Fast flashlight app? - LG Thrill 4G

So I'm using flashlight as my LED flashlight app. I like the different modes, but the LED flashlight is slow. Very slow.
Has anyone found an app that turns the LED on instantly?

Droidlight is the only app I found that is fast. But it has no widget. But the app launches quickly.

I use this one too, it's not too slow, plus is makes a cool sound when you turn it on. It sounds like Iron Man about to shoot a pulse at you

Thanks, got Brightest Flashlight!

Testing my flashlight on thrill?
Hi,
I have a recently released flashlight app that seems to have a certain success (it's a port form my iOS app). However a user told me the LED didn't light up on LG Thrills 3D. It seems to work fine for a lot of other devices.
Since I don't have access to this device or any of the same family I was wondering if any of you would be kind enough to download the free version and just tell me if it works for you?
Here's the link: i.smte.ch/aledflashweb
(Sorry, I can't post a real link With http because I am new to this forum)

Confirmed, the LED button did not light up the LED on my phone.

I can also confirm that the led does not light up. I saved a logcat if that would help you out.

[Q] Camera mod

Is there a video editing app of any sort or a camera mod that enables touching the screen anywhere to take pic? Maybe just a timer?

Try Camera 360 app. It's on the market.

Just curious why you need that? Do you not like clicking the trackball button?

I don't mind it. It would just be convenient sometimes. A video editor of some sort is what I really want. I can do without the touch anywhere feature.

I found a thread talking about porting the LG optimus video editing apo to N1. I'm not a programer our i'd be hard at work porting this too the aria. Honestly I can't believe no one has made this app.

[Q] [REQUEST] Torchlight app

Someone knows if there is an app to use the flash led as a torchlight?
Other devices with the flash led have already this kind of app. Someone knows how to make a port?
in the market u have plenty of then
i'm a bit worried about compatibility...
before the o2x i had the samsung galaxy i7500 and only 1 specific app worked.
i'll try some apps from the market
This app works fine... except the widget (laggy behaviour)

lol, been using android for 1.5 years and never thought of that
Extended Controls widget is going to add flashlight support soon.
Use TeslaLED, it works just awesome, it basically lights up your flash led (which is itself a powerful light) and you can also add a 1x1 widget to trigger it on and off

Incredible 2 Notification LED?

Is the notification LED on the Inc S/2 RGB?
No .. so far all i ve seen is orange and green .. i ve had mine for about a month
Unfortunately not, I tried a couple apps to test it but it is only green and orange.
The apps probably need to update to support the dirc2

I am thinking the LED itself is just a dual LED... Orange and Green, no RGB.
No RBG on a newer android phone, in a world where led notification color options are almost a basic... doesn't seem logical. My girl just got the I2 after having a blackberry for the last two years, and THIS is her biggest disappointment with the phone so far. It HAS to be RBG!!! :/
Im pritty sure i seen the deadly color red... Or was that orange as well?
Will keep an eye on it

I agree. I think the more impressive part about it is that they stuck two LEDs in there (Green and Orange), but didn't bother to just put a single RGB (which I realize is actually three LEDs) for a much better experience. It seems a little lazy.
Hawkysoft - Pretty sure it was just orange.
^Lol. Lazy seems to be like the only possible solution here.
Quite Incredible, that a phone with the capabilities of an incredible s has no RGB led(s).
wat do u think HTC would have lost by adding this
go figure
If u ask me id say htc was soooo busy securing their nand lock that they forgot the difference

It actually makes sense ... Morons are forgeting what is important and focusing on what they want ... What do they expect us to do with only two colours?

I would guess it's 99% certain that it only has amber and green as all HTC phones since the HTC desire seemed to have been like that.
If anyone wants to confirm, install my app (light flow lite) from the market. Run the app with an SD card in your phone and PM me with the details of the /sdcard/lightflow/tmp/led-ls-output.txt
I don't think my app actually works on the latest htc phones such as this one so I'm guessing they may have changed their permissions on executing the led files.
Pmed you.

Thanks. I can confirm the led's that it has:
green
amber
lcd-backlight
button-backlight-portrait
button-backlight-landscape
flashlight
Obviously out of that list only green and amber are used for the notification light and the rest are for controlling button lights, the screen and the flash.

Sorry, forgot to subsribe to the thread. It seems that they've changed the permissions of getting access to controlling the files. I've got a test build at the moment that may work with it, but only for rooted users as it needs to "su" to the unix shell instead of "sh" like the current market version does.
If anyone wants to give the new dev version of light flow a try PM me and I'll e-mail a version to somebody with root access to try.

I'll test it with temp root. But can't test more than that until xtc clip supports Inc 2.

[APP] Prox

Pretty cool app I thought I'd share.
It uses your proximity sensors to do certain shortcuts on your phone without touching the phone!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKMk_K-Am6g
There is a free version and a paid version.
The paid version is only $2.00, however I wouldn't recommend that if you don't think it's worth it.
Note: This is pretty much a novelty kind of thing, not really meant for daily use.

pretty neat app. I tried the lite version.
Holding the phone with my left hand, tilting the phone forward, and using my left thumb to swipe over the proximity sensor made opening the notification pulldown really easy. not a long drag or quick down swipe, just nice little motion over the sensor.
Installed the Lite version - works fine on my Galaxy 580 (Galaxy 3/GT-I5800) running 2.2.

App to disable captive buttons

Is there an app that can disable the lights in the captive buttons?
I still want them to be functional, I just don't want them on.

I'll second this, from a theming point of view, this would be a desirable thing to have... perhaps someone could suggest a hack instead
I was about to suggest this app:
https://market.android.com/details?id=net.geekherd.softbuttonshack
however it is clearly stated that this is not possible on the Nexus S
*ALERT: The Samsung Nexus S will NEVER be supported. Not because I don't want to, but because it is not possible, I own one and I have tried and tried. Samsung (or Google) have decided that the bottom LEDs will always be on as long as the display is on, powered at the same time. Obviously breaking a few APIs as well as the ability to turn those LEDs off based on the light-sensor.*
