[EI22] CRT Screen Off - Epic 4G Themes

As the title says, this enables the CRT screen off animation for EI22.
Just download and flash.

With LogsProvider fix (Check here or post #3 for info) (Deodexed roms only!):
http://www.mediafire.com/?vy97hhzha5zj43s

Just flashed the CRT only zip - works just fine, thanks!
FYI, I'm EI22 via the nandroid system restore method (so I'm not deodexed), EI22 modem via flashing EC05 and then flashing the modem only zip.

I just flashed the .zip without the LogsProvider fix and it worked perfectly, no issues or FC's or anything of the sort. I got to EI22 by Odin-ing to stock EC05, one-click-rooting that, and then flashing xBTx's pre-rooted and deodexed EI22 .zip (before he added the GPS fix to it).
Big thanks for throwing this up so quickly!
Also, for those who may be a bit confused and not know what the LogsProvider fix is, our Epics by default save SMS messages to the system log file, which is considered by Samsung to be a good thing for some reason. The CRT-off .zip that includes the LogsProvider fix will disable this behavior, while the one without it simply adds the CRT-off animation and does nothing else.

do i need to be rooted to use this? i came from the ota update.

Technically, no, but you do need CWM Recovery (purple) or ACS Recovery installed to be able to flash the .zip, and you may as well root while you're at it.
qbking77 has a video up on how to root and get CWM installed from the vanilla EI22 OTA update. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWOLEXqAeCc

Well actually couldn't you just rename the zip update.zip nd flash it from stock recovery ...?

Not sure, but doesn't the update need to be signed for that to work?

Something I have installed broke my TW Launcher, just noticed it today since I dont use TW launcher. One possibility was this mod. Anyone else using this mod have a TW launcher that FCs?
Edit.....it definitely WAS NOT this mod. This is an excellent mod, thank you.

All it does is change a variable to false..., doubt it would break a launcher...

OP,
Thanks & just letting you know I had issues after flashing the Logs Provider fix and CRT zip myself. After the phone rebooted I didn't have root access any more, apps on SD showed as not installed, that were before flashing this zip. After rebooting my phone 1 more time, it cleared up and went back to normal (rooted). So for other users if you run into problems, just try rebooting your phone again.

Just wanted to say thanks. Love the crt. Flashed with log and all works great.

hello thank you for the app, i love the crt off but now when i hold the power button to access phone menu on the twlauncher or any launcher the phone reboots. Can anyone help.

[MOD][KA7]AOSP Lockscreen[Devs4Android][01/22/2011]

This is the AOSP lockscreen for the newest KA7 leak that Krylon360 & Chainfire found. I think Whitehawkx was going to do this, but I got a little board.. so I did it.
This has only been tested on the deodexed version, if you are on the odexed version, be aware this may not work.
I still need to fix the menu to unlock bug (It is really easy to fix, I will do it early tomorrow)
Anyways... You guys are going to want the download link, but first.. Please read the disclaimer..

I flashed this under the assumption that Trigger v1.1 was a deodexed rom... I still think it is, but if it isn't someone please correct me. It went into a boot loop right after installing it, so I let it continue to loop for a while then pulled the battery and tried again. It booted all the way up this time, but now it won't go into the market. I tried a fix_permissions in ROM Manager, but it only fixed the permissions for ROM Manager itself... Any ideas? I got this thing just the way I liked it and forgot to do a backup...
EDIT: I saw that Trigger has a new version v1.2 that includes the lockscreens and couple other new things. I'm just going to flash that and re-customize. Thank you anyway for the potential help.
Try clearing market data and see if it lets you.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I already downloaded and am in the process of flashing and customizing the new Trigger ROM. I saw that it already had the extra lockscreens I wanted and a couple other miscellaneous things that looked intriguing.

does your rom suffers from the missing widgets problem every time you shut down and boot up again? i am asking because i tried already homebase and aura which have faux's kernel and both have the same problem... CM7 beta has a kernel that does not have this problem...
So I dl and flashed using the instructions you posted.
I originally had blue cronic installed and it seems like most of the ui from it was still running after reboot. Also all of the apps had a fc issue going on so I had to restore. Should I have to flash back to stock before flashing your rom?

I would assume so. The missing widgets problem appears to be linked to faux's kernel, which this has. In faux's thread even people on CM7 that use his kernel experience the widget problem.

It is no necessary to back to stock.
I had CM7 before. After Wipe data, cache, then install, no problem at all.

I'll try it again. Maybe I'll do a restore shook the way back to after I unlocked and rooted before flashing and see what happens.

