Then navigate to /system/lib/egl ..
There you will find a lib file named "libq3dtools_adreno200.so" .
Long press on the file name and click delete !
Then move to /system/lib/hw ..
Check whether all the files below are present ..
-copybit.msm7k.so

Sounds quite interesting. How is your mkv 480p video playback?
Sent from my GT-S5570 using XDA App

Itz Hard !
For an QVGA resoultion screen its quite too hard to play the 480p videos flawlessly !
you can try maximum of VGA or 360p videos to get an flawless playback !
Get an Nice Video Conveter to get good quality of videos at QVGA or VGA Resolution !
I Personally Recommend you Any Video Converter Or iWisoft Video Converter !

How fast are they when it comes to video conversion, I would hate to spend 30min converting a twenty minute episode. Ow and by conversion do you recommend changing the resolution to qvga compatibility or should I just simply convert to another format like .avi. Which path would you recommend considering: quality of playback, size on disk, time taken to convert.
Wish samsung had the sense to bump up the screen a little to maybe hvga or vga resolution considering the 3inch screen. It was quite a let down coz qvga has been around for a long time and they should be focusing on phasing it out. That way the galaxy mini would have been a phone to reckon with in the market for a very long time.... Am gonna quit rumbling now.

What about battery endurance?

WELL !!
If you want a faster video conversion then you will loose the video quality !
Each video converter is has a default values to balance the speed and quality !
As you are in need of faster video conversion I suggest SPEEDY VIDEO CONVERTER .. Its video conversion is faster with a minute quality loss ..
Convertering a video with the resolution of phone's display is always the best for playback on low and mid end mobiles !
Thats why i said you to convert in QVGA resolution as we are mini users !
To improve the Quality YOu can increase the video bitrate.. But be aware it will cause the increase in the size your output video file ..
Formats doesnt matter for android as it has got vast number of video players which can play almost all format lik mx video player !

I have cm7 so I checked, it has all the files from above but one, and I don`t know mine works just fine, I can`t complain.

I made it, but everything is the same. Maybe I did something wrong?
Sent from my piece of **** using Tapatalk.

well it did no damage on cm7 but neither did it increase performance, I noticed that power amp player stopped working after these tweaks. Took care of that by deleting scripts. Everything back to way it was. Once again these tweaks don`t work on CM7, at least not on tjstile kernel version, and kang cyanogen 7.1.0.

risky huh?
i'm using cm7...maybe try it later.

a crazy problem about the kaiser's video playing

so it does! the video is much better
and after that i found a crazy problem is :
my kaiser plays a video while the keyboard is pulled out , the quality is worse than that while the keyboard is not pulled out,the same video file, the same player and the same setting~
how incredible !
its not just my personal feeling, i made a benchmark ,the result told me while the keyboard is pulled out the video's average speed is 20% or more lower than that while the keyboard isnt pulled out
any bro have the same problem?
and forgive my broken English, just want to share that with all u greatest guys

glad i could help! the qualcomm 7200 chip uses GDI. remember that for future purposes, whether it be gaming or video or anything.
its funny i dont have one of these but could help anyway. i sure wish AT&T would release the thing soon enough!
hey wait, did you say when the keyboard is out it still has problems? or was that fixed too?
Ok and how do I tell Windows media player to use GDI?
You cant (I dont know), but you can use TCPMP (just another free Media Player).

what kind of idiot makes a phone with wm6 but cant play any video with the included videoplayer wmp? smart move. Why didnt they include a videoplayer that works?
I'm using the Core Player and I tried "GDI" vs "Raw Frame Buffer" and the benchmark tells me;
GDI=Ave Speed of 135%
RawFrameBuffer=Ave Speed of 168%
Guess I'll stick with Raw, it plays my Divx vids perfectly, but I encode mine at 320x240 just for small gear like this and iPods. They look very sharp and clear at these modest rates.
I also tried RawFrameBuffer with the Keyboard Open=163%
glad to see u all greatest guys replied my thread!
and many thanks to awesome bro mikeeey & RemE! you rock!
i just tested & compared RawFrameBuffer with GDI
the average speeds r following:
RawFrameBuffer (with keyboard opened):125.11%
RawFrameBuffer (with keyboard closed):122.87%
GDI (with keyboard opened):75.90% 囧
GDI (with keyboard closed):110.29%
the result above tells:
the quality (GDI) is satisfied, and the RawFrameBuffer is better than GDI~~
my crazy problem in floor 1 seems just appearing in GDI video output
and thank all u greatest guys again!
what are you guys benchmarking with?
There is a built-in benchmark tool in TCPMP and Core Player
when in portrait mode, the video will be 240x180 if it is 4:3.
When in landscape it is 320x240
Maybe because it is pushing more pixels in landscape?
Mind you, in portrait surely it is having to do a rescale, but the figures would suggest that drawing the pixels chews more CPU than manipulating them.
This would seem to hold true for a system without a GPU.

