Hey Themers!
I have a request for a theme, which I haven't been able to find so far.. I've seen the pictures of the new "Gingerblur"/"MOTOBLUR" UI's which the Droid 3 and Bionic has - and now I want them so bad for my Nexus S!
kevin2516 has done some amazing work which can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1021507
But there's some things that are missing.. In this video of the Droid 3 (@ 9:46) for example you can see the contacts app with a white background. I was thinking of a theme for CyanogeMods excellent ThemeChooser. A metamorph though would work just as fine as well
Hoping there is a themer out there with too much free time on his hands! (lol!)

I was looking on the market and saw the mw2 theme for pandahome, it looks great but im not trying to use panda.was wondering if anyone knows where to find an icon set or even make one if possible? Specifically the perks for icons and anything else you could think of.(i would totally go about doing this myself but i have no pc atm) thanks
P.s.-am running damagecontrolv1 espresso with helix launcher (for live wallpapers )

I see a LOT of great themes in this section...absolutely amazing.
Unfortunately I have a Nexus One....and being that our community is a lot smaller we have a paltry selection of themes....
I noticed that a lot of themes here lack HDPI support...and I was wondering if any kind fellow here could either port their themes they make to HDPI devices or if someone else can (with permission) pick up a theme and port....
It'd be great and the entire HDPI android scene would be pleased.

I'm working on it myself, I've grabbed most files from Nexus CM6 and I'm working with that specifically. Either way its free to port if you have the time and beat me to it... or you could help me out lol
well I can't do .9 pngs, suck at XML, have no clue how to do metamorphs or pack update.zips and know nothing about .jar files for framework....
but I can make a mean mockup. lol

HD devices are 480x800 am I rite? I'm skinning launcherpro for HD now for my theme.

yea 480 x 800 (or in the case of Droid and Droid X 480 x 854)
the resolutions for things are what you'd really need to know though right?
I know app icons have an area of 72 x 72...that's pretty mcuh all i know off the top of my head though.

The reason why there are not many HDPI themes in this section goes back a long time when the G1 and MT3G were the only android phones...
The thread is here. Some "genious" decided to move all the G1 themes to the android themes section, so it became the de jure place for G1 themes. When other android phones came out, they did not enforce them to move the themes to this section. Now G1 themes almost exclusively go in here de facto and themes for other phones go in their respective phone sections. It's a messed up system, but you gotta live with it.

Daneshm90 made a sweet computer app (only for Windows ATM) to take the PNGs from one theme or rom and transfer them to another, easily and effectively theming the new rom with little effort. Right now you have to make sure that it is MDPI type stuff, so no higher class phone themes will work just yet. I think he might be finding a way around that. You can still grab themes from lots of phones like the G1, Hero, etc etc and you can use 2.1 themes for Froyo roms and such as well. I made a Buuf themed Cyanogen Tazz rom and a pink themed CELB Froyo rom for a friend that was from a 2.1 rom. So far so good... Did not have success with using Droid roms as they are HDPI. Soon though...soon... lol Feel free to stop in that thread and say thanks or ask questions. He seems quick to answer and be helpful. Since I have done a few (hey, failed ones count, you learn what NOT to do...) I might be of assistance as well. Enjoy!
I just noticed that Raiderep has been hard at work getting another solid theme out there for the Epic users. From what I have read this theme is a port from a Galaxy S phone that was created by a developer dena1994 over at Cyanogenmod forums. I'm just drooling over this theme... If anyone else thinks we need this theme for our fascinate. speak up on this thread, hopefully we can get someone to work on getting this ported over and working on our fascinates soon!
If someone is willing to port over this theme for us I will be a tester for it to help the wheels of progress along.

i would check here once in a while for theme chooser themes but ive only seen one. i guess i was wrong in assuming the theme chooser themes must be specifically made for the eris..

i have the bionic blue, and i went ahead and did the related metamorphs (using zipthemer) at the bottom of the first post. it all worked flawlessly the first time and looks great!
what do you think? those guys did a great job. using the metamorph to change the things theme changer cant was an excellent addition. my phone has never looked better.
Also check the HTC Hero forums. Some good stuff there. Everything I've tried had been compatible. Alpha 7 and orion themes are favorites
