Compatible Bluetooth Mouse? - Motorola Droid Bionic

Has anyone found a compatible bluetooth mouse? I can't find a standalone bluetooth mouse that will successfully pair with my DB (I have tried a Targus Model#: AMB04US and a Think Outside BT Mouse).
Furthermore, all posts I can find relating to the subject are for a keyboard with a built-in trackpad but I hate trackpads. I want to use a standalone bluetooth mouse and don't want to have to buy a dock (I am using the Webtop hack that bypasses the need for a dock).
Thanks in advance.

I successfully used my MS Bluetooth Mouse 5000 on the web-top. But here's the thing that might be causing your issue with the other mice: When I went to pair the mouse with the web-top it was waiting for me to enter a pairing code on the phone screen window and since i had that window behind a Firefox window and I didn't realize it the pairing process kept failing.

Logitech has a mouse out meant for android tablets. Maybe give that one a try?

Thanks for the suggestion. I get the pairing code window, but when I enter 0000, 1234, or 4321 (per Motorola Support's suggestion), they all fail. Targus support says it is because there is no PIN required. So if I enter something then delete the pin I entered (just to get the OK button to activate), it still fails.
I'm glad to hear that the MS Bluetooth Mouse 5000 works though. It appears reasonably priced online. Motorola wants me to go buy their mouse for $40+shipping. Seems a bit steep for something that clearly isn't working due to software incompatibility.

I wanted to close out this topic by giving others the following insight:
The MS Bluetooth 5000 mouse works flawlessly with my Droid Bionic both in standalone mode (nothing attached) and in Webtop mode (with the WebtopMod_Hack that enables you to get to webtop without a dock). I purchased it for $18 from a seller on eBay and found other sellers listing it for $20-$25.
Hope this helps future purchasers out.

Same here...
I'd also like to chime in and say the Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse 5000 works just fine.
It really irks me though, because I have an older (ironically) Bluetooth Mouse 8000 which I really liked because it had an integrated laser pointer and presentation controls on the underside of it. I could never get it to pair.
Microsoft must have made some changes in the device firmware stack because now with the 5000, I could get it to pair to my Bionic using the passkey 0000.
No matter what I tried, the 8000 would not pair.

Identical setup (stock, rooted, webtop mod), identical results! In fact the V470 has worked on DX, Xoom, and now the Bionic for me with no issues.

I have the wireless Apple Mighty Mouse that I use with my Mac and that paired up well with the phone.
I'm running the latest CM9 SELFKANG. The cursor works fine. Scrolling with the trackball is great. Clicking is fine. But it lags and locks up horribly on stock. Anyone else notice that?

Mouse Acceleration?
Do you have any mouse acceleration with the mice you have tried? I just tried to plug in a Logitech MX518 to the USB-port and i have terrible mouse acceleration (when you move the mouse slowly the mouse sensitivity is really low, but when you move the mouse fast the sensitivity is much higher).
I need to find a mouse that does not do this (or a program that will correct it).

I found a solution to this maddening issue!!!
Solution is very simple!
1) Download an app called bluetooth pairing in Play Store, its in japanese but all you need to do is click the magnifying glass icon, then click your device and hit the big blue button that comes next..
2) Disable and enable your bluetooth on the phone, the device is already paired
3) Select the device and it works perfectly.
Discovered this fix accidentally..

I use the Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000. Works awesome no need for a third party program the mouse cursor works fine and you can find tune the mouse cursor in the language and input settings of the settings menu. I really like using the scroll wheel and you can even use right click with in ES File Explorer.
I use this same mouse with my laptop.

Anyone tried a Razer Orochi mouse? That is the bluetooth mouse I want to pick up for my laptop since I hate dongles and am adding a bluetooth transmitter internally to the laptop. Would be nice to have a mouse that will work for both my laptop and for my DB with the lapdock. I know that with the lapdock most USB dongle wireless mice will work but I hate dongles and I know one day I'm going to lose the stupid thing and be SOL.

Logitech Presenter on HTC 4in1 works!