aha! i shall run some of my own to add to the collective benchmark pool
ive already thrown some extreme divx's at it and i can say that the cpu is the bottleneck, not rastering the output - as it stutters on visually complex scenes (scenes that require a fair whack of cpu to decode)

x1 video performance worse than same specd htc devices

hello all
i have a standard xvid clip (640x272) that can only play @ 20.8fps on core player(stock rom) (with itje 10.1 ROM i get 21.3fps)
the same clip plays @ 23.8fps on the touch HD and 24.3 diamond 2(stock ROMs)
i tried so many other clips as benchmarks and its evident that the x1 is constantly %18-%20 slower than other HTC devices with identical specs (cpu and resolution)
can anyone explain this phenomena? i sure hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel
What do you have installed on it? Perhaps some background processes, like panelmanager?
come to think of it, its not just the video that is constantly slower on the x1. its the whole ROM in general (navigating between various wm programs, switching between applications....etc) is clearly much slower on the xperia even though it has the same CPU speeds (just look at an video review of the tp2 or td2 in youtube and you can clearly see how they are much faster)
even the fastest x1 cooked roms are noticeably slower than the HD,td2 and tp2 stock roms
hope SE can do something about that and i hope and i hope our chefs can eventually close the performance gap.

its actully a fresh flash (itje 10.1) with only core player installed now not even emails or contacts are added yet
do you get better performance on reasonably good quality XVID dvdrips (close to 640x272 resolutions)
What coreplayer version did you use to test? I can try installing the same and see what I get. Also, what settings?
Same problem here, videos always cease in the first seconds.
By the way, which coreplayer version is the best to use for xperia?
im not facing a bug like F-Styla as it does not suffer from the stuter i just have constant low performance compared to HD and td2
i just benchmarked the video on an ancient HTC macian and i got 39fps!!!!!!! (on qvga resolution though)
using full version of coreplayer 1.3.2

Since I discovered this great app (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=467590) never had a problem viewing any video. Great resolution, small size of files, no lags.
However, I heard somewhere that coreplayer can't use hw acceleration on X1. Do not know if that's true also for HTC, but that could explain the performance differences

reencoding videos is not really a solution if you ask me
-my understanding that full qtv support is coming with ver2.0
my problem is that why the heck is the x1 so much slower (in everything)than identically specd devices like the HD. is there an easy way to varify that we are runiing at the FULL 528mhz and overclock in case we are not

Somewhere here in this forum I read that actually the X1 is NOT running at full speed. I know, I have not been really precise... but with a little bit of search you can find out the thread I am talking about.
I think all HTC devices except the original XDA have video sync/playback issues. There are tons of threads on this. Get yourself a PMP to enjoy quality videos.
X1 runs at 400 mhz currently, although the processor is in fact 528 mhz. The downgrade is made in order to save power and lower heat levels. You can check the current speed by installing an app like HomeScreen++.
I would like to see what the X1 can do with the full 528 mhz, but I haven't seen any solution for it so far.
I enjoy perfect quality after I downloaded the app from the front page.

I experienced the same slowness using Coreplayer, I am using v1.2.5.
After I put a non Touch-flo on the SEX1 I did not have a slow Coreplayer anymore, so I would suggest try a different ROM and see if the problem is still there.
I am using gtrabs wm6.5 rom and I have no problem playing video on Coreplayer without reencoding the video.

Thanks! That works to make it feel quite a bit snappier (I know its not scientific, but haven't benchmarked anything)
I am also having a video problem, rather than make new thread I post it here.
Well, not a single HD video plays on my Xperia now, Coreplayer tries to but its so choppy and insane which I now know doesn't use hardware acceleration.
Now after converting the video with Touch HD video converter software, WMP says "The source filter for this file could not be loaded."
I also found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=365381
But still nothing at all.
Any solutions? Must I change ROMs to play HD videos?

