[Q] anyone working on a bare minimal rom - Motorola Droid 3

Is anyone working on a rom that has only what it needs to run? I would like to start from the least we can have without problems and would like to add the things I want in myself. Im not a dev and not to much time to learn with working all the time or I would do it myself.

Ready and willing! I'm rooted w/ Clockwork Recovery and I've already got my nandroid backups.
I'd be willing to help test as well so sign me up! Rooted and backed up as well.
I'd be willing to test, got plenty of adb experience if needed. Really appreciate this, especially with u not having an dinc.

if you need any more testers count me in.
I actually started playing with the Evo 2.2 sense Rom and had it boot on the Incredible although no hardware worked except for the touchscreen.
Anyways, I'll test this out for you.
I will test.
I can help test if you need it.
I will test. Phone is backed up and ready to flash.

Tried out Koush's new 2.2. Great speed improvement. Some bugs: here they are
1. Some of my paid apps didn't show up in market.
2. Video tearing (already stated).
3. Barcode scanner doesn't work - I believe it is a camera issue.
4. Astro backup didn't see my previously saved apps.
5. As already stated some FC - coming out of Android system core.
if you need tester, I'll help.
I'd love to help hit me up if you still need some testers
Ready, able, and willing!
I will test if you still need any.

Sign me up . . . my DInc is a little newer than some and seems more tolerant of tweaks, mods and ROMs.

[Q] Anyone working on a port of gingerbread besides Cm7?

Just wondering if anyone has been working on porting gingerbread to the galaxy s devices, specifically the capitvate. If so, let me know. I have ported several Roms between different devices. I am looking for someone to work on this project with me. Please let me know if you are interested, or have already began porting. I am a linux software developer and am ready tto get this show on the road. Thanks!

They are the only ones that I am aware of. Have you tried contacting them?
They're both on the same track, and easily built from the same source changes. If you want to help, get up to speed and help the CM7 devs crack the last AOSP issues -- mostly the video driver.
Im working on getting in touch with them to work in sync with them.

[Request] Rom.

Hello devs. I was wondering if n e one could make me a deodexed 2.2 rom that is themed black and red with blur, with custom icons. Pretty much like stock with the exceptions of the bloat, yet keep the dialer settings (##program#) and such. Would greatly appreciate it.
Edit: if posted in the wrong section pls move. Just thought since it pertained to development that i should post it here. Thx mods.
flash a deboat rom, and theme it yourself. there is a good guide in the dx wiki. i have personally tried some theming and to be honest, its not that hard.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=749333
i have. but most of them remove the programming menus. thats y im looking to the devs for help. or a fast way to deodex and debloat my stock rom. tried rubix blurry but it kept giving me problems with my net. and marketplace.

why do you need the menus? if you really need a rom, make it yourself. it cant be THAT hard for a simple debloat...
it shouldnt be. but working 60+ hours between 2 jobs gives me little to no time to work on my computer. otherwise i would have. i usually download roms through my phone and then flash em.

oh as to why i need them, im on cricket service so i have to have them for when the phone decides to act stupid and switch up the settings. which happens every now and then with the stock rom for some reason.

Just as an fyi... without any java programming skills, it is VERY hard to develop a ROM. I'm not trying to be rude, but you can't just decide, hey, I want to make a ROM and do it. Having some background in java development helps. And even then, it would take some knowledge of the way Android is built, as it has its own classes and activities that aren't native to Java I believe.

[ROM] Pure Speed V8.5 [Updated:19Aug2011]

All right guys, I'm done with developing for awhile. I need to step back for awhile and get another grasp on real life. So for now I'm just gonna take a break. I may be back later but we'll see.
For now you can always hit me up over on themikmik
See ya later guys.

Yes, I'm working very closely with root and joelz until I get on my feet. Trust me. I've learned a great deal during the making of this ROM. It took a whole week of trial and error, but its finally here. Now on to getting those fixes.
I still need feedback on anything you find. I'm using it right now and I actually used this rom to upload this rom. So far it has been pretty stable. Especially after second boot. Although it is still loaded with Sprintware.
Since you're working with experienced devs, probably a yes, but for MMS, checked your APN?

Yea joelZ is hooking it up for me. I think the issue is because I used the apn from our gin_leak during porting.
Theres more that needs update. There coming.
It'll be just an update and not an entire rom update. Hopefully.
THIS IS AWESOME!
FINALLY A Stock Evo Shift 4G ROM Ported Over To The Incredible, This Is Fantastic!
Please Keep It Stock, I'll Keep An Eye Out For Future Updates On This ROM!
Please don't use the 3.0 sense stuff I'd like an actual 2.1 Rom
Also I'm always up for helping testing this rom its what I've been wanting

I don't like sense3.0 so this Rom will stay just like it is
If anything, just speed tweaks. Idk though its already pretty fast.

Same for me. The only problem so far besides the ones already mentioned is YouTube videos won't play. For a first release this is real smooth

Hey Wild, Ive been playing with this since you posted it up. I must say this is a sweet ROM, its so smooth and fast. Keep up the good work, your making great strides here!! The only issues I ran into is that on the initial set up my Email (aol) kept failing. It did however link up after i got out of the setup and turned on WiFi. Most of the Sprint bloat doesnt work, or if it does work requires a monthly subscription(TeleNav). I was having problems with the pandora widget freezing when trying to skip songs, i dont however know it is a bug with the ROM or Pandora? Youtube i can confirm doesnt work, it wont go into landscape mode when instructed to be able to watch the videos (sensor maybe?). Thats all i found besides your mentioned bugs. As i said this ROM is sweet keep up the good work, this will be a good daily someday!

What features do you want added to Broken Out 2.0?

I have Android Kitchen set up, and I will try to play around with some things if you have any request and I will see if I can tweek mt's rom a little more to give you all something a little newer because I know how it feels to want to flash something new. Only problem is I dont have a revo anymore so someone will have to be willing to test for me but I will do my best to help out where I can
I'm willing to test anything you are willing to create.
