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I'm still running GMail 2.3.2 since I can't update it. Market says it is incompatible with my device (SGS+CM7#71) and when I try to install manually from g235.apk file it refuses to work. Why?
SOLVED: un-install old GMail app, reboot, install new one (black-themed to that!).

[Q] where do APK's download to from market?

I am trying to install the new Google Voice Search app, but I keep getting "install unsuccessful" on Bifs 1.5 Froyo ROM. I'd like to download the apk from the market, pull it to my computer then try installing from ADB, thats worked in the past.
So does anyone know the temp location that the apk downloads to?
There seems to be some issue with signatures on the APK. A workaround is here.

[Q] Gmail not searching after touchnooting

Hello. I can't get gmail to do search on my nook. Tried to replace the gmail app with another version but the thing won't let me - I can't install the new version and I can't overwrite the file or delete the old one, even with TotalCommander with su permissions. Is there any way to replace the gmail app supplied with the touchnooter? I'm using 1.0.1. Thanks.

[Q] Can't update Google+ app from market

I am using onecosmic's ICS rom on my I9000 and it is running fine, however, there is an update for the google+ app available on the market and everytime i try to install it I get the following error:
Package file was not signed correctly.
Uninstall the previous copy of the app and try again.
Other apps install just fine. Is there another way to update? Or is there a way to remove the app as is suggested in the error message? Because I can't remove it using the market or settings (or I just can't find how).
[Update] Managed to uninstall using TB, reboot and reinstall

description: while updating or downloading apps, they are stuck on some point so that I have to kill the playstore the relaunch it to continue.
I have deleted Vending.apk marketupdater.apk

what to do?
This happened right after you flashed the rom? If so,reflash
If it was working fine before, then need more information
Insert witty sentence here
Maybe something wrong with download manager app, have you tried downloading anything else other than apps or updates?
the problem occurred because of Gemini App