FPSECE on i8000

Hi every1..
Has any one here tried FPSECE on Omnia i8000..
If yes.. then can some 1 plz give a instruction guide step by step.. from installation to configuration.. and key mapping..
i hope that i can put external link...
www .youtube.com/watch?v=RCqfG5DleZY
on Omnia2 it doesn't run so smoothly...
Thanks for that link.. I have checked various tube videos running PSP games.. I am actually looking for a setup guide for our Omnia..
fpsece is the best app ever developed for winmo
i have fpsece .10 on my i920 working quite well, maybe not as well as a 1ghz snapdragon but whatcha gonna do... anyway installation is easy just install the cab, load some roms on ur phone or card and place a good bios file in the bios folder in /program files/ fpsece/ bios. setting up virtual keys should be pretty simple just open the app click on the virtual keys tab, click where u want it on screen and choose which button u want to place there. fpsece is the best app around for winmo and version .10 is leaps and bounds ahead of previous versions. if u like it u should definately donate to the devs., plus u will recieve some extra features like save and load states. if u have any more questions or problems i'll be glad to answer as best i can, there's also tons of support and advice at fpsece.net/forum2
Thanks every1..
I got it to run on my Omnia 2.. was unable to change to potrait from landscape mode.. but workaround it using Graytor..
However when I play Tekken 3 the FPS is just 14.. very slow..
NE1 knows how to increase FPS.. my CPU is set to high performance...
hey guys,
is there a way to increase FPS..!
Most of my games run on low FPS. I have seen videos for Omnia 1 and the fps is more than I am getting it on my Omnia 2..
Because Omnia 1 processor/drivers are faster
Omnia 2 has 800mhz processor which is faster than Omnia 1
Can i Increase the Glyph cache to get more FPS..
I mean increase Glyph cache to 4194304 from HKLM\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE\limit
Will it work..?

Any news on a fix for our video playback problems?

hey people ive spent weeks trying to play a smooth video on my x1 so far everything i done had failed whether it was wmp or tcpmp or even coreplayer, read almost every post tried almost every converter and pretty still stuck seems as if my old tytn plays videos smoother so i can only hope coreplayer releases a new version soon! if anyone knows anything please post thanks

im using the pheonix rom build 56502 WWE. is this tcpmp any better than the latest coreplayer? because so far coreplayer played videos better than wmp and tcpmp although it was still laggy maybe it's my drivers but im using the omina driver and get a better benchmark than the rest with sktools 792 to be exact
i've been using the video encoder provided in the sticky and it has by far surpassed all other video encoders that i've used. it takes advantage of the hardware acceleration in the X1 but the only video app that uses it is WMP and the Media Panel.

I don't know bout you but using that encoder takes 6 to 7 hours and sometimes it freezes, I don't have the time and patience for that. @ Zeyn Karim I have a collection of video drivers that might maybe improve your performance. Not 100% sure it will but I guess it won't hurt to try.
tried and failed with that converter lol even waited a whole night to encode only to be dissapointed the next morning.
anyway thanks guys for the support and drivers will run couple tests and let ya know the results hopefully this will solve my problem not sure why but my media player doesn't seem to run as good as everyone claims it does, i should remove the omina driver lets hope that's the problem
tried every driver and no luck! looks like i'll never be able to watch anything on my xperia! so i give up! stupid coreplayer! what's taking them so long! been reading up and looks like they rather work on the stupid UI instead of focus on HW support! i don't care if coreplayer looks crap! only thing i want is a smooth crisp video is that too much to ask! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Yeah I'm kinda disappointed as well. I was watching a lot of videos on my old wm 5.0 smartphone but the Xperia fails. I activated "Raw FrameBuffer" and videos got smoother - still don't think thats what you are looking for...(only tried out fairly low quality movies...)

This version of TCMP I get video playback in GDI mode very smooth I watched Shutter Island on it with no lag.
Yeah,my old tytn may not have been the best phone in the world but atleast i could watch some of my favourite shows whenever i felt like.
thanks viper89 will test out the tcpmp, glad to see youve been watching something on your x1,can you please state which encoder you used and are you also using the omina driver?

I actually didn't encode the video, I don't watch movies that much so I really don't bother with encoding and the one that is stickied takes ages to encode . The video drivers that are installed in my phone are:Chainfire-HD2-3D-Driver-Patch-2.0( not sure if this has any effect in are phones),Chainfire-TG01-D3DM( not sure if this any effect either lol),Driver_Ati d3d, SJ SamsungOmnia_Driver_D3D and optxperiabeta02( It makes the sound in the X1 louder but it also said that it changes the video driver to.)
Wow you installed all of them! what's your benchmark with sktools? and does the "optxperiabeta02" damage your speaker in any way? if not could you please post it thanks,Is it a noticable difference?

