[Q]How to dump previously unreleased firmware without installing anything on the Mini?
Hello,
I've been following xda-developers for over a month reading stickies, guides in stickies and searching for threads for threads. It's been useful indeed for my first Mini.
Now the question is: Is there any way to backup a firmware / rom withouth installing any software on the Mini?
I've noticed the firmware in my brand new Mini is not listed in droidangel (recommended visit in a sticky)
therefore I think it might be a good idea to back it up and share.
Backing up using CWM implies installing CWM in the Mini. So then maybe the firmware backup up would NOT be a pristine byte-to-byte copy of the factory-default firmware? Since intalling CWM would imply modifying the Mini as it is.
I know, this sounds psycho, to a certain extent, but I'd like to know beforehand.

Europe firmware
Country: UK
and
Provider firmware

However, there's no firmeware matching phone S5570XWKQ5 or csc S5570YOGKQ3.

i have a galaxy note once rooted i then found out about (ICS) so i came on this site and found a post with a bunch of stock roms on it and used one to flash my phone back to a stock unrooted state its all working 100% fine except one thing. i can not update my firmware through the phone and-or kies. It says your device does not support software upgrading via kies any help would be much appreciated

try to flash a rom from the category Latest Not Directly Rootable - see post#2 & #3 that says open (europe or another country).Yours is locked in a network from what i understand.Try a OPEN ROM,it is not locked and it should work.

i have galaxy ace gt-s5830OKAORA fully unlocked.
pda s5830bvkt4 phone s5830bvkt4 csc s5830orakt1 gingerbread 2.3.6 now i want to unbrand it from orange and turn it back to stock can i flash it using the (United Kingdom / Ireland - 2011 September - 2.3.6 - S5830XWKPY - S5830XEUKP1 ) firmware on the sammobile.com firmware page. If i can what is the best way of going about this. thanks in advance

now on sam mobile they have two files within a few days of each other with exact same details:

Go to that site and download the firmware of your region what have or your phone originally what have.and flash it from odin.these are the firmware that unrooted and original files.
But why you have to that firmware?
I mean many boatware and some unwanted files are in that firmware which makes your phone a little slow down.
Try stocklite 7 its a stock rom and much better battery life and performance.

My wife likes the stock xeu firmware it was a one package full write and phone is working lovely, i had a look at myth but not ready to start playing with roms just yet. i just wanted to know if the xeu firmware i flashed is definately 2.3.3 , i managed to answer my own question as i download both files 2.3.6 and 2.3.3 and did a binary compare and both files were identical so i guess the xeu version of 2.3.6 hasn`t been released yet.
please i need multiple file rom which contain csc and pit and modem and boot and pda files for galaxy mini 2 s6500 because i face bootloop with samsung logo problem ,thanks in advance
I had this problem few days ago. You just need to do factory reset, but you can't enter recovery so here is tutorial.
1. Go here and download SDK: http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
2. Extract it anywhere
3. Run SDK Manager.exe
4. Wait it to load packages
5. Check Android SDK Tools and Android SDK Platform-tools
6. Click Install Packages
7. Exit SDK Manager
8. Turn your phone on and connect it to computer (USB)
9. Now go to sdk folder and right click on platform-tools and click on Open Command Window Here
10. Write adb and press enter
11. Write adb reboot recovery and press enter
12. Wait till phone enters recovery and do factory reset
That should work

I've done this and it works, my phone was booting and I wrote adb reboot recovery and it worked. Try.
if you can go into download mode then you must be able to go into recovery mode just try