Awesome. In preparation for a new series of presentation that I need to run within our company, I discovered that the Logitech Presenter works flawlessly when stuck in the USB port of the HTC 4in1 cable.
When I was still using AP3, my MS Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000 worked perfectly, even via Bluetooth (without the 4-in-1 cable and without the dongle), as long as I also installed Teksoft Bluemouse.
Now I'm using AP4 and this setup no longer works. At least not flawlessly.
The mousecursor lags: after I stop moving the mouse, the cursor keeps moving for about half a second.
This problem only occurs when i connect the mouse directly via bluetooth. When I use the dongle and the 4-in-1 cable, there's no lag at all. A regular wired mouse also works fine.
Disabling TouchFlo or killing Bluemouse doesn't remedy the situation
Any ideas?
UPDATE:
I'm back on AP3, it's just more stable than AP4.
My mouse is working great again.
WM6.0 bluetooth stack is better for me than the WM6.1 one.
why don't you just use a bluetooth mouse? it works the same as the logitech presenter (without the laser pointer) and the coverage is farther.

Coverage may be better, but useless for real presentations. The presenter lets me adjust volume, blank the screen, set a warning to wind up my presentation 5 minutes before the end etc .... for real presenters, a mouse does not suffice
good point. i stand corrected

Bluetooth Keyboard / Mouse

Not having much luck at locating a bluetooth keyboard and mouse (compact in size) that is proven to work with the HD2. Any help? Thanks.
I know this keyboard works ...

I use a full size apple bluetooth keyboard personally ...
Have not seen one , but I don't think a mouse will work at all, don't think the phone has mouse cursor support ...
MyMobiler
I use MyMobiler when I am at my computer. It allows me to use my computer to type and my mouse to click on things.

MyMobiler is so cool. While it doesn't replace a blue tooth keyboard and mouse, to be able to control your phone from the PC is mostly there. And it's free
Thanks for the link.
Well, there was one bluetooth mouse (regular small mouse, with scroll wheel and all) that, besides working on a regular PC with standard BT HID profile, came with a software driver for Windows Mobile, and one could use it with any WM device, so I assume it would work with the HD2.
It is the Stowaway BT Mouse, from Think Outside, the same company that made various full-size fold-up BT keyboards (which also work on any WM device).
Unfortunately, Stowaway was bought up by IGo (who mainly makes universal AC adaptors for laptops), and shortly thereafter, they shelved the whole product line. (Pretty dumb to buy up a company, then shelve its products, especially not being a competitor.) (And with the explosion in smartphones, I think that could be a growing niche, especially the keyboards. (Of course, now they would need to expand support for Iphone, Android, Blackberry, etc., as well as WM.)
So, that mouse and its software has been discontinued. However, I would bet that you could still find them on Ebay, Craigslist, etc. Look for Stowaway Bluetooth Mouse.

Connect Mouse to the Galaxy Tab? Please help!

I was wondering if it possible to connect wireless (2.4GHz Micro Receiver) mouse Logitech V400 to Galaxy Tab.
Mouse in question is this
http://www.everythingusb.com/logitech_v400_laser_cordless_notebook_mouse.html
Any app that can simulate the receiver dongle?
No luck - I think
The Tab does not have either an IR or Radio transmitter that can send/receive a 2.4Ghz signal.
Why not get a bluetooth mouse? - mine works fine with the tab
Software to simulate a wireless receiver dongle? Um, no
As Bert says, you can just a bluetooth mouse, or you can try and track down the USB socket adaptor that Samsung was supposed to release for the SGT. I don't know if it's ever actually officially been released but if you want to try and use what is essentially a standard USB device, it might be your only option.

Nah... it's not possible. Just get a decent Bluetooth mouse... but check first if your ROM has the necessary HID support... I think the Verizon ROM makes problems in that case...
Just ask a friend who has a bluetooth mouse if you may try it, so you can be sure if the purchase of a new mouse (they are rather cheap though) pays off.
Just don't try Apple's Magic Mouse. I failed at pairing (Euro Tab, unlocked, unbranded, stock ROM)
T-Mo tab takes bluetooth mouse and keyboard. As soon as you pair, the cursor shows up. It's actually quite good.
Magic mouse to samsung gtab p1000
I was able to connect an apple magic mouse and Hid bt keyboard. The keyboard works great, the mouse scrolls and all, but no mouse pointer!;( im using a CM7 beta kang ROM. Ive seen posts for themouse pointer for cm7 but only for the evo4g, cant find anything for thep1000. If anyone knows please tell me, i would donate for this thank you.
wait, a magic mouse? I thought it would only run in Mac OSX and Windows!

Xoom/Tab keyboard?

My apologies if this was answered before, but do the Xoom or Galaxy Tab branded bluetooth keyboards work well with the NC? My thinking is that since they're designed to work with android, they'll be much easier to pair and maximize functionality with the NC (dedicated android function keys, adapting to orientation shifts, etc). I have a Microsoft bt keyboard I've tried and it's not convenient for me. Anyone tried either of these two yet?