My Sktool benchmark is: Integer 331, Floating Point 7.71, Draw Bitmaps 656. Also a important fact is it also depends on your rom Stock or none Stock and if it's 6.1 or 6.5 and if your running Sense 2.5 in your rom(which I am), so my stats most likely would be higher in a stock 6.1 rom. I've had my phone for 8 month and been using optxperiabeta02 for 7 month and no speaker damage. And it makes a hell of a noticeable difference lol.
my benchmark is integer 331, floating point 7.47 ,ram access 1519 , draw bitmaps 800 , main write 11070 ,main read 17066 still have no idea why im having video problems.by the way im running 6.1 with manilla 2.5 sense

Hmm draw bitmaps 800 nice. It might because your on 6.1 oppose to my 6.5. Your still having videos problems playing videos in GDI mode in TCMP?

showthread.php?t=684106 havnt got a chance to test yet but will try as soon as i get time did you try kinoma play? im interested to find out hows the playback. damn coreplayer if only they would support our HW id would be so awesome!
Guys there is really a simple answer to this thread: There is only one solution for decent video playback on Xperia X1. Convert your movies to mp4 (h264 avc codec, max. resolution 800 * 480, bitrate 600 kbps) and play them in WMP or Media Xperience Panel (I prefer the latter). You can either use the converter provided by xda (projection) or any other software that supports this codec. There might be some differences in duration of a convertion and it is definitely dependant on your computer's specs (processor) but generally converting videos is a time consuming task and 6 - 7 hours isn't really inappropriate for entire movies (2-3 hours). Everything else won't work. Coreplayer, Pocketplayer, Kinoma etc. do not support hw acceleration and thus 480 * 320 is the maximum resolution that can be played back using those players. If you want high quality movies (what is definitely possible on the Xperia X1) you will have to face convertion to the right format. There aren't any drivers that do miracles and there aren't any insider tips. Only convertion will do the trick.
thank you altae for those bad/good news
Maybe I'm missing something. I've never had any problems playing videos or movies on my X1. Just rewatched Princess Blade on it the other day, in fact.
The truth can sometimes be hard But let's stay serious: It's a pity that WMP or Media Xperience Panel do not support more codecs especially the very widely used xvid/dvix codecs.
But the positive news are: It's definitely possible to play high quality movies as long as they are in the right format. And for all the short videos you would like to show a friend you have always the possibility to play divx/xvid movies in 480 * 320 which isn't that bad for this purpose.

Collection of scripts for Dell Streak 7

First off I take no credit for these scripts out as i have only copied and tested on MY device therefor will take no responsibility if they do not work with your device or anything happens to it. I found this list of scripts for my Xperia PLAY, took out the ones that would apply to the dell streak 7 and applied. All scripts have ## above them mentioning what each one does, you do NOT have to include these as they are just explaining what each code does.
TO APPLY:
1. Copy code below into a notepad/wordpad document naming it Tweaks.txt
Code:
## Raise JPG quality to 100%
ro.media.enc.jpeg.quality=100
##Render UI with GPU (instead of CPU)
debug.sf.hw=1
##Helps scrolling responsiveness
windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=150
##Disable debugging notify icon on statusbar
persist.adb.notify=0
##Increase overall touch responsiveness
debug.performance.tuning=1
video.accelerate.hw=1
##Net speed tweaks

Have you seen imrovements with these scripts?
I can certainly try and it seems it would be very easy to revert... I just wanted to know if it's worth trying. Since you mentioned that you had applied these scripts to your DS7, your comment and insight would be appreciated.
Yeah I noticed the text below apps is easier to read. Little icons that were boxey before became a little smoother. Video loading is clearly internet speed but maybe someone doing a benchmark test could confirm a improvement or not from stagefreight?

When you edit your original one and save it the system automatically backs it up under build.prop.bak

Anybody able to confirm these tweaks play nice with ICS?
I am having troubles "copy and past"ing to the build.prop within the ICS beta 4.
Edit:
I had to copy the system/build.prop over to my computer to add the lines of code, and then copied back to sd card and replaced system/build.prop.
is working fine with ics beta 4. there are a few lines of code already included in the original build.prop, but i just copied and pasted and everything is fine. do see a difference in responsiveness and the video quality and jpg quality are better.
This work only for 2.2 builds or does it work on Honeycomb ones as well?
As for the xperia play.. that could be useful too, I have the FXP rom installed. Never know what tweaks to do tho heh.
