I have two questions:
1 - I had flashed doixahn's Froyobread v023b in my xperia x8, it was working like a charm. So I flashed the GingerDX v.013, but I didn't wiped anything, I forgot to. When I booted my phone it was running the GingerDX and all my data and apps were already installed and I haven't got any problems so far. Can I have future issues due to this? And another thing, all apps are working well but I can't install Google Maps. I got error messages. Did anyone have this too?
2 - I installed de Module AX8NETFILTER v003 to have WiFi tethering working. Several people in the thread said it works but it didn't for me. I could even use the iptables command onto my terminal, but no tethering. Indeed my WiFi has gonne and i had to re-flash the ROM. Is it normal?
I'm from Brazil, so sorry if my english is not too good. And thanks doixahn for his great work on the x8 ROMS.

make full wipe, install GingerDX v.013 and than try install Google Maps. i think that must work after that..

Hey everyone,
I recently screwed up my phone which ran Darkys 10.2.2. I decided to try out a different ROM, and gave F1 Innovation V11 in combination with Semaphore 1.7.0bm a shot. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the ROM and Kernel so far, but I can't manage to get wifi tethering working.
When activating it seems to work for like half a second, and then it shows "Error" (translated since I run my phone on German, which says "Fehler" (= "Error")).
I already tried clearing the dalvik cache and fixing permissions with ROM Manager.
Do you guys have any ideas how I can get the tethering working? USB-tethering hasn't worked for me since I have my phone, so there is no other option for me than wifi tethering.
Please excuse my poor english, I hope you understand my problem :S

Check the semaphore thread in dev section. First post. You have to copy a script into init.d directory to enable tethering. It is a commonly asked question.

i have installed ginger dx tonight and replaced ginger xperia i like the overall layout although they are similar im just wondering with on some animations you carnt choose random eg moving from screen to screen and also whats with the launcher pro crap go launcher is so much better also timescape widgit does show any info please

What do you mean by "you cant choose random eg moving from screen to screen"?
And you can always replace LP with whatever you want, also, doixanh has stated that the Timescape widget doesn't work properly.

One problem I found that my phone can not connect with Adhoc Wifi connection with my laptop. When I try to connect the cell tries for 5 to 8 mins and reboots automatically. But with my Wifi router it has no problem. Can some one help me?

Problem in GingerDX 17 with some Widgets
Hi I have problems with some Widget. I can not install it on the screen.
Some of them are EverNote, GoWeather, Facebook, etc. Someone can help me. thanks

sometimes when i reboot my widgets say: problem loading widget....i havnt solved the problem yet...still tryin to work it out

I also have the same problem but still I didnt find any solution. If you got please let me know.
After install custom ROM, make sure you full wipe your device...
Remember to backup contact before wipe.

I've installed a time ago GingerDX v22
on my Xperia X8. Now theres a new Version out (v24).
I wanted to ask if I should update/upgrade the
version on my phone just with the option Install update.zip
or should I do it like the first installation with full wipe and so on...
And if I should the update.zip will it kill my data and my apps installed on?

You don't need to make full wipe if you are just updating the version of the ROM. If you are changing the ROM, then a full wipe is needed.

i have problem using this Floyo (2.2.5) v1.0b HACKDROID. i cant acess the internet,market and can't download the mms. when i check my apns setting here WIRELESS>MOBILE NETWORK>APN its appear blank! ive tried to download the setting for my network(3gs and gprs) its still blank(the operator didnt ask anything to save). i can't add any apn for my mobile network even in manual menthod. can someone help me with this pls?. im still noobs on this one.

You have to manually input that sweetie. If my memry is right hackdroid refers to android 2.3. I suggest you try FroyoPro its the most updated froyo nased from dx froyobread.

I have just upgraded my Xperia X8 stock os to Floyo 2.2.5...everything seems to work fine except wifi...it detects my Windows 7's created adhoc network (with connectify, it was working with stock os) on wifi but disconnects right after authenticating...so much confused...Plz Rescue...

Welcome to XDA!
I use FroyoPro2.5 and have no issues.. I'd upgrade to it for a fully working rom..
If you have an unlocked bootloader, just install alfsV8a-GDX kernel and the fix3 addon for a complete working setup.

tethering's not working at all on on this new CM7Alien Rev.rom
any settings i did was correct,i tried also some apps on the market,like "Tether and wifi tether",not working.
And i have XP on my computer

I did install Kernel , not working,maybe i do something wrong, only check the tether box ,like i did on previous roms.Keep trying to fix.
The only different thing happened after rooting ,was that the LG PC suite was not working any more,can't connect (maybe XP drivers are broke,who knows).Otherwise everything's fine and i'm very happy with this rooted way-O2X, and especially this rom.

Now i figured,tested yesterday at home on W7 and both "Plan and WiFi" are working well,so the problem is on my XP at the office
