I've been playing it for about 30 minutes now, using the wired xbox controller makes it SO much better vs trying to tilt the xoom to go where I want.

Go to Google and type in Slideme. Download that market (you don't need to sign up to download apps). I ended up picking up Gensoid, Gameboid, GBCoid, Snesoid, Gearoid and another one for free. The dev who makes those apps is yongzh.
I have all of them. Hopefully that helps.

[Q]Looking for a full featured NFL app and SNES emulator suggestions

edit: it is ok to mention emulators, no? they are on the market...
Looking for an NFL app thats pretty full featured. Maybe live games or even a sort of taped viewing or dvr thing. Also looking for the BEST emulators, mostly Super Nintendo...back in the day, I would use zsnes(?) or snes9.
Which are the most highly recommended? And anyone have a good resource for things to make the emulator work? Thanks
http://www.slideme.org
You can find emulators there. They have a market like app you can use. Many devs that got booted or left google's market went over there. IMO, emulators by yongzh are pretty damn good. You have to get the app for it, I forgot specifically which one (in regular market) worked with the nexus s and the wii controllers with yongzh's emus. Nothin like some super mario world or donkey kong with a wii controller and the classic controller tethered to it. I don't think yongzh's apps are free but they will work and are worth the money if you're into some old school gaming.
thanks
ill pay for any app i like to remove the ads.
i bought a couple apps i dont even use just to support some xda devs, marinelli.tv for one. i like his hidden lock screen.(not a plug)

thanks! according to the site there...
*NOTE*: I am making this app free for download only for a limited period of time (eg. 2 weeks) to make already-paid Android Market customers happy. Thanks for the understanding!

I just got that last night, not terrible.
Are there some that would enable live viewing or clips of recent plays? 'They scored! I wanna see.' Then the app can play the clip of the td...maybe I should dev it.

How bout an NES emulator?...I found some things to make it work on my computer...still yongzh? thanks.
Snes9x Ex, its free as all emulators are supposed to be.
No yongzh steal free gpl code and sell it trash.
Thanks. They all have a difficult time with y+b, like mega man x, mario world...

All the android emulators are pretty much straight up ports of pc emulators.
So whatever limitations those have, these have.
Is it a touchscreen issue? I've been wanting to get a bluetooth gamepad but haven't gotten around to it.
I noticed the only app of his he's charging for is n64oid. All the rest are free for now. I really don't like on-screen controls because they take away from the experience but what can you do? Either a Wii mote controller or a phone with a slide out keyboard are good to use with emulators.
Hard time running and jumping...any kind of button combo.
Someone wanna elaborate on this Wii mote thing or another control method? Thanks.

I forget the name of the app. It's one of the free ones. Search the market for wii or wiimote or wii bluetooth. I think the one that works, you need to go to the dev's website to see how to set it up and get it running. He has the info to get it running with snesoid. It won't work with touchwiz but it works with the nexus s.
Long story short, get the app. Get a wii-mote and also getting the plug in classic controller extension makes things MUCH better if you're used to the old style controllers. Plug the classic into the wii-mote and turn it on into pairing mode and turn on bluetooth on the phone. Fire up the wii-mote app on the phone and connect to it as per the instructions on the developers website. After making sure it's paired and on, start up snesoid and go into controls and start mapping the buttons for what is available on the classic controller. I did the wii-mote controller at first but there just isn't the right amount of buttons in the right places to play any super mario worth a damn. After the buttons are mapped, start the game and you're good to go.
Too bad it won't work with touchwiz, maybe a different emulator might, because it would be better for me playing it on my galaxy tab versus the small screen on the phone.
Go read the instructions. It might be a little fussy at first to get everything set up but it's worth it after you get the hang of it.
I just looked up the app. It's called Wiimote Controller

Wiimote app on Bionic?

Hey, I'm getting a Bionic in a few days, has anyone been able to get a Wiimote working with an emulator? My dad has a bionic, I got it to connect to the WiiMote, but the emulators (nesoid & others) aren't recognizing the controller.
If you have a Wiimote, please test it? It's free, here it is:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.ccpcreations.android.WiiUseAndroid&feature=search_result
& Here's a lite emulator:
https://market.android.com/details?...EsImNvbS5qb2huZW11bGF0b3JzLmpvaG5uZXNsaXRlIl0.
I have been using Sixaxis on the market. Its only a buck or few and the controller is WAY easier to use then the Wii. Highly recommend buying it and (if not already owned) the controller. Oh, I think it still requires root. So if that's a problem then don't get it.
Ugh =*(, I hate the Playstation controller, the Wiimote one's not much better, & I would use the PS3 controller if I had one.
I'll just wait for CM7/9, I heard it modify's bluetooth & fixes the phones that have problems with it.

Yes, I believe Motorola botched something up with their Input Method handling. The Sixaxis Controller app uses a workaround called 'Bypass IME' to work on the Droid x2 and Bionic. Cyanogenmod does not suffer from this problem.
P.S. I'm working on an exciting update that might change your mind if you're interested in playing native Android games and not just emulators

What do you mean? Do you you mean an app that will add support for a controller in native android games, or do you have a game you're working on?

Modern Combat 3 is on sale for $0.99!!!

Just in case if you are not aware, Modern Combat 3 is on sale for $0.99 on Android Market. This game is suppose to be compatible with Bionic.
---Mod, I was not sure which section of the forum I am suppose to post this topic.

Pretty good game so far! Also recommend going with Sixaxis controller so you can use it to play a crap load easier! Also hooking it up to the big screen via hdmi and using the controller is kinda awesome!

