here is Timescape and Bravia Engine for you. i tried and tested many and finally stripped apps/files/framework jars from many of them to finally get it working. tested working in CM7 (#51) and ZEUS ..zeus is giving me some graphical glitches while displaying the tile background. see for yourself and use it if you feel fit.

BRAVIA ENGINE
although there are many speculations about whether B.E. really helps improving the image quality for the black (as we already have a great screen with awesome brightness), but i can confirm there IS a difference. check out my 2nd post screenshots with and without B.E.
it will help you decide.

timescape is not flashable....unpack the zip and put the files in respected folders & set similar permissions.

add the texts in "concise add to build.prop" to your build.prop
now copy the files into respective positions as in my attachment.
i use Qtadb for this (ADB with graphical interface, MUST HAVE FOR E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E) because root explorer is way too much fuss and so is conventional cmd ADB way
REBOOT.
ENJOY.

check the 1st two screenshots....B.E. difference is only visible in low (or inadequate) light and in pictures having lots of fine detail.....like the pheasant i used 2 demonstrate the difference in the screenshots...

u have to compare a previous screenshot with a screenshot with BE on your computer screen. Be sure the picture is having plenty of detaii and is underexposed (like the example i used).

Great work mate! Is it possible for you to make flashable zip for uninstall "TIMESCAPE_BRAVIA_ENGINE_achyut_flashable-signed.zip ".
I've tested it, but i don't think it suites me, so how can i remove this?

for developers and rom makers:
- pls kindly let me know or put my name in your post if you put this mod into your roms so that i know who is using it. this is because experiences in the sgs2 one tell me users will only ask for help in your thread and they even dont know which gallery they r using, since most of the roms just put the words "bravia engine" or "new gallery" and that's all. i cannot, and in fact impossible, to read every post in every thread to help them to solve the problems. what i want is to consolidate the questions and problems so that they can be identified easily, and to help ppl to solve the problems. thank you
a few notes for users:
- ALWAYS DO A BACKUP FIRST!!
- pls, pls forget anything u've seen before about the bravia engine and forget about the prop files. there is NO NEED to modify any file yourself to make it works
- if u wanna use the bravia engine to render/redraw ur wallpaper, u need to pick the wallpaper again in my modded gallery since the existing wallpaper is cached/stored and the system will not re-generate the wallpaper each time the phone boots up
- all steps in the installation guide for sgs2 should be the same for sgn and so far i couldnt find any difference between them
- the only difference i observed is about the performance. in sgs2, the image will be rendered almost instantly (on my modded sgs2 at least, i dono how it performs in stock rom). but on this sgn (not tuned yet), the image will be rendered piece by piece from the bottom right to the top left and u can see that visually
i am going to release the sony bravia engine gallery mod for galaxy note later tonite HKT
this is an incomplete but working demo for implementing Sony Bravia Engine in Gallery3D on Samsung Galaxy S2 for Gingerbread/ICS and Galaxy Note. once you have installed it, your existing Gallery3D WILL BE REPLACED by this demo. note that no performance or memory tweaks, stress tests, etc were performed in this demo, and bugs or force closes are expected but not observed so far

I had a xperia x10 and flash almost every rom on it. But for x10 i can say one thing.
It is a placebo and the differents is not noticeble. Its a xperia sail trick.

i was having xperia x10 and i did not notice any difference though....anyways since, it doesnt harm, so i will try it...i tried even when i was on SGS2

Luckily most of the modders out there have already included this into their builds, like rocketmod

could it be false alarm? coz my blog has more than 280k visits but no one complaint about this before

do not use it in any ics rom. it's for gingerbread only. ics roms require different modifications
it should be running properly on all 2.3.6 roms as the sgs2's version does, provided that the required samsung files needed by the stock gallery3d are there
but it wont run on miui/cm/aosp, etc if they do not use stock samsung frameworks/libs

Changlng Home button double tap action

Hi all
A you all know, double tap to home button runs VoiceToGo.apk on stock ROM.(open Germany 2.3.6 in my case.
I don't use that feature because Turkish is not supported by that application.
I searched way to chance it.
1. HomeMyHome a great app from an xda developer.but our didn't work for me. It could not keep the app set instead of VoiceToGo(which was camera)
2. I think that may be I can copy camera apk rename it as VoiceToGo and replace with the original VoiceToGo but it didn't work because renaming apk doesn't change the name of the installed apk.
3. I look for a way to change the inner name of the apk. I found apkedit from again xda developers. Developer told me it can't be done with his programs editing functionality.
So here is the question!
Is there way to change an applications installation name (ie camera.apk --->> VoiceToGo.apk)
Simply I want to change the double tap home button action with camera apk or camera Ics+ apk.