So I restored back to stock and cleared/reset everything but still unlocked and reinstalled.
Out got stuck on the dual core boot loader over and over. Pulled the battery and restored again.
What it looked like was happening when I installed was an update and not a full rom? I downloaded the files you had posted, was it the right one at 7:00am this morning est?

can you release a version with stock kernel? i dont need to overclock, just want a stable deodexed custom rom... thanks!
Boot up success but I am using AURA ROM developer Diviance's updater-script. I must ask his permission to release!
BTW I try to reboot the phone to see if the widgets missing. Honestly, No problem with BlurHome launcher
The widget problem seems to occur at a random time. It took a few days worth of rebooting to happen to me on homebase. After it happened the only permanent fix was to revert to stock kernel.

Droid Bionic ICS Theme for D3

http://goo.gl/P5axT
I took no part in this theme, just simply sharing my findings.
If you are on a deodexed rom, it seems that Droid Bionic ICS theme for UNLEASHED will work just fine. I personally have flashed the theme over MonsterRom 1.1h and everything is working, no force closes. It should work whether or not you use 1% battery increments, as it does not flash a services.jar. It does already contain the 1% .pngs for the battery though. So, it should work on both 10% and 1% increment roms. Do NOT flash the batteries in this thread as they will cause you to bootloop. If you want 1% and are on a rom that only shows 10%, I recommend you flash a rom that has 1% battery, then flash the theme.
Be sure to thank the Themer!
Alright.. so, I have the Galaxy Nexus bootanimation, linear 1%increments, and using whitebread metamorph. I'm also on Stock Deodex. Would/should this still work? I don't get what you mean by, "don't flash the batteries" in this thread.

Yes it should. It doesn't flash a services.jar which is the file that controls 1% battery increments.
So when you flash, you should still have boot animation (I have the same one, didn't change) 1% battery (ICS themed) and new framework, which will remove your metamorph.
Just play it safe and nandroid, unless you have a recent enough one.
Yep, I made a nandroid yesterday, and on the 4th, cause I was messing around with metamorph.
Well sweet, I'll try this out and edit(or reply again if other people replied) my post and tell you how it went.
Edit again - Hehe, never mind. Seemed as though I just needed to read your first post again. Figured it out. Still wondering if I need to put this in a certain spot though or if anywhere will work fine like it did for flashing the bootanimation and 1% increments.
Edit - Works perfectly! Thanks for sharing. Looks like I'll need to make an account on Rootzwiki to thank the creator(s).
Edit - Never mind.. I lost my status bar? Going to try flashing the accurate status bar zip on top of it. Maybe you're supposed to do that and I didn't know.
Edit - Nope, didn't work. Still no status bar.
Will our d3s get ics? Or are we just going to be on a million versions of gb?

My guess is yes, we'll get it.. but knowing motorola, not for quite some time. So I'm guessing we'll have to get it in a ROM.

Will we get official ICS? Yes, probably in about 7 months. We will have CM8 AOSP before the blurred up, crappy motorola version though so it doesn't matter.
Got it to work!
I restored my phone with nandroid before I had metamorph, cleared cache, then installed/flashed the unleashed version, and then before rebooting I went ahead and flashed the battery part too. Now I have my status bar back and a sexy theme.
Thanks again!

As long as there are no bionic specific files in it. The framework and systemui in d3 and bionic are pretty much identical, if not 100% the same.

[MOD] CRT off and 1% circle battery mod for ODEXED STOCK EL30

Hi there,
Just like the one I posted for EI22, but this one uses the EL30 framework. Flash it with ClockworkMod.
Please be aware that this is for ODEXED STOCK EL30, and uses framework, systemUI, and twframework files from ODEXED STOCK EL30. If you are not on ODEXED STOCK EL30, you may screw up your ROM. Do a backup in Clockworkmod before installing just in case.
I've also included an undo zip that re-installs the unmodified ODEXED STOCK EL30 files.
I made the battery mod with UOT Kitchen online. All props go to their developers.
http://uot.dakra.lt/
Also, thanks to ss4rob for the crt off mod
Nice, thank you! It's one of the few changes I want over stock.
I got stuck in a boot loop. So I restored the original files. Then I remembered to wipe the cache and tried again. Worked great that time.

Here's what worked for me:
Restore original files (using the zip in the OP).
Reboot to desktop.
Reboot to recovery. Wipe cache and dalvik before installing the mod. Install the mod. No more wiping.
Reboot.
Voila.
I can't guarantee the order above is what made it work -- just telling you what I did.
Flashed this on mine and my wife's phone it worked just fine.
Thanks

ICS 404 rom v28 official LG Rom theming

Hey peeps,
I would like to know if the lockscreen can be themed.
It's lookin really nasty on a higher display resolution.
I want to try it myself but should I even start? Because I can't install it through cmw recovery. This official Rom doesn't allow cmw. And does anyone know which file I should change. Never done anything with theming before. I already got the images from the framework file.

You can still install it by pushing it via adb, or copying the file using a root file explorer. But be careful, cause if you brick your device, you ll have to completely reinstall the ROM, or at least, reflash, reroot and reinstall the rest with Titanium
