PDair Soft Plastic Case video review - Galaxy Ace S5830 Accessories

Hi guys, just wanted to share this video I made reviewing PDair's Soft Plastic Case for the samsung galaxy ace.
The case looks nice and it offers great proteccion, but thats it. The cut outs for the micro USB and the micro SD are quite small and the power button is hard to press.
This case retails for $9.00 on their website (http://www.pdair.com/) it is cheap but I would recommend getting something else if you are looking for more than just a pretty case.

nice done!

I'm using it. It costs $2.4 in my country

Great
It really helps
I'll buy one like that one coz' there are some others even more soft and with the time it get bigger and it doesn't fit as good as new

Very Cool Hard Case

I ordered this on ebay after watching the video on youtube.

I have to say I'm pretty impressed with it. Very unique design. It's hard, and rubberized to so you can keep a good grip on it.
It's not cheap, I paid about 60 bucks USD for it. Check it out, you guys might like it., I know I do!
Cheers!
Thank you for that! Bit bulky, but has cool features. Please give us an update when it arrives.
Same here. Too bulky and cheaplooking for my taste.

Did look at one like that but I thought it was a bit bulky too. Like the hard front cover for bag protection though.
Using this one on mine with a screen protector and a slip case, for bag protection

It is excellent quality and offers good bump and scratch protection. It does not increase the footprint much and has a nice lip on the edge to give you a good purchase on the tab while holding it.
Cut outs for ports and buttons are spot on and have enough room around them for a the cables to attach correctly (others do not!)
For the price I am very pleased.
Love the kickstand.

I bought the 2nd case for my Galaxy TAB and it's exactly the same case like yours except with white side.
It's cheap but it's good.
The case posted by Big_Totoro is good but, kinda worried the front lid with standing stoppers
which might eventually create marking or scratches on Galaxy TAB screen.
I'm using Incipio Silicrylic with kickstand. It is very nice and rugged. The kickstand kind of sucks but I contacted Incipio and they are going to work something out. Kickstand aside, the case is nice and heavy duty without adding much bulk.
I ordered this case in black just over a week ago and it arrived today. Brilliant fit, barely adds any weight while the device feels fully supported. The different prop positions are also great. My only concern was that it wouldnt fold back on itself to allow good usage one handed, but it a actually folds back on itself really well.

Got mine
It isn't really very bulky. compared to a 3mm rubber skin yeah it is, but that isn't going to give you any protection anyhow
The rubberized outside is very grippy. Easy to hold in one hand without the fear of slippage.
The "stand" parts don't contact the screen at all when closed. It might if you have pressure applied to it, but again, it is soft rubberized finish on those stant peices as well on the inside.
The fit is brilliant. Leaving all the external buttons accessible. The front cover folds back easily, and don't fold over on itself at all.
It feels very sturdy and rugged. Not cheap feeling at all.
Just goin to touch on the "bulkiness" topic again briefly. Most leather or PU leather cases I have looked at at alot bulker than this case. While that MAY off a little more padding, I have noticed that most of those leather cases, the clasp interfers with the view of the screen.
Just my 2 cents
Cheers guys!
Thank you. I haven't found a retailer in Europe though. I hope this will change.

Yes, certainly not what I would call rubbery or soft-touch. I haven't heard back from the seller yet.
Mine is Black as well. I guess we have a difference of opinion on what rubbery feel is
Its hard plastic with a rubberized coating. I dont know how else to explain it. Its not silicon rubbery or so rubbery that it would rub away.
Its not squishy, but its definatly not slippery. So there is a ruberized coating on it.

just got my GT for a week, i saw this case on "yeebay"
will order one during or after the xmas/NY holiday, so i'll receive it as soon as the post office people start working.
Just an update, it turns out that there are 2 versions - the GLARE is not rubberized. I bought this for ~$40 from the seller. According to the seller, this cost less than the rubberized and it made sense cause he is selling the "other" version for ~$60. But when I went back & look at the item # I bought from (he still has units selling under the same item #), the price has gone up to ~$60.
I think the case is fine as is and will not spend return shipping & extra $60 to get the rubberized finish, just put that towards a leather case instaed.
Hi Big_Totoro,
How did you find it at Ebay? I've no idea how it is called or who build it (Manufactor). I was not able to find it anywhere in the web. Can you give me a hint?
Merry Christmas to all people out there!
I bought one of these too and absolutely love it. The fit is perfect, the ergonomics are fantastic (someone has spent a lot of time thinking about how this will be used so it supports all positions), it provides great protection, and the rubberised surface feels great.
I reckon this is the best case I have bought for any device- most useful, and if anything the device feels smaller to me in the case- an illusion obviously, but a testament to the quality of it.
I bought a few cases for my tab, but this is the only one that I will be using

[Q] Best NS Holster/Pouch (any experience?)

