GPS? - LG Thrill 4G

How Is the GPS for you guys? It has taken my phone 30 seconds to get a lock if I'm lucky and the accuracy is off compared to my previous Atrix/Inspire/Iphone4.. Better then Samsung Captivate though =P
Don't know if it's hardware of software related...so how is it for you?

Works well for me, takes 3-5 seconds to get a lock.

Mine locks on right away.

Mine locks almost instant maybe 3 seconds tops
Sent from my LG Thrill 4G on XDA Premium App

Mine is flawless like my Atrix was. Not at all like my Captivate's crappy GPS.

Instantaneous lock

GPS
Seems like mine needs to be warmed up for 30-40 sec until lock then after it is super quick..

Coming from a Captivate this phone is QUICK and accurate with GPS.

Mine hasn't locked for me yet, I've tried gps fix and gps status and no luck after about an hour waiting in my daughter's school parking lot. My Atrix locked in seconds straight out the box.

Some people can take jokes. I guess you're not one of them.

I think it's a little early to start getting at each other already. Please be respectful with what you post and this forum will remain a friendly place.
Let's move on...........
(this was not aimed at any individuals, rather a general statement)

Really, I thought it was funny. No he doesn't think you are a pedo. He just saw an opportunity to use an internet meme and did so. You should have just LOLed and maybe even made a joke about how you were there with Chris Hansen.
Anyway, GPS works like a charm for me. Locks on pretty well and show my exact position.

I come here to learn about my phone and share my experience and small amount of knowledge with others. I included all that information in my first post so it would cut down on wasted time from people trying to troubleshoot my "problem". So trying to make a simple easy statement I still got f'ed with for no reason. And you think it's funny? I'm glad your entertained and your gps works, but I'm not and mine doesn't.

My GPS is doing the SAME thing, sometimes it will lock after 30 mins, other times not at all, just noticed this.

bumping this up as I am still having trouble, I can't really be the only one can I?
This is one of the reasons I plan to return this for the SGII if it comes out in time to make it inside my 30 day window.

[Q] has a rotary style dialer been made?

It has been made for the lockscreen but I think an actual dialer would be pretty neat to have.

lol...ahaa...nice!
lol tech savvy? u telling me that a member of a cellular telephone device development community is not as tech savvy as others? I help by responding "market", which is correct location btw for a rotary dialer, and you say members of this community aren't 'tech savvy' enough to understand that?
and in addition, someone other than the OP bashes me because I didn't physically push the damn application to his phone? think if the OP had responded first with, "wow, really appreciate ur help in finding the location of a rotary dialer". would we even have wasted this much data and finger muscle energy on the unlimited range of data that is the world-wide-motha jumpin-web?
I'm over the tech savvy argument. he wasn't asking for a ported version of an i9000 3d rotary dialer with a midget that gives bj's. he was asking for a simple rotary dialer.
anyone else pissed at the world today? feel free to take it out on me right now cause ignorance is for non tech savvy people and I'm definitely tech savvy.

I love coffee. Give me coffee and I'm happy. And sleep is really nice. I used to hate taking the time off. Now I find I need sleep. I'll tell you about a flashback: finding my uncle's old portable phone. Not mobile, portable, as in a huge leather case that contained an analog device that would still allow you to receive calls sent to your home number. That's some craziness for how far tech has come.
LOL. A flash back to five years ago? How about a flashback to when your cell phone no longer had to be hard wired to your car's electrical system!!!
Lol yah tech is just advancing so fast.
