[q] sugestion : Dividing forums - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

SUGESTION : Why don't XDA Developers divide the forums in subforums like "FOR GSM" and "FOR CDMA"?. I have a very hard time looking for Sprint CDMA information and have to go to tons of GSM Which is usless to me and time consuming.

Moved to Q&A, as its a Question. Please post in the appropriate section.
Otherwise I have to wade through tons of posts that are in the wrong section.
You would need to PM a Forum Administrator to request that, or post it here --> [Requests] Ask for new forums here

A wifi forum would be nice too.

They were dividing them, but due to something we don't know, they made it one forum for boths, asking the devs to tag [ CDMA ] or [GSM] into their title so ppl can recognize which thread this for, that is why you have to read the thread title
If isn't showing [CDMA or anything you look for] then this thread is not for ya,

Creating a CDMA sub-forum isnt going to make CDMA roms magically appear.
Use search and search thread titles for , hmmm "CDMA", simple.
Forums were split before but it created more problems then it solved. I very much doubt it will happen again.
If you want CDMA titles use search.

True- but it would be much harder to ignore the galaxy tab wifi if it were less of a footnote *sighs*
I am so utterly never buying anything from samsung again in my life.

User Signature + Avatar = Does this tell me about you?

Now being a member of the XDA forum for several Months and reading thousands of threads, I have seen a wide variety of signatures and avatars.
I look at mine as my alter identity as a Pocket PC Geek (as my wife would call it). My signature just has the basic ppc status and the apps I use. My current avatar would reflect that as well. I’ve come across some signatures that are a half page long and say nothing and some with a few words that tell it all and a whole lot of interesting avatars.
So how much do they reflect who you are? Tell us your story…
my avatar - HAL - is the king of all computers of course...
and signature...aeeehm....yes, i'm addicted to Guinness also...
Something to keep in mind about signatures, is that they can be searched on. So, if someone puts Tom Tom in their sig, a search for "Tom Tom" will turn up every post that person made, and not just posts related to TT.
In other words, it can dilute the power of the forum search tool.
Try searching for "U.S.A. - AT&T Wireless" (without the quotes) and you'll see what I mean. That's in mchapman007's sig.

Brian, a little friendly advice here...
You have seriously become what is known as a "Serial Threader". Follow the links in my Signature, read them and understand them. Then come back and be a good forum citizen.
First, you need to post in the proper subforum. Questions about flashing DO NOT belong in the General subforum, they belong in the upgrading subforum.
Next, you need to post your questions in the correct threads (i.e. for the Rom you are using or in a thread that asks the same thing).
Then only time you should create a NEW thread is when there are no existing threads where your question fits. None of your threads fits this requirement.
Finally, be patient. Nobody at XDA-Devs is paid for their time, yes even the Moderation Team is entirely volunteer.
Take to heart the fact that XDA-Devs is just as much about the journey as it is the destination. If you don't care for the how but only want the bling then this is not the right place for you.
Thanks,

Wondering why people asking stupid questions
Wondering why people cant search the forms/google
- is a forum like a wiki Page?
- is a forum like "one for all", "all for non"
- is a forum static or interactive?
I have seen so many flames, RTFM, you "NOOB" read the thread etc
and then people responding to that and so on and on...
And way, believe me it will be a lost cause, new noobs will come and go.
what will seem as a really stupid question for you, can be a hard one to the poster, eg.
I was wondering wtf is CMDA, that we dont have in The Netherlands as in Europe.
So let me google that for you is always a nice reply.
I have bin on XDA a lot, i have bin reading a lot, i know howto google.
but still...
We all need to understand that vinding what you are looking for can be very hard, or impossible, if you dont know where to look or how it is called.
Off course, if some idiot tell a chief that he dos not like his ROM, and will flash a other ROM a flame is in place.
But if a question is about eg, email settings in a thread of a ROM, pls don't replay, unless you can point to a solution or a other topic that will help the person.
\So my 2 cents about this is;
- you cant blame the person, he/she simply don't know better.
- there are so many that cant read (or read English)
- it is a mission impossible to educate ever single one off them, there will be others and or new comers.
- etc
Don't replay, unless you can point to a solution or a other topic that will help the person.
I made this tread so i can link to it in my Signature:
I'll update if I/we need to

[GUIDE] How To Use Search

How To Search XDA Forums
Firstly you need to identify what you need to find.
Now, enter the ROM thread you wish to search & click this button -->
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Now enter your search term -->
Now XDA has done a little of the work for you, you have to do the rest.
IF after exhausting every post that is returned from the search you cannot find the answer. Use the same technique that you just learn't to search the General & Q&A forums.
This time the button looks a little different. Don't let that put you off. Click this one instead -->
Have no fear, you don't think XDA would have an app that wouldn't let you adhere to the rules, surely not.
Just open your XDA App, hit this -->
then this -->
If your lucky enough to have a hardware "Search" button, you can hit that too.
Now if you still don't find what you are looking for. You may post.
Failure to adhere to the XDA Forum Rules may lead to a Warning and/or Infraction.

Would be nice if someone could make it sticky. Every second thread is 2+ time asked before.

I know you have hope that people would read this AND follow it
Wistful thinking indeed
If threads are more commented with there's a search function, the will someday give up to wait for a answer and had to search another forum or use the search function.

Forum Moderators And Dev section Rules - All Must Read -

Hi all,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, my user name is original_ganjaman. I have been assigned to moderate this forum along with eagleeyetom, together we form the moderation team.
Our goal is to keep this forum as clean and easy to find what you need as quickly as possible. I ask you to help us by posting in the correct sections.
