Cheap Ankers Battery 1500/1600mAh - HTC Incredible S

Found these batteries on Amazon. Don't have a increible, but they seem compatable with my Desire S too.
1500mAh - http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0051N1MTY/ref=redir_mdp_mobile
1600mAh - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0052QSTYQ/ref=redir_mdp_mobile
Seem cheap and based on the reviews, they seem to work really well!
See the Sensation 1900mAh - http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/cr/B0053EZJMC/ref=aw_d_cr_electronics
^Check out the reviews there! They seem to be very good for the sensation!
These batteries are dirt cheap, and seem to work well for other devices!
Anyone own one of these?
Can you give your reviews?
Cheers

I have the 1600mAh one, I bought a pair on ebay for $16 US back in Oct or so.
I started using it in the Desire Z and it's also compatible with the Incredible S so I put it in there too.
I've only been using my Incredible S on ICS builds / Virtuous Quattro so I can't comment on battery life really so far.. but on my Desire Z I saw a boost to battery life from ~1300mAh stock HTC battery, I got around 20-24 hours. With this, I get around 30+ hours days with medium-light use on CM7-based roms.
With Virtuous roms I got like 10% less battery (due to Sense)

Nice! Thanks for sharing! So you recommend them?

For $8 a battery and +4-6 hours depending on your use, yes I'd say its definitely a steal. You don't have to shell out $30+ US for the extended version.
I have used it great for 3.5 months. It may be cheaper if you can did it on eBay. Anker's eBay name is laptopmate-USA.
These anker batteries seem high quality types, not the junk china stuff that can softbrick phones. I had that experience on my G1.
Edit make sure it is the white anker. I wouldn't trust anyone else other than HTC!

I appreciate your explanation, thanks!
But what do you mean as white ones only?
I was looking to get a black one, as it would suit my Desire S better.
-------------------------------
Sent from my HTC Desire S

It is this one I have (old pictures, was trying to get ot sold in xda market)
I think all the ankers are white!
PS. I can finally give an opinion on the battery life in the incredible S. I am on second day in virtuous quattro ICS RC2 and currently with 1 day 1 hr with 24% remaining.
Hope that helps!

I'm looking for a good battery for emergency...

So does it feels better than original 1450mAh battery? Im looking for spare right now...

Just ordered the 1600mah one and will report back on it if you want.

oh yeah, forgot to respond back to this thread. Using the 1600mAh anker:
I got about ~20-24 hours on Virtuous Quattro RC3 using light/medium usage, charge is once a day.
With CM7, I get about 30-35 hours with medium/light usage including idling. I could do 40 hours easily if I don't use the phone very much except for very light calls or texting.
-I drain about 2-3% for 8 hours of pure idling (while sleeping).
-I get around -18mAh drain the lowest according to Battery widget.

That's pretty good, i will report on my findings once it turns up.

Here is my latest in Cm7:
The rest of the % usage is mostly Display which is 52%.

I have been using this battery for about a week and found it to be slightly better than the old HTC battery.
This is a good review that i found of the battery for anyone interested in it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6quZ2Dq6gU&list=UUxHizTGir8DURSxkXiJsl1A&index=1&feature=plcp

Is this a notable risk with these aftermarket batteries? Can anyone comment on the likelihood of this occurring with the Anker batteries, or is it a case of 'if it works fine for a few cycles it's not going to softbrick my phone'.
Cant help but feel wary with a product so cheap! Why wouldn't HTC make their batteries to this standard I wonder.

Any review form ARHD's user?

Well I don't think there is a risk of the battery soft bricking your phone however I think that these batteries are made from a cheaper material because even though they have bigger capacity they don't last any longer

Motorola Defy Extended Battery idea

Since the Motorola Defy uses the same battery as the Droid X, you can order a 1750 mah battery here at http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/basi17mtdx.htm for way better life.
anyone tried yet?
Theoretically, then we could also use battery from Motorola Atrix which uses a massive 1900mah. No?
The Droid X battery is a BH5X
The Defy is a BF5X (at least the uk one I have is)
I'm not saying they wont fit the Defy, but it would be nice know from someone who has tried if they do,before stumping up the cash?
There is a BH6X Motorola extended battery
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTbb2f81_HI
This might fit also?
UPDATE
OK it looks like the Droid X battery has flat contacts,
and the Defy has the blades that fits into slots in the battery.
So even though its the same physical size and shape it
won't fit without a bit of serious hacking?
So clever of Motorola to make each of their products so individual and different. You cant help but feel a little special
in owning one. ;-)
BH5X
http://www.trait-tech.com/product/T-BH-5X/
that would be very nice as battery life is allready quite tidy on the defy, dont see why it shouldnt work tho might give it a try
Perhaps we can ask tenfar or another chinese from this forum who know if there exist good batteries in china...