I didn't think any gameloft games supported Bluetooth controllers, I tried a few a couple months back and they weren't compatible. I did find a controller called phone joy that's a dualshock knock off that supposedly let's you play any android game with it but it cost almost as much as a dualshock and has a long back order.
The sixaxis app can be set to emulate an actual screen touch. You can make a touch profile that has the X button on the controller register as a screen press to the specific area to fire. Pretty spiffy. Makes GTA3 fun as hell too! Does require root... But if you're on this site that's likely not an issue.

GTA 3 says it supports Bluetooth controllers such as the dualshock 3 and wiimote but it doesn't work with my dualshock 3. I'm using "sixaxis controller" from the market, it won't let me update though because it says I haven't purchased it yet even though I bought it about 3 months back right before I had my t bolt replaced with the bionic. Is there any other app that may work better (I know it worked just fine on the t bolt and should on the bionic but I'm not sure if is working correctly)
What are you using to remap the controls?
The new version/s of SixAxis have the ability to set touch profiles. The game has nothing to do with the compatibility.

Recommendations for best game controller for nexus 7?

Since this is my first tablet i want to get a good game controller, any recommendations? I dont know if the sixxaxis app will work on this with my ps3 controller but it should since it has bluetooth. Tegra zone says u can use a wired 360 controller on there games but i dont know if it will work on the nexus 7? So any ideas would be great. Ty very much
You could buy an Onlive controller and play PC games on it . I don't know if that works with the Tegra Zone games though..
SixAxis controllers pair natively with my Transformer Prime (just have to turn the controller on, and search for bluetooth devices from the tablet).
Works with pretty much any app or emulator, especially if the app allows you to remap the keys to your liking. Can't see why the Nexus 7 would be any different...
Im using a sixaxis its ok but i gotta use the cable with my iconia a500, Nyko playpad is out soon thats the offical tegra game pad.
Wait. Is it possible for me to play COD on the N7 using a PS3 controller?

Ah... You guys got me excited there.
I would hold off on buying a Sixaxis controller until the dev of the sixaxis app gives the 'go' for jellybean
Any game that works with the 360 controller can work with the OnLive controller. All you have to do is fool the OS into thinking the OnLive controller is actually a 360 controller, details outlined in this thread.

Lucid Logix are gearing up for their own version of onlive that you can run on your home PC and stream your own games to your laptops/devices (android included). There were demos at the last CES showing 1 PC with 1 Graphics card streaming 3 different games to 3 different devices simultaneously
http://www.lucidlogix.com/technology-cloud.html
makes sense to me, why pay for online to play games you already own for your pc.
As a stand in at the moment you could try "splash top"
Ditto
I agree that the OnLive Controller is the best option, right now. If you are willing to wait, Nyko has a great controller http://www.theverge.com/2012/6/5/3066853/nykos-playpad-android-controllers-free-fighter-ps3-hands-on,
SIxaxis updated yesterday to bring Jelly Bean support. PS3 controller is the best controller because of touch emulation and Sixaxis controller, but requires Root.
Nyko PlayPad and PlayPad Pro hands down. They're not out yet, coming out this fall/winter. and no price, but it fully supports the tegra 3 and works without root.
In addition, you can even REBIND TOUCH CONTROLS to the controller. That sold me right there.
The PlayPad (not pro) also includes a case and stand for your tablet/phone.

It is designed and compatable with all Tegra3 games but it does NOT require the tegra.
It's requirements are only any android device running 3.0+ and bluetooth. It does NOT require the Tegra3 but it is built and designed to instantly work with Tegra3 games, other games and other hardware may require manual setup (you can also download setups through their app)

Epic gaming controllers

so ive been doing a lot of research on all the different bluetooth controllers that are coming out...im thinking about getting one as well as an hdmi cable to use my d3 as a dedicated gaming console when im home. so i found these
phonejoy play- looks promising
http://www.phonejoy.us/
phonejoy analog- not as good as the hopeful concept above
http://www.phonejoy.us/shop/phonejoy-analog/
Ps3 controllers, wii. xbox 360, and onlive universal controller (i think this only works with the onlive app)
Great reviews for this one
www.powera.com/moga
So which one would all of you recommend getting? The first 2 mentioned support more than one controller for multiplayer through emulators. im a bit on the broke side and most of these are really pricey. do any of you know if the generic ps3 bluetooth controller works with the sixaxis app? also anymore of these that i missed?
I missed one, Green throttle, i believe this one also supports multiplayer
http://go.greenthrottle.com/products/
however this one wouldnt really work for me because im more of a QA than a Developer
Check sixaxis controller in the Play store. There is a free compatibility checker. If it works you can use a PS3 sixaxis controller to play games. The program itself costs around $ 1,50 ( 1,29 EURO for me). Small investment if you already have a PS3 controller lying around.
I take it there should be similar programs for Xbox/Wii.

Yeah xbox is only supported on 3.1+ and I'm still on gingerbreadand I unfortunately don't own a ps3
I wish I could use my vita, that would be pretty sick
Don't know which games you want to play but you could take a look at the 8-bitty. That one's $ 29.99. Some emulators support the 8-bitty. But I have no idea about support in "regular" games.
Mount
I believe there is a mount available that goes over the keyboard and just presses keys, which is cheap

There's at least one free app on Google Play that'll let you pair multiple Wii remotes. If you have a Classic controller w/ dual analog, or want to go head-to-head in MarioKart64, that might be a good option for you. They're also slim and easy to pack along, plus if the batteries die they're standard AA. A couple Wiimotes and a modded Lapdock and you've got a pretty good portable emulator console.
