So, since I retired my d1, I haven't had time to do any theme porting. I did quite a few for Droid Concepts before I moved to my D3. Anyway, Im going to start porting some themes because im a bit of a theme junkie and like to change it up quite often and with the current lack of theme choices, its time to get to work. First thing I want to do is get some feedback and see what themes the community would like to see. My guess is since all the roms are based on the same framework, the ports "should" work on most of them. I am going to pick the top 3 themes that I get feedback on. As I am new to the D3s framework, they will be a work in progress until I find where everything is at. This is the reason for choosing 3 to begin with.
So let's see what you are all interested in. IMPORTANT: please provide a link to the theme when you post so we can all see.

this is what i wanted too. if you are rooted flash MonsterROM the theme is pretty thorough throughout. no gloss or metallic or anything like that. The only thing i wish is he would black out the settings and menus with white bars instead of just making black bars.

Yeah that was one of my favorite themes from the D1. I have some red honeycomb parts in my theme right now I created.

It has been reported that this works just fine with the D3, as is.
Just remember "Nadroid first and often"

For starters, I'm on chevycams SteelDroid 3.0 (which means already deodexed). When I installed this package, there are a few things I noticed immediately that made the phone unusable. First as you unlock the phone this error pops up: "Sorry! The process.com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.". You get a similar error for many apps. Second, you get no service (at all). Your contacts are gone, and the camera is gone. Some of these things you can easily reinstall yes, but there are some things I may not know about that may not work. Many applications have errors so you can't access them and make your force close. You can't directly access the settings menu (so no wifi, data options, etc.). Should I try installing it from stock?

Yeah, I had alot of anxiety over the dialer. The original theme uses the honeycomb dialer. I tried to darken it up a little but its still not my cup of tea. Ill try a couple more things before release. Thanks for feedback.......

Not long 2-3days depending on what feedback I get. I Also want it to be clean and being that I just finished it up Id like to test it for a day or two before I release it and end up dealing with the NUKE that is created by releasing without feedback or testing, as I wont have much time to update after this week. decided id make a new thread since its a new mod and i went ahead and threw in my update for my theme too
also i will update op later but this only has been tested on stock deodex ec05 but i worked it on syndicate framework if you have any issues downloading please do a fresh install of everything

sorry about that i dont know why its probably my theme but i know if you start ovewr and wipe 3x flash rom boot up and the reflash the theme everything will work. again if you use the stock one it will be stock images no theme

sorry maybe someone else will do that but ee03 is a leak and not fully functional yet. my next update will be to get rid of the app and impliment this mod into settings i already have it working just adding some extras!
GREAT job man!!!! Works amazing. The only comment I have is for the glass lock. Is it possible for a puzzle piece to show up when a message comes in to go straight to the messaging app. This is how it is for the galaxy s 4g on tmobile. That would be great!!

Actually I have a question. What's it take to change the way these work? As in from EB12 to EC05 to EE03 etc... Everyone says the EE03 isnt finished but it's as finished but it's flawless for me.
Running the stock version on an unthemed SRF 1.1 with LP (if there is any relevance), these following issues present themselves to me:
1.) Text in the homescreen menu following menu softkey press is almost the same shade of grey as the menu background.
2.) With the puzzle lock, the size of the puzzle pieces in the background change size following the press of the "missing" piece.
3.) Epic lock locked the phone after a single occurrence of haptic feedback once the screen was touched. Had to pull the battery to reset the phone.
That is all I have found as of yet. Thank you, thus far and in advance, for all of the effort you have put into this.

From what I understand, the problem is system app related. They will call on certain items from framework-res and twframework-res...however there are obviously differences in the frameworks between versions, and the apps are adjusted as such. So when you are one version, and launch, say, phone.apk, but your framework is from a different version, boom, the app either FCs or it simply won't launch. Even eb13 and ec05 have their differences, even though they are both froyo.
I could be completely off base here though, and I may have misunderstood your question. Just speaking from my experience.
And regarding ee03...the OP may be shying away from porting to it because of the bugs in the build, and those combined with a framework mod such as this could have unpredictable and undesirable consequences. I know you *think* its flawless, and it very well may be on the surface for you a finished build, but there ARE low level bugs and unfinished pieces in this build. You may never notice them; much like different phones respond differently to overclocking and undervolting due to *slight* inequalities in hardware build quality, so too do bugs arise differently for people with beta builds such as ee03...hence, the mixed results with k0nanes gps fix. Works for some immediately, works for some with a specific flash sequence, and does not work at all for others. So rest assured, your system is not in a final build *yet*. I know it might seem perfect, but it's not. There are low level, system related things that are unfinished, but your phone's performance might be able to compensate for them. The gingerbread task killing and status bar behavior are two things that come to mind.

