Free 50GB Box.net accounts - Off-topic

Summary
Here's the deal. I have a HP Touchpad. There is a special offer on the Box.net application for the Touchpad that signs up new members for a promotional 50GB account instead of the normal 5GB account. It is the same account type as the 5GB one, but with 50GB of total storage. Account details below. This promotional offer is only available to the HP Touchpad application.
Questions and Answers
What are the account details?
50GB total storage space
10GB monthly (calendar) bandwidth
100MB file size limit
How do I qualify?
1. You must be a contributing member of this community with at least two months of active posting.
2. You must have received at least ten thanks.
Will you change your mind or make a special exception for me since I just joined/don't have ten thanks?
Absolutely not. This is a reward for contributing community members.
What do you get out of this deal?
A warm, fuzzy feeling inside.
This all sounds great and I am a contributing member! How do I get my free account?
Simple. PM me the e-mail address you want linked to the account. I will create an account for you as soon as I can using the password "xdaforums" as the default. Make sure you change it after I post a confirmation here. Please, ONE request per user. New accounts only. Void where prohibited.
How long are you offering this?
Until I get bored, or when I'm done being nice.
Can I upgrade my current 5GB account?
No. This is ONLY for new accounts. I cannot upgrade any account, because there is nothing to upgrade. This is the EXACT same account as a 5GB one, but with more space.
How many accounts do you have left to give out?
I can create an unlimited number of accounts.
Can I integrate this into Windows Explorer?
Of course you can. Follow the instructions in this post.
Disclaimer:
I don't get anything out of this deal other than a warm, fuzzy feeling of doing something nice for you. This isn't a "sign-people-up-so-I-get-more-space" deal. I don't make any money or anything off of this. All I am doing is creating your own separate account for you on my Touchpad, and turning control of the account over to you. Plain and simple, with no strings attached. I figured who better would appreciate a lot of free cloud storage than XDA, so here I am.

You need a paid account for that feature. I use it more for extra personal storage. I've got 18GB used up so far. It's handy for expanding the memory on my 16GB Touchpad.

It does with a paid account. This is basically a static 50GB storage location. If you want more than read/write access, you have to pay.

I only pay monthly to Last.fm and EVE online. I use both of those constantly. I might consider Spotify now That I know it can handle my iPod instead of having to use morbidly obese iTunes.

Make an account for me, good chap.
Thanks in advance

What did I do wrong?
EDIT @ALL: It was a misunderstanding on the nature of this thread. To clarify, I'm not getting anything in return for doing this for any of you guys. I'm just being nice. I have to sign you guys up for it myself because it has to be done through the HP Touchpad Box.net application. Signing up on the website yourself gets you the standard 5GB account. This is the same as that one feature-wise, but offers 50GB instead of 5GB.

Ohmygosh, thanks so much!!!! I have actived that account already!!! You're the man!!!

Exchange 2007 pushmail accounts

Hello all, I really debated on where to post this..I havent been too active for awhile on the forums, been busy, but I imagine I'll be snagging a Kaiser sometime coming up, so I suppose I'll stick it here.
I am offering Exchange 2007 pushmail accounts, with Outlook Web Access, and alias's, you can find more details, and pricing at http://gfyinc.org
My value plan monthly price is $4.00, or $44.00 for a year, but if you have donated to XDA Developers(as in star by your name) I will provide you with details to sign up for $3.00 a month, or $32.00 a year, or a $1.00 off any of the larger plans listed.
I am in no way trying to affiliate myself with XDA by offering the discount, and Im not setting a very good example by not having donated yet, I just know I or a lot of us wouldnt be here without this place, and want to encourage donations, I would rather you donate here, and receive the dollar a month discount.
Less than you pay for a cheeseburger and fires, and you get a whole month of instant html email sweetness.
P.M. me for details. sorry to kinda spam you, and thank you.
what kind of gaurantees do we have of this service
If you're after a completely free exchange account try here: http://live.mail2web.com/
I've used them for push mail for years and I've had no problems at all.

Like its says in my FAQ, if youre less that 15 days into the 30 day billing period, and unsatisfied, I will return your payment.
I do still have a couple upgrades I would like to put in place within the next month, but I really hate to spend too much more, when Im not really seeing that much interest from the get go, but if you want a month for free to check it out, let me know, I would appreciate any business.

Thanks for your input, after dumping a few grand into building redundant servers, and taking the time to set it all up, not to mention the stress, I really like to have some really nice person chime in and tell me and others its free elsewhere, its hard enough being the small guy and trying to compete in a world of giants.

Rather than complaining surely the best response would of been why your service is better than mail2web's? For example...
$4 a month gets you a mail alias. At M2W it's $4.95 a month.
Does your service included access using Outlook on a PC?
What about Spam filtering?
What about Anti Virus?

Are you an Amazon regular or planning to buy something off Amazon?

Hey guys!
Am looking to save some money! Perhaps to buy an Optimus 2X.
I just signed up for Amazon referrals.
If anyone out here uses Amazon regularly or if you are planning to buy something off Amazon within next few days, please use my referral link!
http://t.co/zdBfI03
You could pass the link to your friends and family too. xD
Thanks!
PS: It sounds like spam but duh, since this is off-topic and hopefully am planning to get something related to xda, I hope nobody is offended.

Using my link? Wow, thanks. If you didn't use my link this time, remember to use it next time. xD
I'm a regular, but I hate clicking links. So yea. Also I think it's against forum rules to post referral links.
If you want to save more, and have a university ID, you can get amazon prime for free.

I doubt there are any rules about referrals in the off-topic forum. That's why I posted here instead of other places.
If you hate clicking links, you could just bookmark it even. lol. Just saying.
I do not use Amazon for my own purchases. I live outside US.
Getting an .edu email elsewhere is easy although my college doesn't have an email system for students.
I'm not a regular there at all. I've ordered two things, both of which were sub-sellers through Amazon.
A strategy guide from 1999 and a key fob have been my purchases.
I will probably order more from Amazon.

Did you already have an account? The wording suggests it's for existing customers (but I can't find any T&Cs anywhere to confirm that). I can't see why it would be country-specific though.
Cool, thanks for the heads up! I upgraded, and so did my girlfriend, she needed a 21 gig+ free online storage for backing up her pictures

Fun, promotion and a reflection of how the DropBox team use creativity as part of there company culture
Keeping up the good team spirit eventually will lead to new ideas.
Google Labs is another example how to promote good ideas ...
Sync time is low by design I think, preventing unnecessarily filesharing among the masses (like new firmwares and movies)