Ah im new to this but dont think he has made it for the LC1 yet you would prob have to change firmware but prob best to ask on his page. Will have a look and see if an app can do the same for you will post back if I find anything

thanks a lot, I also keep searching for a work arround.
I've found jkay mod for lc1, but it caused FC on status bar process.
So I restored with the help of CWM.
I'm looking forward to have a solution, every suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Like monitor, calender, antispam (Firewall), search, input setting of language. I managed to change monitor, firewall and input setting but not able to change Calender... Will check it again. Also MIUI extended setting not working, so changed System UI which helped me to get it working. WiFi, 3 G work great. only need one help. when we hold home key, we got option like kill app and manage application ... its in Chinese in your ROM, if you name that APK I will make it English (I am still finding it)

I have tried to port 2-3 roms nut everyone was having issues. this rom I managed to get fully working.
BTW What is feedback of this rom as performer and how do you changed those chinese keyboard.
I also want to do so.

For Chinese keyboard I used other keyboard (Swype) and for another I changed apk's which I will attach in the evening so you can also change them. Regarding performance it's good .... I will update with apks in the evening

No vibration while pressing keys on keyboard n ui buttons...overally very smooth n another great ROM...
No email application ...

Search and manage app - View attachment SideKick.apk

system UI - View attachment SystemUI.apk
paste these apks to system / app folder with ES explorer or root explorer, set proper permission.
even I also face problem related to ringtone change ... will check for the same...

Miss, I have tried to change but not able to get success..... so I found another way to face the problem.....
So download new app from the market .... aCalender
better than Google one and get sync automatically ....

Thanks but ringtone issue not able change it ....many options but always default ring plays ...any help ..some problem with key board too ...if you change too many key borad ..next time it wont detect .....

For Ringtone use Zedge download whatever you want and enjoy
unless you can do one more thing .... whichever song/ringtone you want copy it to system/media/audio/ and then you can set that as your ringtone.
regarding keyboard first install any keyboard and then uninstall what is coming with the ROM with Titanium back up, I prefer swype

Dont worry guys MIUIV4 is coming and I hope that it is going to raise the bar

BTW MTDEV have posted Paranoid android cm9 and cm10 so will have a look at them.
I think IF Aben and CK or other people herehelp us to port those roms in a better way. we can have a lot stable CM10 and they didnot need to spend lots of time.
Even Aben didnt released his version of cm10 rom from where I can try to port other roms as his version will be more stable.
I f we can combine the two device we can possibly raise to a new level

Tanuj, Abenagiel ported some ROMs like Lewa Odex version (i don't know whether ours is odex or deodex version), MIUI and some other but because of time crisis he is not able to upload them. Also he created audio blast MOD for all CM7 based ROM and he will upload them all, but we have to be patient and respect his work and time. (It doesn't mean guys who always found here like me are work-less but my work grants me that thing, just kidding :laugh::laugh::laugh

Its IZS v2 exactly the same except it is completely themed and has some of his apps,wich can be deleted in system/app with a root explorer,i think its worth it,u can change whatever u want in the rom,install your busybox your rot app delete system apps u dont wanna,if u dont how to do those things use izs v2.

It know how to do "these" things but why should I install a rom full of services or applications I do not use.
I just bought a moto g. Maybe I test this rom out for my old P970. For my old phone I want a ready to rock
rom.

Its this site if u click on his name u will see his older releases,its not a new rom he just uploaded his files there cause its just izs v2 themed and with some of his appz.

languages: english, german a few european and chinese and a few I do not understand
okay first problem data connection does not work out of the box.
Just edited the settings manual and I have a data connection now.
Wifi working.
Looking at the apps now...
4 chinese apps can be just uninstalled
2 more can be deactivated
I activated swap
rebooting now....
ahhh now it is fast...
musicplayer nothing to special, dolby mobile for headphones included
lyrics to but not working for me
all apps have a nice clean bright ui. Stock LG with a small modification.
But until now it is just izsv2 with a theme.
the only difference between the normal izsv2 and this one are the chinese applications and a theme.
I like the apps he included but after all they are in chinese and i do not understand them.
He included a iphone like launcher.
He included the "round corner" app but in chinese too.
The only thing i am missing in stock izs is his custom "iNoty" notification bar.
It has a nice theme and a calendar. But on the other side the quick buttons are missing on this one.
After I removed the chinese apps I got izs with a theme.

Its a nice theme nonetheless,thanks for the screenshots mate,dialer is amazing i hope i had a themer like that in s2 thread,i like his taste,what about miui official have u tried that is camera quality fixed?

I do not like miui...
but the cam in this rom is great, top speed and themed too

is it possible to have the theme as a seperate flashable zip?

I'm looking for a theming tutorial, I'm trying to theme IZS... from where you learned to theme?
