Can anyone help? The original lg camera is gone/corrupt(?). when i select camera from gallery it just force close. Now the camera icon is missing from the app drawer. I can still use the camera (advance camera/retro camera etc) but i really want the original lg camera back. i checked the forum and read about missing .apk etc. i looked in the system/app folder i found these:

arccamera.odex
camera.apk
camera.odex
com.android.lgecamera.apk
mine is V10a

you can use file from this thread .put it into /system/app set permissions after that reboot the phone.
camera app from this thread hasn't shutter sound.
i dont see the "com.android.lgecamera.apk" in my sys/app folder anymore after i re-flashed. try moving it to some other folder(sd card) and see what happens

I've a Question i have replaced the Mp3player with the default Android Music-Player..
The Mp3player was in the system ( /system/app/....)
and the normal installed apk's are in ( /data/app/....)
(I looked with the Root Explorer)
But.. when i only move the apk to the other folder then there is a Error
So what to do??

The only thing you have to do, is putting the .apk to /system/app.
From then on, they can't be uninstalled.
The error could occur for example because system wasn't mounted as rw.
When i only transfer the apk then the App is not seen in the drawer

That means with App Installer i can move the apps to the system?? Like the SGS Tool?
Well if you remove samsung player and install android's original you'll have only this player so that's it ...
I just use "adb install application.apk" and it works fine for me...

SGS tools sounds interesting. Don't see it in the Market, and forum search is still broken it seems. Where'd you find that app?

i got my Optimux 2x speed yesterday.
While playing suddenly my browser is not starting up. it crashes as soon as i press the icon.

I tried a factory reset, cleared the cache. but still is crashing.
anybody an idea how to fix it?
Maybe the original LG Rom wasnt flashed properly.
If even with factory reset it's still there, its supporting this theory.
The only solution I see is replacing for new one or wait for Gingerbread/Custom ROMs here on XDA.

have you try to replace the LG Laucher with LauncherPro ??
and ~~~ as i see in taiwan forum ~~ none of this problem have been found in the try function ~~~

I tried the LauncherPro, and also here it is crashing. same message like before.
Is there no option to completely overwrite the firmware? just like a HTC telephone?
Try to clear data and cache for the browser via settings > applications and see if that helps.

Read here about apk. You have to copy apk file to /system/app with rootexplorer
I downloaded the browser.apk. just renamed the zip file to apk.
with super manager and root I copied the browser.apk file into the system/app folder.
and everything is working like a charm!
now quickly make a backup before it is not working again.

found a small problem.
The icon of the browser is now located at the downloaded apps in the programs menu. and has the blue (N) in the icon. how can i remove the blue (N) from the (N)ew program.

But when you use titanium backup you can freeze and defreeze a program after that he'll put it back in the orginal folder (system tools). That worked for me at least
it fixed the problem with the browser icon!
now only the superuser icon has a blue N. but this one is not in the titanium backup list.

im trying to replace my camera app with another camera app with no shutter sound i can successfully remove the stock camera app with titanium but when i try to install the no shutter sound camera app ..comes up application not installed ....this happens with any stock app i try to replace ..how can i fix this ...thanks

that worked perfect for camera apk .i wanted to remove permissions on other app like skype and stuff which i get same error .i want to install better versions but gets same error application not installed ..can i do other apps same way as camera app?also phone app has video call on v20o but my version v20j i dont have that feature..do anyone have version v20o phone app??and can it be replaced?

somehow i maganed to deleted stock camera and gallery aplications (by Titanum Backup), unfortunetly i don't have any backups avalible so i can't undone this. I have installed new camera from Nexus - but it's missing some functions i need. Now i am unable to set a lock screen wallpaper, and can't even have good quality wallpaper (new gallery aplication is unable to crop images or make sliding wallpaper).
Can anyone tell me if i can install the old one camera and gallery application? Is anyone able to upload them from their device and tell me how to install them? (i belive it's not as simple as .apk files).
Im using Galaxy Note GT-N7000 with 4.1.2 Android (rooted).

what rom are you on right now? you cannot install stock cam and gallery app on a aosp roms

Im using now - com.google.android.gallery3d.apk, but it dosen't let me choose custom lock screen wallpaper and has probles with croping images or slinding wallpaperes. That's why i want to use stock galery apk.
Or maybe there is some other way to choose lock screen wallpaper?
When trying now, i can only choose lock screen wallpapers from "wallpapers" catalog, there is no option to choose the image from gallery.

Just download and extract these two apks. Use any root explorer apps and copy this to system/apps folder in root of your directory. Give proper permission 'rw–r–r' and reboot. This should get you back your camera and gallery

Im facing a problem with thumbnails in 2 albums in gallery app that shows up like black squares... (not the same photos everytime) If i click photo to open its working great with no problem...
I have try everything (clear many times cache and data from gallery app, delete photos and copy them again, try new version of gallery app with my second China Huawei id but nothing helps every time I open gallery app i see some black squares from different photos every time...I have try many deferent 3rd party gallery apps from playstore with no problem at all but i prefer the stock gallery app
I have install 10.168 with dload on my ELE-L29C431 (P30 no P30 pro) with clean install after instalation...
I haven't received 10.173 yet...
Now if i try to re-install 10.168 from e-recovery can't find any rom and gives package error...
Edit... I re download and install 10.168 version again...Nothing the same problem again....
Use a file manager and show hidden files and folder, then navigate to DCIM folder and delete the .thumbnail folder there. It will regenerate the thumbnail. Maybe it'll fix it.
