Stock Font - Motorola Droid 3

How do I change back to the stock font that the phone came with. I installed steeldroid 2.0 and I like the ROM but I just don't like the font change much. I installed fontinstaller by jrummy from the market but I cannot find the original font file.

There should be a font simply called "Stock"

I switched back myself. I love the helvetica type font in fontinstaller but a lot of ****s alignment got retarded from it.

I've found Root Tools to be the best font switcher IMO, and it has the Stock font in the selection of 15 or so fonts.

Root Tools and Font Installer are both by JRummy. Lol Font Installer is basically the same as RT just with more fonts to choose from.

I have already tried that stock font but it still does not look the same as the stock font that the phone came with. I am talking about the blur font.

[Q] Change system fonts in CyanogenMod

Hello,
For the past week, I was trying out the Cronos Ginger ROM for Milestone, and I quite liked the system fonts that it used. Is there any way to port those fonts back to CyanogenMod? Is there an app for that?
Thanks

Try using Font Changer.
Well I did try it, but it didn't come loaded with any fonts. Also, I was looking for the Cronos fonts specifically. Is there any font package for that? Also how do I load fonts in Font changer in the first place?
Best way to grab fonts would be to open up the Flashable zip of Cronos, then /system/fonts and you need to grab all of those I guess. Font Changer should recognize them as a "font package" and let you apply it then.
Thanks man..tried it out and it worked..
Is it possible to change fonts without using an app ? . ( cyanogenmod 7.2)

Cant flash fonts through rom manager

Hello.. I have downloaded font zips in Rom Manager on my Nexus s with ICS 4.0.3...
But when i reboot in recovery and flash, it says that it has been completed, and i reboot, but its the same old roboto font anyway..
Why? anyone knows it?
It's because of the updater script. Our mount points are different
There should also be some symlinks for the roboto fonts. I can upload a correct META-INF folder in a few and you can replace the one that came with the zip

As an alternative, you could also grab Font Changer from the market.

Yes, definitely possible.
Actually, what might be an easier route for you is, download Font Installer by JRummy. (Market).
It comes with a whole bunch of fonts including Segoe (called zegoe there) and Helvetica (Helvetiker or something). There, it'll let u preview and apply.
Fergies method is the best, and gives you most control, but try this if you're not comfortable yet finding the rom manager download, opening with 7zip and replacing folders.

Here is how I changed my font from stock to Roboto
1. Root your device
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1454112
2. download your Font onto your tab
https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/design/Roboto_Hinted_20111129.zip (roboto - ics 4.0 font)
3. install any font changer app, run, select font, BOOM delicious new font appears
Roboto is amazing. Love this font. I use it in all my apps now. Looks 100% better on 99% of interfaces (for some reason looks a bit squished in gmail)
does anyone know how to change the font of the clock in the status bar? I hate the font that Samsung is using.

if you change trough update.zip i think (CMIIW) thats dangerous but if you know that samsung default has font changer in setting but the one i dont understand is how to add more cause i had copy and paste into system/font with root exp but no luck and the font not showing on list
Just a quick update on what I have recently found is the best solution to getting Roboto on this device.
Don't use a font changing app like Font Changer or Font Installer, etc. Specifically those two don't overwrite the default fonts correctly & that's why you will see weird looking fonts sometimes (gmail app for example).
Best & Easiest Solution (requires root):
1. Download this rar file.
2. Extract the three .ttf files and copy over to your device.
3. Copy them to the system\fonts and overwrite the originals (I will give you a link to the originals).
4. If you want to go back to stock, download this file and do steps 2 & 3 again.
Anyone tried this on ICS? I did it but saw zero change

Downloaded fonts do not apply!

Hello
My S5830 is on stock rom 2.3.5. I wanted to change my system font. From "Font style" I downloaded an Arabic font pack. Now I have many fonts to set as system fonts.
But when I set any of them and reboot the system, no font change happen and system font is still the default font.
What is the solution? Why does not any change happen?
Is your device rooted? If not, then you'd need to do so in order to change system fonts. Kindly specify which app you are using to change the font.

To change the default Persian font of my device,

Also from "Font style" of my device, I downloaded fonts from google, but no change happened.

Hi,
if you rooted the SGA, backup the content of /system/fonts folder;
then substitute (use ghost commander) the original fonts with the content of Arabic font pack you downloaded and set the appropriate permission;
the reboot the phone and enjoy

Changing the Font

Does anyone know how I can change the font?
Tried downloading the iFont app, getting it to see my custom font (just Google's Product Sans) and create a font theme. The Themes Manager recognised it but then said it wasn't compatible. Asked it to use anyway as is and in a compatible version but the font still hasn't changed.
Tried downloading the EMUI enabler and that seemed to enable fonts but it doesn't recognise any apart from the iFont theme.
Thanks

However it appears you cannot simply drop the TTF file in the Themes folder and the app recognise it.
