Mix-&-Match Blue w/ Sense 3.0 Addons
Welcome to My First theme for the Desire HD
Lately I haven't been liking the themes that are available for the Desire HD, don't get me wrong I like the themes that are available, I just feel that some parts could use some changing and some improvement. So I have been working on this theme for months now and I feel that I have finally gotten it to where I like it. Now I would love to share it with everyone here so that I can get your feedback....
A BIG thanks to scar45, Sergio76, alexdiaz, dinik, esk02k and edint3000, if it wasn't for them this theme would not be possible. I asked these guys if I could take all the good parts from their themes and put them together in one Killer Blue Mix-&-Match theme!! So I asked them and got there permission and this is what I have came up with.... A LOT of the icons came from these guys but MANY have either been created or modded by me.

I have Tested and Flashed this theme myself and it is 100% working!!!

There is so much stuff missing form these screens, so don't think that is all you get, so main Menus, Pop-ups and Icons have been changed!!! There is so much stuff that has been changed that I just can't mention it all here!!!!
Another quick note is that this theme is HUGE, like 134mb huge..... like I said this theme has SO MUCH STUFF!!

Older Style MMS Fully Modded w/ Max MMS Size changed to send Larger Pictures(I find I have troubles send and receiving MMS with the Sense 3.0 version)
Almost all aspects of Sense have been modded

Installation:
1. Copy "Mix-&-Match_v1.zip" to your SD-Card.
2. Reboot into Recovery.
3. DO A FULL BACK UP! I will NOT be held responsible if something goes wrong and you lose everything. So PLEASE run a backup to be safe.
4. Navigate to "Install from SD-Card" and then navigate to where "Mix-&-Match_v1.zip" is located.
5. Flash "Mix-&-Match_v1.zip" and then reboot your phone.
6. And now the Best Part......Enjoy the New Look of Your Phone!!!!

take a look in the OP right above the ScreenShots, I used the app Better Cut and that Icon Pack which is in the OP and is made up of a lot of Anastasia Icons Made by Dinik and many others that I got off XDA in the HD2 forum, but there are quite a bit that I made in there too.. the app either lets you create a shortcut through it or it allows you to edit a shortcut that is already on you any one of you home screens, either option allows you to pick a new icon for said app.... some have been changed by simply adding that icon to the app itself inside the apk.
also LMAO 68 downloads and not one thank you... Just saying..... I guess they don't like it jk.,...

Will you consider supporting virtuous unity ROM? This theme looks very nice to me. If you keep supporting VU ROM, I will prepare extras for your theme as well. If you think VU 1.31 is going to be updated soon and your effort will wasted then you can start with VU 2.33 beta.

I'll tell you what.... do a backup and install my theme on that rom and just let me know what works and what doesn't and while your doing that i'll download ROM and I'll start making the changes... I won't be able to test it so Ill need some more help from someone running virtuous unity rom

I bet it wont work on VU, because base is sense 3.0 and android 2.3.4 (for beta). Don't worry for testing, I am running VU on my device and will always be available to test it. While modding, mod apks from scratch and don't mix up any apk from Lee ROM.

I can already tell that I will have some problems with the Rosie.apk from VU because for some reason I can't get Rosie 3.0 to work right with m10 editor.... thats the only reason my theme doesn't have it!! I know how to edit files with the m10 editor, and they work fine... just can't get rosie 3.0 to work right with my icons....
do you have any experience with modding Rosie 3.0 w/ the m10 editor?

Yes, I can mod rosie 3.0. Other than this if you have any issue, let me know. Once you switch to a good sense 3.0 ROM, you might be tempted to stay with it .
Edit: You replace png in rosie.apk and leave rest on me. I am planning to prepare an addon for your theme and rest will be covered under addons.

This is my FIRST theme, but i've spent a lot of time in tweaking a lot of things.
I'm trying to make it compatible with most popular roms, BUT i'm mainly using SuperD 1.9.3 with Wesgarner kernel for the base theme. This means that there are differences between theme versions because of eclair bits not present in some roms (aka dwang, theOfficial...).