THIS THREAD would most likely answer your question
Thanks for the referral, and I have checked out that thread a couple of times. Unfortunately, it looks like no one there has tested a xoom or tab keyboard. Anyone able to confirm if that purchase would be worthwhile?

From another post I made:
I still have problems with bluetooth keyboards, runing nightly 126 and 131. I have a Xoom bluetooth with a modified qwerty.kl file to enable most of the android special keys to work. The three annoying issues with Xoom keyboard is that it will stop working while typing long messages, have to hit power button on it to restart; a key will stick kkkkkkkkkk; and not easy to get out of pop-up for accent keys. You do not see these problems? The best feature is that I can leave power adapter plugged in with bluetooth.
When I use my Logitech wireless usb combo keyboard and mouse I only seem to get the pop-up accent box. The negative is even with a y cable it does not seem to charge nook while in host and v-bus mode. The combination arrow and keyboard interface is really slick.
Anybody else notice these flaws with bluetooth and usb keyboards?
Edit: At this point I can not recommend the Xoom keyboard. My Logitech wireless usb combo LX 710 Keyboard and LX 7 Cordless Laser Mouse both work with transmitter plugged into male micro female usb adapter. I prefer the usb combination.
Just found this negative post about Xoom keyboard. Exact same problems that I have.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14150996&postcount=70
Edit 2: Maybe I was too harsh on the Xoom keyboard. I changed the batteries, seems better. When you long press a key is when you get accents. A feature not a flaw. Also after 30 seconds of no typing it sleeps, press key for a second to wake it back up. Another feature.
Bluetooth Mouse with Xoom or other Keyboard
Now that I changed the batteries and researched the long press and battery saver sleep feature for inaction, I have been trying to find a bluetooth mouse that seems to work well with the Xoom keyboard. Any input on this?
If you have a different bluetooth keyboard is there a bluetooth mouse happens to work well with your bluetooth keyboard?
I just tried out my logitech BT laser mouse with my logitech tablet keyboard for ipad with beautiful results. Even had a flash drive connected to my powered hub and could read it at the same time. This host mode option has made my nook a new machine. Now to get the webcam working.....

I was hoping this was true. Over in the usb host thread Moshe posted a picture of his setup. We discussed the mouse being bluetooth but found out that the logitech laser mouse is a wireless usb mouse. Still only one report from TheAmazingDave of quality concurrent use of bluetooth mouse and bluetooth keyboard. I can get them concurrently but when the keyboard kicks into sleep mode it locks up the bluetooth mouse pointer and force a hard reboot.
@ Dal and Verygreen. Do you think since the bluetooth mouse and bluetooth phone work on phone concurrently, that eventually we will be able to make them work on the nook concurrently?
Edit: I have loaded two apps Null Keyboard v2 and BlueInput. Not sure what they changed but I do not have the concurrent problem any more. The BlueInput only finds my Bluetooth mouse but does not connect. It does not find the Bluetooth Keyboard at all. The Null Keyboard v2 is suppose to hide the virtual android keyboard. This response is the first time that I have seen the Keyboard work correctly.
Spoke to soon, Xoom keyboard went to sleep and when I pressed key to wake back up, virtual keyboard showed up also.

Mouse question

I'm having an odd issue with my nook hd+ running 10.1. I have a Chinese bluetooth mouse (no pairing number) which pairs and works quite well, but if the screen times out the mouse stops working and the nook doesn't seem to recognize it again. I have to unpair the mouse, reboot, and repair the mouse (obviously a pain).
1) is there some easy fix?
2) why is it happening?
Have you tried using different bluetooth accessories with success or failure? Have you tried using that mouse with a different bluetooth host?
I have a bluetooth logitec keyboard that seems to work without error, but I'm not using it 24/7.
Has anyone tried using the Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse with CM or Carbon?
It works fine with my zagg keyboard (same hardware as the logitech, though the drivers seem to be different), a bluetooth receiver, and a couple other items. The mice (e-bay generic bluetooth mice from China) work fine with Windows 7 and worked very well when I had a Samsung tablet running Ice Cream Sandwich. As I said, they pair but the HD Plus just stops responding to them. I've had Carbon Mod and CWM 10.1 on it and the same thing happens.
I'll try a namebrand bluetooth mouse at some point, but it's just sort of odd. In the meantime, I'm finding that with a touchscreen and a stylus, a mouse isn't exactly necessary. cuttinig and pasting's really pretty easy with a stylus on both Kingsoft Office and Textmaker (it's a pay app but it's been by far the best word processor I've found for Android).