Custom Dialer's for the NS4G
DISCONTINUED: Not making these dialer's anymore. Thank you to those of you that have supported and donated. I just don't have the time, and every time I post something new, somebody is messaging me saying that because they have done this on other phones, they deserve thanks for the work that I have done. I don't need the headache or drama.
I have been playing around with these dialers on my NS4G. These have been tested on CM7 Nightlies, Deck Gingerbread Rom, Bugless Pete's ASOP Nightlies and Carbon Series Rom and they work just fine. These zips will only change the contacts.apk on your system. I have made a few changes on most of the zips so a few things in the contacts will be themed. Here are some screenshots.
I guess that I should add that I am not responsible if anything would happen to your phone, so please flash at your own risk. If anybody has any problems on other roms than I listed, please let me know so I can update the OP.
Any special request on a themed dialer you would like, just post it in this thread. It might take me some time to get it done, but I will get it done as soon as possible. I have a pretty busy work schedule but I can usually work on this stuff on the weekends.

Look in the drawable HDPI finger folder in the contact.apk. Thats where I changed the keypad.

Each individual number key. Unless there is an easier way that I don't know about. I'm kind of new to doing this but thats how I do it.

OP has been updated with new Dialer's and updated download links.
So i looked in the file and thought hmmm alot more work than i expected, is there a way to change the back ground picture behind the buttons instead of being all black?
Also im running kings rom on my phone which has been running beautifully, but it is not deodexed will this give me an issue with modding my dialer? or any other files within my phone? ive looked at other roms but nothing has caught my liking. which one are you running?
I will post up a pic on here i want made into a dialer to ry it out on mine if you can make it for me.
I wanted to make a theme for myself, and I felt like sharing it with everyone here.
Right now, it includes icons for signal, data, and battery. I have also changed all but one part of the pull-down notification bar.

As you can see, I changed all of it but that one little part.
If you can figure out which image that is (I can't for the life of me), I'll change it asap.
I also got to work changing everything from white and blue to black and orange... I'll upload that at a later date when I have in a somewhat beta stage.
Anyways, here's a download for it:
Install like any other Metamorph theme.
*NOTE* When installing, it'll FC after it applies SystemUI. Keep hitting "close", and wait for the 'continue' prompt to show up for editing framework-res. Quickly tap 'close' on the FC and then tap 'continue' on the framework-res prompt thing.
Looks good. I downloaded and tried to apply but I keep getting a "theme control file is missing" error. Any ides?

NM: I figured it out. There were 2 directories inside the zip and it was throwing off Metamorph. Looks fantastic dude, good work.

I made things black in mspaint, got the crosshatch design from a CM7 build, and the rest from the UOT Kitchen.

I couldn't find the file for the headers in the notification pull down either. Annoyed by the blue bar where everything else is black/grey. Let me know if you do.

It's probably hidden in some .xml file...
I'm setting up Arch Linux on my laptop today and plan to dig around everywhere I can to find this. I'm starting to think it's not an image, but a single defined color somewhere in some code.

Agreed. Id Be so much nicer if we were working with a deodexed system. I've tried every image that is remotely close to that bar. I was just hoping it was an image for ease of metamorph, since flashing with CW is still being developed.

Yes, but since the recovery isn't complete yet, update.zip format is risky. Been told there's a good chance id be sbfing if it failed. Also the process to remove all the odex files and push the deodexed apk is a pita and still undergoing testing.

When you find a way to make the pulldown a different color, someone please pm me so I can fix my scheme >_> white on black with sudden blue does not look like professional work.

lol chill dude, he's talking about the blue bar that we haven't found how to change yet.
Plus, I have Photoshop CS4, Paint is just quicker and easier to black out an entire image.

I understand that but it saves in lower quality in comparison. I'm just saying you wont really see something of amazing quality come from paint. Not knocking what you used just sayin, lol.

I highly recommend you use Zipthemer to install this. It changes SystemUI.apk, which will cause a force close loop if you use Metamorph during install, requiring a batter pull. Click here for Zipthemer instructions. Of course, make a backup before installing, just in case.
Thses morphs change the Notification Power Widget buttons when on, and a few other notifications.

Thanks. These morphs aren't as extensive as my CM7 morphs. Maybe they will grow as time goes on.

Some themes, like the Holo themes from Ricardo Cerqueira, don't theme the notification power widget buttons. These morphs are made to add some finishing touches to those themes, thus the title "To go with CM9 Themes". They are not stand-alone themes.
The ICS-Blue morph is meant to go with no theme (system).
I'm also thinking about making some custom unlock buttons for the lockscreen too, like this one that I use:

Hey bud. I'm fairly used to zip themer, been using your themes on cm7 but I just can't get the crosshairs to replace the old unlock button. Tried all the trouble shooting, gonna try the hitchhiker one to see if it was only the crosshairs file. Any suggestions? cm9 droid incredible

Rereading your post, yes, these morphs target xhdpi folders. So that is likely your problem.