Maybe i'll do a tutorial on editing this sources and compiling with eclipse when necessary to get those .9.png files working

your notification icons E/3G/Usb/Stat error don't match with your statusbar. also, the drawer tab is a little off. it looks like u just copy and pasted the top portion onto the black portion. the top half needs to be wider just 1 touch on both sides so that the lines match up with the bottom. otherwise, everything else looks great!
WOW! This is a very slick theme! Unfortunately, I don't use any of the supported roms (switch between CM and OpenEclair). I've heard lots of good things about SuperD. This theme might force me to try it out!

yeah, if i were you, i'd get off cyanogen, his roms are too slow these days esp bc he's spending more time on the nexus updates. i have tried SuperD1.9.2 and its amazing. and i just updated to SuperD1.9.3 with wes garner's kernel and am using this theme for it. it flies! also, if i were you bro, get that new radio. i read that it helps the signal and i flashed it myself and can agree 100% that it made a difference.

New radio was flashed a couple days ago. Might dl 1.9.3WG and this theme while I'm here at work (who works at work anyway? ) and give it a spin.

Hey, thanks for the feedback.
The drawer is right, there's 1px dark border around and 1px white border inside thr top half. If you see it with a lighter wallpaper you'll notice it.
The statusbar icons are wip, sorry... There are too many of them!!

Ok, flashed SuperD 1.9.3-WG (damn it's fast ) and flashed this theme. It looks even better on the phone. This is one complete theme! I don't really know what else to say about it. It's "damn near flawless".

First impressions are that this is a wonderful theme. You have clearly done a lot of excellent work to make this look amazing. Thank you -- I will be using this theme as long as you keep making a version for the ROM I use.
Some caveats, though:
1) First boot after flashing took significantly longer than I expected. In the neighborhood of 7 minutes.
2) When the first boot completed and I entered my SIM card's pin number, the phone automatically rebooted. I am not sure why this occurred, but it was the first time I had experienced this on my ROM.
3) This is small, but removing the line above "android" and below "ADWone" on the boot screen may be more aesthetically pleasing.
Since the second boot, I have not had any issues. Excellent work - thank you!
PS, what's the program you're running in the 5th screenshot, that says "Galeria"?
this theme is nice it runs buttery smooth on enomther's AOSP 2.6.1 rom

This started as a request to port my Epic theme of the same name and I decided to give it a go even though I don't have a Fascinate. Without DroidX007 being the willing guineapig it wouldn't be as far as it is right now. He has been the only tester so far so please give it a try and let me know how it goes.
First off another disclaimer: It seems the battery mod causes f/c loops when doing a restore from a nandroid backup made while its installed. DroidX007 found that doing a data/cache wipe before performing the restore solves this Another way that should work is to restore a back-up made before the theme is applied(which you should be doing anyway!) and then re-install the theme. Either way your covered.

Blue Minimalism v1.0 This is the version pre-battery mod for those that want it simple. If your afraid of the nandroid backup thing get over it because I don't plan on updating this one as it seems to be a non-issue if the right steps are taken. It is also only a partial port as it was our first test.

Blue Minimalism v1.5 This has the battery mod included and will be the base of future additions and/or mods. It is in no way caught up to my Epic version but its not far behind.

Blue Minimalism v2.0 This has everything from the previous releases and then some. It has the aosp lockscreen in it courtesy of frostman89 and its themed in blue. Haven't tracked down the location of the Verizon text but when I do its zapped! The download/volume bars are now blue instead of green. Most of the rest thats been added is catching this up to my Epic version. I am going to try and keep this updated in-line with the Epic version as much as possible.

I am really amazed we even got this far! Theming in the dark is kind of scary without being able to test myself, so props once again to DroidX007 for helping with the testing so far

This is in the early stages I just wanted more exposure/feedback as it was going on in the request thread.
That aosp lockscreen is from somewhere else right?!? I have that in my Epic version but am sure I haven't tried porting it to Fascinate yet. Would save me the trouble if it is.
I was wondering the same thing about the aosp blue lockscreen shown in billakids screen shots.... Hopefully they can share that if its a flashable zip and as you said you won't have to re work yours that you have on the Epic.

That aosp lockscreen is from somewhere else right?!? I have that in my Epic version but am sure I haven't tried porting it to Fascinate yet. Would save me the trouble if it is.

Umm the Lockscreen is from one of deodexed roms forgot which.
And all the settings in customized in blue also. really good no issues for me

It just includes the android policy jar.
Remember it is deodex'ed so only works on deodex'ed systems.