I have this one, arrived in a few days, charger seems to work fine, batteries fit and work but build quality is lacking (pushing battery into charger causes the end of the battery to flex and come away from the inside).
As for time, I've only tried once since I received it the other day and it seems to last about half a day.
Good and cheap for backups, but no good as replacements.

Yes. Very reliable and quality batteries. The do what they are suppose to. They say if something can be done or not, and that is rare. I've seen them say a Desire HD 1800 battery was in the works (like the ones you can find on Ebay), but after trial and error, they scrapped it because it didn't meet their standards. They could have just made it, and made money off it, but they took the high road. I would buy from them anytime.

Firstly, thanks for the link.
Secondly, has anyone ordered/tried one of these yet?
Whilst it's not a huge increase in capacity, an extra ~10% if it doesn't require a larger/distended battery cover wouldn't be too shoddy.
And I'm guessing that since the product page states 'Battery Door - Not Required', that means it uses the standard battery cover?
Just wanted to point out that the original battery is now available on the Motorola EU store online http://www.motorolastore.eu/de/p_motorola_product.aspx?i=207650

EVO Shift 4g 2000mAh extended (slim) battery

I recently ordered the 2000mAh slim battery for my HTC Evo Shift by Galilio. I did a little bit of research and people with different phones (Rhodium, Hero, Supersonic) were saying that they noticed a little bit of a difference between their battery life after using this battery(could just be a placebo affect, who knows?). It advertises as 2000mAh but I know it probably won't be the full 2000mAh. I'm assuming that it's probably just a little bit more than 1500mAh. I just fully charged it and I'm going to see how long is lasts me.

I'm at 29% so far and this is what my battery use says on CM7 RC. I'm also using Scary Kernel with the Scary profile with my max clock speed set to 1.5GHz. This is with moderately heavy usage and a little over 2 hours of talk time. I notice a significant difference overall.

So you've noticed a significant increase in charge time then? Making it worth the $25 or w/e it ends up being.
I think it was worth it.
I didn't look at the up time on that. That's some good battery life for not having the super extended $90 one.
Any chance you can test it on a sense rom. I wonder if it would perform even better on a sense rom since cm7 has that phone-signal problem that drains the battery a bit.
i dont need a signature
Yeah its pretty good especially with my heavy usage. I figure I could have gotten an extra 12 hours on it but I get nervous everytime my battery life dips below 30%.

I figured it was just a larger capacity so it wouldn't have any problems but I was just curious because I'm not familar at all with this sort of question.

in theory, putting a higher capacity battery shouldn't be a problem. what you have to worry about is the quality of the battery itself.

Totally different phone but it uses the same battery, as does the HTC Hero. It seems that HTC likes to use the same battery for most of their phones, someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but it seems that way to me.
I ordered 2 of these myself, one for mine and one for my wife's Shift, so hopefully they work great. Better life has been great as it is, but a little more is not a bad idea.

Wow - so you guys really think that the stock battery at less than half the capacity of the seidio extended battery can get the same results with the same usage. You're stating that on your phone the laws of physics don't apply? What kind of crack are you smoking?
I have the seidio as well. There is no way that the stock battery can compare. It's simply not possible to get 3500 mAh of usage out of a 1500 mAh battery. You might be able to extend the life of your stock battery by crippling your phone with limited functions, apps, and usage, or a better rom that is more efficient, but side by side you will never be able to match the extra capacity. Throw that seidio in your tweaked phone and the life will be doubled.
We were comparing his results to ours. I get that kinda battery life on my stock battery and no I'm not smoking crack

I don't know it looks pretty good to me. You might get a similar screen on time with stock battery, but I doubt you'd have ~20% left and had streamed music(guess from screen shot) for part of the day.
I mean, he still has 20% left to go. And from the looks of it, screen shot and cell standby, he doesn't have a very good signal either

Got a link for a test of a seidio that didn't perform? Perhaps you've been reading reviews of cheap knockoff batteries.
Here's a link to testing that proves just how much extra capacity they do have. Seidio isn't the particular one, but this one appears to be high quality.

