[Q] LED Notification + Notes writing - HD2 Android Themes and Apps

Hi Guys;
Is there a working APP for HD2 which can set LED on for charging, blinking for missed call etc?I tried many from Market but worked very weirdly!
Also i am missing the old notes of WIndows mobile where we could write with the hand to save a note.I found an app for Android but it saves as an image and then it cannot be modified any more
Any suggestions for these two?
Thanks

For the first one:
If you're using a CM7 based build,(it should already be enabled) but you can set it from settings>cyanogenmod. Otherwise, install "Led Me know" from market.
For the second:
Sorry, I don't know

Thanked. But where is the LED in the CM settings?i cannot find it.I have American android!

Weird, I have it on CM7 (HyperDroid NAND) . Your best bet is to try Led Me know.
P.S : (it possibly could be due to the light libraries, maybe AmericAndroid is using the new ones? ) idk )

LED me know works great.
Thanks

No LED blinking notification for missed calls and messages!?!?

What's up with that!?!? My last few phones all had that feature. Someone please tell me that there is some led that I'm not aware of.

There isnt one. alltho you can use some mod laying around that will lit up your phone screen LED or one that lights up your bottom buttons (home back search )

How long have you had your phone?
There is NoLED which you can get from the market or you can run an I9000 Rom that has BLN enabled. From their you can use a couple apps, Blinky or BLN Control. We have options that work really well.

Most ROMs have it included. its called BLN (Back Light Notification). I dont think there is an app for it as i think it needs to be built into the kernel (Though dont quote me on that).

They have to be I9000 roms. Blinky app can work sometimes without BLN enabled on the Rom but it is highly recommended to run a Rom that has BLN.
OP: Just look in the dev section for roms that say BLN enabled. That will be your best bet for the menu lights. Otherwise, NoLED works great and it lights up your screen in small icons.

Hidden Menu | Device Test | Full Access | Root Not Required

Well this one isn't so difficult but I though I'd share for those that have not worked it out yet.
The LG Device Test "HiddenMenu" is apparently on all shipping phones and it's simply disabled via removing the menu entry.
To activate you need to create a shortcut to this hidden menu. You can do this with most replacement launchers and apps like BetterCut.
Example using LauncherPro (others will use a similar method):
Long press on home screen
Select Shortcuts
Select Activities
Scroll down to and expand com.lge.hiddenmenu
Select HiddenMenu (first entry)
Enter Shortcut name
Click on shortcut to launch
Hit 'Thanks' below
Also now Logcat app:
As above
Scroll down to and expand LG Debug
Select LG Debug (first entry)
Enter Shortcut name
Click on shortcut to launch
Hit 'Thanks' below
Enjoy the vast amount of options and tests in there, and be careful as some are destructive.
Perhaps Useful:
Dim Capacitive Buttons: Device Test | Touch LED Brightness
Turn on Camera LED: Device Test | Camera Test | Torch Flashlight Preview
Wtf I just dimmed my touch buttons nice.
The brightess of the buttons was to bright for using the phone as a ebook reader at night the setting stays avyive even after exiting the test.
Btw is the thanks button only displayed on the site and not in tge xda app?
Thanx!

What specifically is that? I use WidgetLocker and don't experience lag... does it taker a while with the stock one to become responsive? I can't recall that.

Sometimes it goes to homescreen and then the lockscreen, when it's been idle for some time.
It also happens with widget locker for me.

I experience the same issue, but even more annoying, it keeps displaying unread messages on the lockscreen until i reboot.
I'm using Handcent, guess the lockscreen gets the unread count from the original messaging app. If anyone know of a fix, please do share.
Hi alls. For those experiencing some nagging issues like lag or bugginess, are your phones rooted to Gingerbread or...? Thanks!
No, rooted stock froyo 2.2.2 in my case.
Gingerbread isn't out yet :-(

I don't think I get the former, but certainly dodgy behaviour immediately after boot.
I have started getting the message count now when the stock screen flashes up. It seems to count all messages, read or otherwise.
Perhaps somebody can start a confirmed & common bugs thread in General for a good collection of them.
Some more:
I can't use a long complex password to connect to a WiFi-G AP, but a simple password works just fine.
Music controls return to notification shade sometimes after a reboot, box in Music app is still unchecked.

No problems with the above and lock screen, I'm using Launcher pro and Pattern lock.
These are bugs i'm experiencing:
[Not realy a bug but a LG feature]Multiple exchange accounts disabled in LGemail app. Resolved by using the Android mail client and freezing LGemail (thanks for that ).
Camera brightness not listening to "auto" brightness, but uses the manual settings. Maybe it`s just me, but can somebody check the brightness of the camera app after setting the brightness to minimal and then check "Auto".

ok do exactly this:
settings ---> cyanogenmod setting ---> interface ---> LED notifacations
control trackball/LED notifacations colours and pulse
Do you have any rom based on CyanogenMod,like GingerDx?
In that case, you should go to:
Settings->Cyanogenmod->Interface->LED notifications->Unconfigured
Choose the application whose LED you want to change (messaging or phone calls or whatever), then choose Force LED ON on LED Mode, and then choose the colour.

[Q] Is it possible to make the Xperia logo act as a notification light on the TX?

Just one question: Is it possible to make the Xperia logo act as a notification light on the TX like the Xperia S?
Bumping this up because even id love this.
What do you mean?
Yes. Just open your device and put an LED under the logo. Don't forget to cut out the case under the logo, otherwise it won't work.

i'd like to see this too
OK. i did some work.
It is actually possible to do it with Light Flow Lite app from market.
Only thing you need to do is that:
1) In settings, it will detect additional leds on the phone (apart from notification and camera)
2) You need to allow control for logo-backlight1 control and logo backlight2 control
3) After defining these, you will be able to select them in the notifications you want to customize
4) When customizing your notifications, you only need to set their state to solid (both 1 & 2)
Only issue is that i couldnt get them to flash. It stays only solid white color.
I have tried for missed call notification and it works fine. Only thing am worried is battery life (coz 2 leds in use and probably bigger leds than the real notification led.
Cheers,

Make sure you have allowed control to additional leds as mentionned in settings.

Notification LED Discussion.l!

I was just roaming around to enable Notification LED.
So I've installed EX kernel manager and in Miscellaneous section I've found LED SETTINGS and the options... (Check yourself). I enable battery-charging-blink-full-solid. And as it says the led blinks while charging and freeze when my battery gets 87%!
I think we can use a init script for our purposes but i think that will not work with Notifications?
I know that there are many apps that can do this.
Give your thoughts please!