Thanx, I'll probably just add it to OP as an add-on and credit you. I have it themed on the Epic with carrier text removed and in blue text, might work for Fascinate as well.

This started as a request to port my Epic theme of the same name and I decided to give it a go even though I don't have a Fascinate. Without DroidX007 being the willing guineapig it wouldn't be as far as it is right now. He has been the only tester so far so please give it a try and let me know how it goes.
First off another disclaimer: It seems the battery mod causes f/c loops when doing a restore from a nandroid backup made while its installed. DroidX007 found that doing a data/cache wipe before performing the restore solves this Another way that should work is to restore a back-up made before the theme is applied(which you should be doing anyway!) and then re-install the theme. Either way your covered.

Blue Minimalism v1.0 This is the version pre-battery mod for those that want it simple. If your afraid of the nandroid backup thing get over it because I don't plan on updating this one as it seems to be a non-issue if the right steps are taken. It is also only a partial port as it was our first test.

Blue Minimalism v1.5 This has the battery mod included and will be the base of future additions and/or mods. It is in no way caught up to my Epic version but its not far behind.

Blue Minimalism v2.0 This has everything from the previous releases and then some. It has the aosp lockscreen in it courtesy of frostman89 and its themed in blue. Haven't tracked down the location of the Verizon text but when I do its zapped! The download/volume bars are now blue instead of green. Most of the rest thats been added is catching this up to my Epic version. I am going to try and keep this updated in-line with the Epic version as much as possible.

I've got to say Raiderep did an awsome job for us for someone theming in the dark and having a noob run test files to get this amazing theme to where its at with in just a few short days, this is great!! I hope everyone else that is trying out this theme likes it as much as I do and looks forward to future updates from Raiderep as he updates his Epic version.

Waring, Notification Bar and Phone apk's WILL NOT WORK with Froyo beta 2.2 roms
1. Must have clockworkmod install

2. This works for all 2.1 roms. But will NOT WORK for 2.2 roms.
3. Flash ZIP Files using clockworkmod.

I noticed that also, has to be in the orginal source that I used to build the theme from. All fles related to that tab are out of line. I haven't got to the advance stage of knowing how to edit the xml files that control the position of the png's used in the theme. I'm new to the darkside of Droid, the Epic is my 1st Android phone so I'm playing the game of catchup from the
M$ Windows Mobile world. Leaving WM and coming to Droid is like going from the 6th grade and getting your MBA! LOL

ya really! well, I don't know which xml controls what either-- I did try grabbing (from Blue Minimalism Dialer) the Call_Contacts_Icon.xml from system\app\DialerTabActivity.apk\res\drawable-hdpi\
and replacing it in your zip, but it didn't seem to have an affect-- that I've seen at least. Raiderep would prob be a good person to ask.

Yes, flash the zip in clockworkmod. RAR files is a beautiful widget data file. TW2.5 is an apk file and can be installed the normal way after removing any previous TW2.5 already installed by using SDX App Remover.

The files needed are located in the framework-res.apk.

Wow nice theme even better is this version of touchwiz is a version you can customize the apps on the menubar I had a tough time getting it to install on the Heroic Epic rom I ended up just tweaking the rom's zip file and adding in the theme to it and deleting the touchwiz launcher that was stock on the rom and added in your touchwiz.I tried to use the sdx removel tool but when i installed your tw all it did was force close.
Is there a blue glass background I may be able to get with this or how do u go about making something "glass" like

There are 4 different launcer apps available for the Epic. Which one you like or use is up to you. I favor the ADW Launcher because of so many themes already available. I am working on a theme for ADW, but not finished yet.

What do you want to have a glass effect? I have several different glass overlays you can use if you edit the png's in the apk file and then know how to re-sign the file before install.

What I was referring to however was just to set it as a plain background so that it blends with the top task bar you know what I mean? Or if you could tell me what terms to search (did google some but kept getting more images of actual glass then not) maybe there's a way I can make a glass background. Is it possible to take just a reggular image and make it glass-like?
I wanted to post a pic of current wallpaper I use but can't cuz I'm new. Its basically a navy blue like background though just kinda dull and if I could glass/gloss that over I think may be cool.