Now pardon me while I make sweet love to my battery. With the extra capacity I can set it on vibrate for a long long time.

review:my first note 2 extended battery

Finally get my note 2 first extended battery. I recently found out my Note 2’s battery is not as good as it came with out of the box(used almost a year), so I decided picked up new batteries and I received these two batteries(8500mah/4500mah) a week ago. Though I didn't take any screenshot yet but I must post them later cuz I am really impressed that how much extra juice it gives me! Yesterday I test it with GPS on 2+ hrs, played games for 1hr 40min, watched a movie and huge mounts of streaming videos, musics, etc. Actually this is my normal day usage and I am completely satisfied with the result: from full charge to I went to bed it still remain almost half juice(about 4 hours of screen on time)!
This is the bulky one. They provide a extra case, fits great but I want one look better...

This thing easily beyond all other OEM batteries for my other previous phones in battery life. Sure, it will be a bit expensive than those OEM but I think it already a pretty decend price in such quality. I'm really a heavy user and I hope this battery will be still awesome even after a few charge cycles.
also buy a small one as alternative, but not use yet. MPJ said it works as good as the original one.

i think that it is not even important if it is OEM or not. I also use an extended batt from Mugen, and I am quite happy with it. The only important issues are: whether or not they deliver the extended juice you bought them for, and to be able to recharge and provide enough useage cycles to make them cost effective. And, by the way, from the image I believe it is not a battery, but a "battRery". Cheers.
Phat extended battery is probaly less than 6200mah and that supposedly 4500mah stock battery is more than likely less than the 3100 mah stock battery. Not trying to come off rude, but only companies I ever have trusted were Anker, ZeroLemon, Qcell and even tho its too damn pricy... Mugen.

There is no way that either of these are the mAh they claim.
Both are too small.

Exagerating or not, for example (and God is my witness I do not work for either of them manufacturers) my 6 month old Mugen 6400mAh (as advertised) gives me real extended performance (1) light phone useage as in several phone calls and sms daily - battery lasted 14 days until 10%; (2) average useage as in music player for maybe 6 hours of flac while fishing, some fm radio (3-4 hrs maybe), continous barometer and weather station for 24 hrs, 2 hours of bluetooth gps navigation, double number of calls than in case 1 and longer, 10 minute calls... like... used up appx 20% of battery in 24 hrs; I have not yet used the phone HEAVILY to have relevant info... (can't watch movies while fishing but I'll try) but I believe these figures make me feel that my battery is much MORE powerfull than stock 3200 mAh of the Note2.... I don't know if proportionally (double) stronger to the price differential compard to stock (Mugen is like 100USD) but I really am happy since I can leave for several days without feeling pressurized by the need of recharge.... Cheers.
Further update please.

finally, extended battery

awesome, let us know how the install goes and what battery life is like
between this and the 4.4 ROM coming out, the D4 is starting to really get some longevity behind it

Have you had a chance to test it out yet?
I'm guessing it didn't go so well, what with the having to disassemble the phone and all

I brought from there

That thing is huge!! It would be nice to have the extra battery life but wow.....it's monstrous.
At $90, they are late to the party for Droid 4. I can't imagine shelling out that kind of money on an extended battery when the phone is already showing it's age so clearly. Hopefully there will be a Droid 5 that is a true flagship level device.
Came across this and thought this might be useful to anyone who has bought or is thinking about buying one of these extended batteries: http://www.prweb.com/releases/MugenPower/App2/prweb10466851.htm
I know I saw somewhere someone saying they were having problems with the extended batter not reading correctly. Sounds like this Mugen app might help solve that issues.

Yeah, at this point the D4 is only around until I can find something better (which by the looks of things, might be awhile.)
Had this come out year one, I would have bought it in a heartbeat.
Just bought one. Given that I was ready to try and hunt for some alternative similar sized batteries and hack up a case for it... I'm willing to deal with some pre-made bulk.
Hi
I also bought a Mugen battery but I have a problem with the battery indicator. I am using CM 11 from here and the battery indicator (on the top right) is going down very fast - at the same speed as the old battery. So I installed the app "battery monitor widget" and there it shows 1740mAh and not the full 3800mAh. I already used the Mugen calibration app but nothing changes.
Best wishes

How has your experience been ?
How many hours does the Droid4 last and
How many hours does it take to charge it from 0 to 100% ?
Thanx

Alternate, Cheaper Solution
I didn't see this post about that massive battery before today. Instead, I bought a 2850mah (or so they say) battery that I will link you guys to below. I just installed it, so I'll let it die and then charge it up to 100% and re-calibrate.

Wow Price is right, only $12 free shipping, as long as it doesn't blowup on you.

i don't believe running battery down till phone shuts off, helps that much in calibrating, and I know it's not good for the battery.
