After restoring apps with data Wi-Fi is not working on CM7 or CM7 based ROMs - Samsung Galaxy Mini

I tried install old CM7 version but the same s***... Tried to restore via CWM and Titanium Backup. But no difference - Wi-Fi is not working. When I back to EmaNon it again works. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem. To fix it reflashed my phone to KPK firmware. Put Clockword Mod. CLeared user data and cache and installed CM7. It was fixed.

Help!! hanged at boot after restoring Nandroid backup!

My O2X had some problems recently and I decided to use "fix permissions" in the CWM recovery to try to solve it. Before this, I did a Nandroid backup using the latest ROM Manager (with CWM recovery 3.0.2.8).
After the backup, I did "fix permissions", then reboot. But most of the texts on the screens and menus are missing!! that's very strange. Luckily I had my backup.
So, I reboot into recovery and then did a complete restore. But the worse thing happened... the phone hanged at the boot screen with the LG logo (before the animation). It just stopped there... I tried to restore some earlier backup as well, it's the same!
I'm totally lost, because CWM recovery had been so reliable before... I had used Paul's version many times before and it worked without problem... is the newer version buggy?
Anyone know what's wrong? and how to recover??
Dunno whats wrong but if you want ur phone to work again use smartflash.

It happens when restoring CM from backup as well, the solution then is to reflash after restoring.

you mean reflashing the baseband?
No, the cm zip file. Obviously not what you want if you're on a stock ROM though.
But even if you're on a stock ROM, you can download and reflash a stock ROM over the top .

Thanks all for your kind advice. I have flashed the whole firmware and restored an older backup.
And i have reverted to use v10a rom as the v10d and the new baseband seems causing a lot of issues.

Changing the ROM doesn't touch the baseband. You need to flash that separately.

[Q] Installing MIUI on CM7

So, I am using CM7 on my i9000 and I want to simply try the MIUI.
I have just wanted to make a nandroid backup, install MIUI zip and then restore back to CM7
Will it work, or MIUI uses the custom Kernel?

Just do a data wipe and flash Miui via cwm.
To go back, wipe data again, install the new cm7 nightly, then restore your nandroid.

But doesn't nandroid backup EVERYTHING, including the rom itself? So, shouldn't I restore, and then update the Nightly?

Restore from Backup via recovery

I wanted to try different kernel so I preformed full backup via recovery. Now when I restore from backup, all apps restores however data doesn’t (i.e. whatsapp) . I have also tried previous (3) backups and same problem with them as well.
Any suggestion what I need to do?
FYI:
ROM- Froyo Cream Sandwich FBL (FroyobyLaszlo)

Thanks for your reply.
I currently have ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.0.7
As far as I know, this is the latest version.
Is there a way you can download another version for your device?

Are you trying with cwm flashable .zip file for Notecore?
I hate it when that happens
But i usually try and clear all caches, and try again... And then i try to install what ever was on the phone, before the problem arose...

Turn On the Airplane Mode
Switch off your phone
Take the battery out for a minute or two
Put it back and switch it ON
Wait for everything to load
Turn off the airplane mode
This will sort out your deep sleep problem

I am tqlking about nandroid backup in CWM. For titanium backup you have to buy the pro version.

For a nandroid backup you have to boot into recovery(CWM) and under backup and restore you can backup the rom as well as applications on your external SDCard.
There is no need to use Titanium if you are using CWM.
However if you don't know how to backup with CWM and your device is rooted then you can use Titanium Backup Pro to take backup of System+Apps Data.
got it and now have done with backup now what next and i have speed mod kernel will its go with king droid rom

It's good that you have backup now, but why don't you download stock firmware as backup of ROM and use titanium backup for backup of apps? And yes, you can flash Kingdroid rom with Speedmode, it will be then replaced by the kernel you will choose in Aroma while flashing kingdroid.

To go back to exactly the way things were, yes. You can still back up your apps from CM10 and restore them on a clean CM9 flash.
I don't need any app. Tried to install a fresh cm9, but the tablet won't start: it remain on boot animation...

Did you wipe everything: /system, /data, and /cache? (Just making sure.) Did you check the md5sum of the CM9 ROM?
yeap, wipe everything, installed fresh cm9, checked md, but still problems..

Could just be a bad flash. Did you try reflashing? You're sure you're using a CM9 version for tenderloin? (Just covering all the bases.)