I wish there was a central place for information. I came to Android world Aug 31 from Windows Mobile. And it's been tough going ever since, lots of reading and then more reading. Look forward to your adw theme as I am on epic expierence rom and he says tw can't be removed, I figured what the hell ill try it, did a backup first then removed tw and installed your tw apk. It loads but the google search widget is all steched and none of the samsung widgets work anymore. They just display a black box.... any ideas?
As some of you know I've joined up with chingy for maintaining the Graphic side of his Gingeritis Rom along with hours of moral support...lol...so this will be my Kitchen where I'll be cooking up Themes, Ports, and Mods! Awesome, can't wait to have some more themes. I'd love to see something with flat colors and a minimalist style. The glossy HTC icons and whatnot just aren't really my thing. I actually really like the stock Gingerbread theme.

The only thing I noticed that needs fixing really is the signal bar doesn't work, just shows 4 bars max in a normally 6 bar area

That's definitely a colorful port. I'm probably going to try and hold out a while until you get to work on some honeycomb. Every time I pick up my girls phone, it makes me miss PS and honeycomb a little. GB is where I'm staying though. Haha.

Might be able to hack together a workable version from the red zone theme...just wont have any blacked out elements, but I'll Try to get it out soon
That would be sweet. Thought about checking out the red zone for time being, but I'd like to see some screens before I do. Thanks for everything you do miles!

Hi guys, this is the theme pack I made for one of the greatest ROM for Captivate at the moment, the Illuminance 2.x (based on UCKK2)

- Pop-ups windows, buttons, modded volume bar and progress bar, status bar, notification bar and toggles,... all in ICS style.
- TouchWiz launcher's icons modded: remove dock's background, added ICS's AppDrawer and Home icons.
** If you wanna make your phone looks even more ICS-like, go to Market and search "ICS Launcher" of Team Syndicate.
- Browser, Calculator, Calendar, Camera, Clock, Downloads, Email, Gallery, Gmail, Music Player, Video Player, Voice Recorder, Voice Recorder, Voice Search. These are only icon changed.
- MMS, Contacts, Dialer, Phone, GingerBread keyboard. These are heavily themed, they consume me lot of time.
And last but not least: the reversion pack.
This is for those who want to go back to Illuminance's default looks if get bored with ICS style (sad me ), or those who just want to change the looks for their phones day by day, lol.
Installation instructions: just flash it via CWM, no need to wipe anything.

I gotta say I love this theme!!! No disrespect chazkenji (I think you did a fantastic job), but it also kindof reminds me a little of Haloruler's themes.

It works fine on 2.1.1 because I made the theme from 2.1.1 base
Not tested on 2.0 but I think it should be ok as well

Just replace the 2 icons of AppDrawer and Home (can be taken from TouchWiz3 in my theme) with the original ones in TW4, and you will have Ice Touch SandWiz 4

Yah exactly, the default video icon is all red like that. I did feel exactly the same as you, it's out of place with the others, maybe ugly.
Maybe you can see somewhere there's a yellow movie clipper icon of ICS, but it's Video Editor's default icon, not Video's.
So finally I choose the red one, just because it's... original

The clock is a free app on the market, and I think he downloaded the search widget.

As mentioned in the OP, the first launcher you see is TouchWiz. I took out all the icon's tiles, dock's background, replace AppDrawer's and Home's icons to make it look like that The second launcher which you see in last pictures is ICS launcher by Team Syndycate (can be found on market for free), just install it and you will get ICS search bar at first start and ICS clock in "add widgets" menu

omg i was thinking about installing Illuminance rom, this theme is telling me i MUST install it. Will post back tomorrow with feedback

id like to use tw4 as well, how do i install it on illuminance rom 2.1.1 and how would i go to change the icons of the doc for them to have the ICS icons?

You can get the TW4 here http://www.multiupload.com/HH3VPD50NF
But before flashing it, open the file using WinRAR or 7zip, and go to this location
system\app\TWLauncher4.apk\res\drawable-hdpi-v4
and you should see 2 files named: mainmenu_icon_application.png and mainmenu_icon_home.png.
Download 2 files attached below this post and drag them into drawable-hdpi-v4 to replace the 2 old ones. WinRAR will ask you to accept the changes and it'll repack the package for you.
Now you can put this pack into SDCard and flash it using CWM

Looks awesome so far on Legend. The only issue is Email FC'ed but not sure why or if this causes any other problems.
