I don't think there is an apk for stock System theme. If you want that as your base just use the UOT's empty theme apk, modify it, and apply as usual. Whatever you don't change will be the System theme.

Theming: Where to get started

I have some ideas in mind in terms of theming for our devices.. I was thinking how would I go about doing this? Custom frameworks for every version of froyo, with CWM files, or just metamorph theming with XML files?
Take a look here

Now, I am interested in making the notification pull down into a transparent one also would like to have a black market theme. There are plenty available for different modems do we have anything like that for KB1?

You need to edit the alpha channel of the status_bar_background.png or status_bar_background.9.png located in the system/framework/twframework-res.apk
You can either decompile the apk or use a zip program like 7zip or winrar to look inside the apk. The status_bar_background image is located in the res/drawable-hdpi or res/drawable-hdpi-v4 folder in the apk.
The alpha channel is the transparent channel... if you don't know how to edit an alpha channel, you'll have to do a search on google or something to learn how to do that with a graphics editing program like GIMP or Photoshop.
Before you mess with this stuff, make a nandroid backup or a flashable zip with your current unmodified twframework-res.apk so if you mess up and the phone boot loops you can still restore your phone to the state it was before you modified it.

[Q] How to Extract Icons from MIUI themes.

How can I extract statusbar icons from a MIUI theme (.mtz)
I believe u can find thim in systenui.apk or framework- res.apk.

In that mtz there are com.android.systemui and framework-res, but it doesn't have any extension as .apk
Look in /system/app and system/framework to find the apk's.

Im sorry for that up on this very old topic, but i dont want to open another thread.
How to edit miui theme which is downloaded from Themes (the official themes app for miui), im using miui v5. 3.4.19 on htc dhd.
Where to search for the theme files? (there is no *.mtz archive in sd card or somewhere in root)

Trying to apply themes for miui

So I'm actually looking for the theme manager to apply the mtz files for miui. Cause I don't wanna go through all that trouble to rename and download the tools.

You have to be on MIUI rom or just install MIUI Launcher(real launcher from Xiaomi).
PS:MiUi Launcher work only with ICS.

[Q] theme chooser to install alloy ui theme for V30b

I've been searching for the theme chooser for hours, and I can't find it any where to install alloy UI theme. I saw that gawbreakz has installed it on his phone, so anybody can plz help me to do this ? Thanks in advance !
That is used in cyanogenmod only. Theme choosers are not available in stock roms. The only way to do that is to decompile the theme apk and put the themed files into the framework res and system ui. This is very tedious and you require to be well known in apktool
Thanks for your information ! I've read a post of UniversalSS say that the toggle of garbreakz )) can be downloaded on google plays. So if anybody can make a flashable zip, I will be very appriciate
I am including it in my next rom, I even modified the brightness toggle so numbers would appear normally: )
