Can't access bootloader screen

I have been trying to root my nexus one for a while.
However, I can't access bootloader screen.
I've tried holding the trackball and power button already.
Thank you in advance

Power off.
Hold volume down.
Press power while still holding volume down.
Release power after about 3 seconds.
Then release volume down.
You can toggle between boot, recovery, etc, with the menus.
On screen menus will tell you how to navigate.
Get familiar with it, before you try and root, etc.

[Q] power button issue

everybody know that our phone have a weak power hard button. And after long time used. Lots of device's power button become too difficult to pressed. So could anyone can make a mod for our phone to turn screen on by volumes key to safe our power hard button to live longer? Nice thanks!

Cyanogen 7 has this already.Settings > Cyanogenmod settings > input

I know cm7 got it. But cm7 still not completed work for our phone. And I need solution for another rom. I think may be a deverloper can do it for stock rom or Tj style by moding buildprofile or something else

Have allready tried cm7 the volume key is still cant wake the phone up. Note that if screen just went of if volume key pressed immedietly screen could wake up. But if screen went of for a time the volume key doesnt work. Could anyone checked it?

Also in MIUI... just like that, may be because using the same code.

i dont think its possible to even remap keys i have tried and failed...
what happens is that when our phone goes in sleep mode... the softkeys get disabled.

The volumes key still are hard key. As we used it in cwm recovery I think it could be done by mod.

My power button broke on my Milestone

I got the phone on by doing the stock restarr/ reboot thing and got it on but my daughter is going to get the current phone I have so I need an alternate way to turn my droid on. It took me awhile to get it on doing the stock reboot. What is a good app to download or a good alternate power button source? Id like to be able to set maybe my volume button as the power button but I have no idea how to do so. PLEASE HELP

To power it on stick it on a charger. To remap buttons it is just the /system/usr/ and there is a keylayout or keychar directory in there. In that will be a file you need to edit. My phone has a sholes one and I edited button 212 to be power wake dropped. Normally button 212 is the camera. You can use the Root Browser app for that. Also Button Remapper which you need to buy can do it for you.
Just change it and reboot.

[Q] Power button problem

My power button is broken, there is a way to remap other button to work as a power button? I'm using the Nova launcher that have a shortcuts section, so i puted the long press on menu button to run a app, "LockScreen" that locks the screen But it only works on the launcher, if i open another app, it doesn't work. In the System configs i desabilited to open the search engine if i long press the menu button. There is a way to make this works with all the apps? I'm using CM 10.2.
By the way, there is a way to power on the cellphone without pressing power button?

I think that you can power it on by attaching it to charger and usb connected to pc. I remember that lot of people coplained that their phone can't be charged offline. But I am not sure if it is when you try to turn it off (and instead you will get reboot) or it works when the phone is offline.

When i put the phone on the wall charger, it starts to charge, but don't boot on Android, i need to keep trying to press the power button to turn the phone on... But it is already on Android There's a way to remap the buttons to, when i long press the power button it locks the screen?

I can't remember about CM10.2, I am on Liquid Smooth based on KitKat now, and it has harware buttons remap. And it does not have option for lock screen, but you can install some app for that and map it to use its process. Thanks for the reply! Well... I'm using CM 10.2 and i can't find any option to remap the buttons, but i found one app on the PlayStore that makes what i need! "Button Savior Non Root" (Can't post links ) It adds virtual keys on the screen, and now i can lock the screen while i run apps!
But there is a way to turn on the phone without pressing the power button? If my battery get out of charge i'll have some problems to turn it on again... :silly:

My brother has Samsung Galaxy S Advance and some problem too. Power button doesn't work so we couldn't turn on the device. If we did once, we will install an application which change the properties of Volume button and Power button. Is there any way to turn on the device?

SOLVED Press Menu button with Volume Up long time and I saw repair menu, select restart and turn on!

I want use the volume buttons instead of the power button to wake my P990 (powerbutton is broken).
Do anybody know if is possible change keymapping somewhere? (I want to turn my phone on with voulme button too).