I recently picked up a new 9020a for ATT and need a holster/pouch to carry it in. I will not be using a screen protector or additional case so that is not an issue. I found a lot of reviews here for cases but not much on pouches (unless I missed them). The question is simple, does anyone have a suggestion for a holster/pouch that fits perfectly with the NS.
I found this Samsung holster on BB's website but I am not a fan of the button snap. I prefer magnetic (definitely no velcro). Something similar would be great...+10 internet points if your suggestion comes in brown.

Thanks
try this1 Proporta Aluminium Lined Leather Pouch
I have not tested yet but will do a mini review tomorrow or day after

I will look forward to your review. I am not quite sure how this works? Do you put the pouch in your pocket and then pull the whole pouch out when you get a call...then pull the phone out of the pouch? I am always playing with my phone so this would get old imo.
It seems I would want a more traditional one with a belt clip, but thank you for the tip.
So my review is done if u want to have a look
And yes i have the pouch in pocket so when u need the phone 1st pouch out than phone out fro pouch
But I use to have HD2 in original leather pouch for almost 2 years so I use to do it all the time

Any Nook Color Black ABS/Plastic-Like Case Around?

Hi ,
I plan to install a NC in my car
And I'm looking for a case that I could "destroy" to fabricate a mount or something to hold the nook
I've been looking for hard/nice black case that would look like oem in my car ( almost all of the front face will be exposed - none of the back/sides , and I want it to really fit in the looks of the dashboard like oem radio)
Maybe a case that would even hide the microsd card slot
Doesn't have to be plasticky , maybe leather could work?
I've been looking on google/sites for cases and basically narrowed it down to 2 cases :
1.mCover® Hard Shell Case ( Black )
h ttp://cgi.ebay.com/mCover-Hard-Shell-Case-Barnes-Noble-7-Nook-Color-/230605771815?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35b12cd427#ht_3120wt_1009
( Sorry , Can't post links yet :\ )
2.PDair Leather Case - Flip Type (Black)
Does anyone have any experience with either of them and can tell me how it is in real life? We all know pictures can lie
Also , If anyone can think of a case that could fit my needs I would be glad to get a link/something
Thanks In Advance ,
Gutz
This hard plastic frame in black may be an option.
It's a two piece design, the nook slides into the bottom piece, then the top piece slides into place. It felt pretty sturdy, I just didn't like how bulky it made the nook.
Thanks it looks almost like I wish
It's similar to the mcover
But I would love to see a case that covers the microsd slot and doesn't leave a hole there on the front
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Does anyone know how this compares to the Otterbox in terms of durability and size? I am looking to get a durable hard case coupled with a spider podium and I should be set.
Edit: I meant the Barnes and Noble Hard Case, not the M Case.
I have the following:
Trident Aegis Case for Nook Color, Ballistic Green, Model# AG-NOK-BG
http://www.meritline.com/newsearch.aspx?SearchTerm=nook+color
You can search YouTube and see a full review.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7rTpZ1l0Rk
I like mine very much. Sustantial, great grip and the screen protector is better than the $30 Shield Guard I sent back for a refund.
A SquareTrade 3 year drop warranty might be a good move too.
Thanks , the black one looks pretty nice
But Meritline doesn't seem to ship to Israel , and I couldn't find it also on ebay with international shipping ( only US )
You might try the manufacturer directly.
http://tridentcase.com/product_48_64.html
A lot more expensive for us in the USA but perhaps reasonable for you.
As for black, I wouldn't choose it unless ultimate stealth is you plan. The black rubber they all come with it a dust magnet so without any contrasting color it will be pretty dingy looking. But also cheap looking which would be better in a high crime area. Good luck.
busyworked I PM'ed you back
I said it to busyworked @ PM but if anyone is interested here I ordered the MCover case eventually
I'll give some feedback as soon as I get it
Thanks for the help
Have the trident case ... definitely worth it and much cheaper on amazon or meritline
do you need a case or just a mount?
see the mount the guy in this post got from amazon

Both don't deliver outside the US as far as I know
I hope the MCover will be here soon and I'll be satisfied with it

Thanks but this is a different topic
My installer is probably going to make a mdf frame for it or something like that for the mount
I attached my current carpc setup , the NC will be installed in its place
so almost whole of the NC front plate will be seen and I want it to look as OEM as possible
That's why I need a case that looks like plastic ( like the sides of the current screen setup )

Note 5 Case Reviews (Urban Armor & Verus Slim Fit)

Ok, so i got my note 5 and wanted a nice attention getting case for my beautiful gold note 5 . I went on amazon and found these 2 beautiful cases each one has its pros and cons but they are nice and make your phone look great. I love slim cases and dont like bulky case so i settled on these two i hope you enjoy the reviews im having to type this on my phone so sorry for the grammar errors.
First up

