[Q] Quick: Remove ROM - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Need a fast answer, can't find it anywhere.
Problem is I didn't back anything up with xRecovery or anything,
and I'm not satisfied with the Cyanogen mod, and would really like
to "hard reset" my phone so that everything is like the phone is new.
Thanks, HeLLaTec

do you want stock se 2.1 rom ??? if yes, use seus or pcc to reflash rom

[Q] Reinstall android

I want to something to fall back on if something went wrong (and I dont mean making a hard reset).

Better use this method if you want 100% original factory ROM:

Thanks everyone!
One other question, if I do that, the phone will be unrooted? And if I flash the phone with a custom rom, this will make my LG like out of the box and I wont have any problem with the warranty?
Thanks
not with a "custom rom" but a "Official rom" !!
If you reflsah an official rom, you won't have any problems with warranty.
Hi,
I think I didn't explain myselft.
My question is this:
I want to flash a custom rom. I use Rom Manager, install a recovery image and install a custom rom. so far so good.
But if I have a problem with my phone and I have to use the warranty. This way I loose the warranty.
But if I flash the official ROM, when I send the phone to the warranty, they can tell if I flashed a phone with a differente rom, if I rooted it? If I flash it will erase the recovery image, the root, everything? And I will not have any problem?
Thanks
As i wrote before, use THIS method. After this you'll have ORIGINAL STOCK ROM which was in your phone after unboxing. There will be no sign of rooting, custom ROM, etc.
as I already said, if you flash Official rom of you region (or operator) (with method 1 or method 2, no matter) you'll have no problem with warrenty

Which ROM are you currently using? If it's cyanogenMOD than you should know that it doesn't have that feature at all.
im on slim..just want to know if when going back to ics if i do it like i flash any rom? (with recovry) or do i need to reflash threw odin?
I just did this to test something, lost everything including internal sd card. I believe it had to do with the partition differences between ics and jb. Had access to recovery but had to buy an external sd card as the phone wouldn't boot and was seen as an unknown device in xp so using odin was out of the question. Got an ics rom on the external sd and flashed via recovery but said something about the encryption process was interrupted and everything needed to be wiped. Hope this helps some but backup what you need before flashing.
First flash your mobile with 3-file stock gingerbread firmware using odin... then flash a custom rooted kernel using odin again... later you can install cm9 from recovery in cwm...

{REQ}Guide Flashing Rom HTC 8X

Hi people, please, can someone put the guide how to flash stock rom for htc 8x,maybe Newest update from dev unlock ?
Or
Flashing Stock Rom for Europe, expect Unbrand and Android RUU,didnt work that for me and i havent y cable.
THX
There is no way to flash a stock HTC ROM. Your best bet is to just do a factory (hard) reset. Do this in settings, about phone. Advice first, make sure you sync your accounts and do a backup. Also snatch your pics, tunes, docs and the like first..
Lots of luck..
BTW... Why are you trying to flash a ROM?
i want to clean install gd3 stock rom,i dont like hard reset, lot of small garbage stays on phone..i cant believe there is no way to flash stock gd3 rom.my god....

[Q] Restoring backup from recovery

Hi guys!
I feel the urge to try a custom ROM. I´m used to fiddle with these things on Samsung but I feel a little nervous doing it on my Xperia.
Here´s the deal: I have *230 stock firmware ODEXED with a CWM recovery. It also has the bootloader unlocked.
If I make a full backup from recovery, can I really just restore it on the Xperia if I´m not happy with the ROM I´m about to flash? The reason I´m asking is that I have to flash another kernel with the new ROM. Is it really possible to just restore everything that easy afterwards?
Thanx!
