[METAMORPH] [5/27/10] Themed ADW Launcher2 w/ working Nexus Preview & Scrolling Dots
Hello..
I know, I know..not another metamorph from THIS guy! lol.
So as per request/offer, here it is! First off, a great big thank you to AnderWeb, who was able to mix in code from the eclair launcher2 into cyanogen's github to make a working nexus Launcher2. And I also made this a seperate thread from the other one for people who might not want to download the ADW Launcher.
DISCLAIMER: YOU MUST FIRST DOWNLOAD ANDERWEB'S LAUNCHER2 WHICH CAN BE FOUND HERE BEFORE FLASHING THIS METAMORPH WITH METAMORPH
HOW TO METAMORPH THESE FILES:
Go into the Android Market, and search for Metmorph, and then download and install. Once it's done installing, open Metamorph, and it will ask to do some checks and when the Superuser Permissions come up, click Allow, making sure that 'Remember' is checked on...once that is done, just press on 'Unzip/Extract new theme' and navigate to where you downloaded the file. Click on the zip file, and then it should unzip it for you automatically. Click 'Close' on the pop up, and then click on 'Apply All!' which should appear on the bottom right button, then just wait for it to do its thing. If a warning comes up about the framework edit, just hit continue. Once you press the home button, as is usual of metamorph edits, there will be a brief pause and black screen while the page reloads, and it should be done. Hope I explained it well for you. just updated the OP with one made from 0.5 five by five launcher for ya. More colors are coming.
Updated OP with new elegance launcher metamorph for latest AnderWeb Launcher2, version 0.5d(fast). Works flawlessly and it's pretty close now to the actual Nexus launcher. Check it out! You won't regret it!
i like the elegance one. good work. however is it not balanced? looks like its longer on the right side than the left? make it perfectly symmetrical and itll be perfect.
edit: yeah if i scroll all the way to the left. the 4th dot is on the launcher pic
not for the latest version, cuz I just tested that and it came out flawless. I'm guessing you're talking about the other versions then..the 0.4 and 0.3 elegance. I shall work on that and see if I can get it perfect. thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it. It's always good to get some feedback on themes

this might seem like a dumb question, but just humor me on this. what version launcher do you have installed?
I'm wondering if you can do a remake of the original nexus preview dots for the launcher. The ones that come with the apk seem too large, especially on a HVGA screen.

ahah! that's why you're having a problem. the one that you downloaded is for his latest one that he didn't post in the OP. it's called verion 0.5d fast. i think it's his best launcher yet. and the edits i made to it work perfectly(see last two screenshots in OP) so yeah..use that one. i think the 0.4 and 0.3 version does have that overlapping problem, but i'll probably have a fix out for it later on today. but yeah, i would recommend using the 0.5d version linked below, and then go to the OP and then flash the corresponding elegance theme for it. here's the link, btw:

man, what an honor to have you compliment on that. i'm glad you like it. i really like sense ui, and i absolutely love your laauncher so i made one that incorporated your launcher2 and still have the sense feel. and that would be awesome if you did the whole shortcut thing. that is one thing I think we are missing to really have the sense look for donut complete. thanks for what you've accomplished already. I appreciate it.

ah ha! thanks bro for your reply. i assumed the updated link would have been in the OP. lol. but yeah all straightened out now. good work with all the themes. ill switch em around when i get bored with one look cuz they all look sick. i love sense ui too.

The HTC widgets are tied to the Rosie Home. There are replicas in the android market which will fulfill your need. Weather Widget Donate has a skin that looks like that, but if you don't mind a different look there is also Beautiful Widgets.
You could also try "Fancy Widget" for a similar look - it's free in the Market.
Hello everyone!
I'm trying to replicate touchwiz 4 on my android powered HD2;
i dont use touchwiz 4.5 by Fr4gg0t cause it too unstable for daily use,so what i'm trying to accomplish is a closed imitation of that UI.
Atm i have 2 ways of doing it
1-Using launcher pro plus with it's widgets themed with launcher pro corporate theme (1&2),beautiful widget pro.
cons: there is no way to make the drawer scroll orizzontally
2-using ADW EX,android pro widgets (in simple b&w theme) again beautiful widget and minimal reader pro with sqaured widgets.
cons:it just look not properly..right!
so right to the question:do you guys know any other squared widget that can be "touhwiz 4-like"?is there any way to get a properly spaced) 4 icons dock on adw-ex or lpp?

I don't really understand what you actually want. Give me more details and maybe I can help.
As of 4 icons dock, I believe MIUI ROM and Sony Ericsson Home use 4 icons dock (search the forums).

I know what he means I like the touch wiz ui. I would love to have a nice theme for adw.ex launcher if possible. Does anybody know of any? Free would be preferred price range.

Whats crazy... I got the same wallpaper... I live that new live wallpaper....Seems much more battery friendly