Personal Rating 7/10
It is simple but elegant it looks beautiful.
All in all it is a great case it looks awesome on my phone and fits snug . It gives the phone a premium feel and i have enjoyed this case very much. The only downsides is the cutout for the usb port is not big enough to allow usbotg connectors to fit so that was a big problem for me cause in order to use the otg connecter you have to remove the case to use it. The only other complaint i can think of is that the buttons are inset and not bulged out so they are lil sticky at times when pressing your finger clicks the bumper instead. Overall this is a great case and if i had to rate it id give it a 7/10 rating .
Pros-Looks Nice,Fits Great on The Phone,Feels Nice,Bumper offers great protection from drops.
CONS- USB OTG Connecter Wont Fit without removing case, Power/Volume Buttons not flush and lil hard to press, Bumper guard bows out on side,

Great Protection/Great Looks/Greatest SlimFit Case Available
Im gonna start this review out by saying this case is amazing.
This UAG case feels great in the hand it is not to big and it does nkt limit any functions . When i first ordered it i thought the way it was designed it would cause problems with the way i hold it one handedly but when i received it i didnt have any problems it has a great grip and you can feel the quality of the case it has a premium feel and once you hold it you realize how well this case will protect your phone. It has shock absorbing points built into the case on the back and on the side that gives the phone great protection from falls. It also has rigid sides along the aide of the phone that gives great grip when holding it the buttons are raised and not so much that its annoying hit just enough to were it gives you a secure feeling in touching the power and volume buttons it gives a really great feeling to the buttons.UAG Also made the usb cutout to were any usb otg connecter will fit which is a huge plus for me. The sspen has a big enough cutout also so you can pull it out without having to dig for it with your fingernail. All in all this is a awesome case and is the best slim case with great protection UAG did an amazing job with this case. Now the absolute only problem i can find with this case isthe fact the back see thru scratches and gets swirling scratches and its not easy to see when the case 3 is on the phone but bad when its off but when are u gonna pull your case off unless changing it so this may be nit picking either way i would recommend either one of these case they both are great and both are amazing and guarenteed to get attention.
I hope this review helps ya make your decision sorry bout all the errors but i dont have a computer at the moment and have to type this on my phone . PLease click thanks
Side by side, witch one is bulkier?? Good review btw.
i haven't used the other one but currently i am using UAG case man its the best i have made some videos of me throwing my phone (note 5) and not even a single scratch is there so i think this cover is made for the rough use or people like me

Belt Holster for Note5 in a Otterbox defender?

Hello all
I'm looking for a soft material (leather, fake leather, canvas what ever) belt clip holster for a Note 5 that is in a Otterbox defender as well.
Hopefully the holster would host most of the device but still be easy to slip out and also would have a magnetic closing clip.
Basically I need to the Otterbox due to my environment, and tried it yesterday for the first time and it was great, but the clip on holster for it that comes with that I can see is not going to work.
For the one smartphone I had before it was considerably smaller but I had a holster for that, and in using both, I know that is what I need.
So does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks greatly for any help.

I use one of these, I picked up when getting an oil filter for my car, holds my note 5 in an otterbox symmetry, as well as a nexus 6 in a slim case, at the same time. should be plenty for the note in a defender

Use this with my Note 5 and spigen case. Used this when I had a note 4 and commuter case as well.
Hey guys.
Been a while since I made this post so I kinda forgot about it, but thought I would post what I did end up getting.
Got this off ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/371557478974?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Given its price as you can expect its not top shelf quality in materials and construction.
Basically for this unit I actually found one of some other brand that had a dif imprint on the front, but it was completely the same in every other way. So I guess point is, there is probably some cheap maker who sells to a few resellers.
Again the quality is not great and for both they had some bad assembly quality and in actually in completely dif areas. So guess my point is, is kinda a crap shoot as to what issues is might have.
But if its just a little off at first, funny things with these is they do tend to stretch and eventually mold to your phone. But will say the one I am using now even had the center part for the clip a bit off the 0-180 mark, so its already getting worn out an loose.
But probably the biggest thing I would say is that while the phone and with the otter box cover fit into the sleeve part nice, the front cover really did not close right at first.
Basic problem is that as it uses a magnet, the phone with the otter box was a little to tall an so the cover could not wrap around the top enough to meet its counterpart contact inline.
So basically the cover would just sit flapped open a bit.
For this though it actually was not that far away, so what I did was spend sometime with a heat gun and the phone in the case and just heated the outside and pulled on it till I stretched it enough that it made good contact.
Thankfully I was able to do this without doing and physical damage to the material either.
In the end the case is pretty good for me, was nice and cheap which if you're in a harsh environment like me is good as any is going to get destroyed, so at least I am not doing that to a more costly case.
Fit is good enough and while in need of a little work when I got it, after now is fine.
Down sides is I am sure given the quality it will only last a year or two, but hey who keeps any device longer then that. Also its a gamble to what ever defects it might have when it comes and perhaps if bad enough, may not be usable at all.
Hope that is help to others.
