I had the same issue found solution, goto this link https://www.filesanywhere.com/fs/v.aspx?v=8a6e628e5c6675b7a5ae, and download the two files. Install the livewallpaers(1).apk as normal and you need to flash the livewallpaperpicker-signed.zip and this should put it back on your phone. It worked for me
Did you flash the zip first? I tried it and it put my phone in boot loop.

i have a captivate sgh-I897,2.2 firmware kernel 2.6.32.9 froyo build.
i have rooted my phone my problem is that when i find another rom to download it will dwwnld. fine but will not install i don't know if im not doing something i should or what would appreciate any help with this.

Go to mobiletechvideos.com there is a three part video on how to install a rom, what you are doing is completely wrong ... Before you do the steps in the video you're gonna have to do the fix I posted earlier.
Sorry for being a little rude earlier. I just assumed that was your issue cause that's all I've seen this week for some reason.

why are you moving roms to your external sd? you need to flash from the internal sd

External sd is not mounted in cwm. You need to use internal

It's all in the videos, just make sure you mod the 3e recovery first or you will get a signing error and the install will fail.
Ok does it say how to mod 3e rec. I'm not sure how to do that

I flashed the super d black ram hack version and there's no phone apk? I tried downloading an eclair phone apk but it won't install, what can I do to fix this? Also what's the deal with the swap/compache settings for this rom

When you flash the ROM, it should already have dialer.apk (phone) to be use for making phone call. I do not quite sure why the ROM that you are using does not have it. There is no individual download for that, as far as I know. Not unless you extract it from the ROM.

I dont think you can do it with stock rom.
Try zeus rom.
You can also use an app to do it.
It is called rebooter.

If he's on stock he probably doesn't have recovery or root access
He's rooted but i don't think he has recovery?

If you are rooted and have no recovery just get Rom manager from play store and install recovery from it, the app also has a reboot in recovery option

This is the easiest way.
Procedure for our newbie friend.
1. Download rom manager from play store.
2. Open the apps then click flash ClockworkMod Recovery (need internet connection to flash)
3. After flashing click Reboot into recovery
I suggest that use the old clockworkmod(Version 5.0.2.6) because base from my experienced i always have a hard time rebooting using the touch version. It's like there is a time out, i ended always into bootloop and it takes an hour to reboot.
I'm having a problem with play store.I've flashed 3 different gapps.they all set up and u can access app,but when I try to down load it fc.
All 3 gapps were gb.1 was for cwm7.2.Is there a specific gapp for cwm7 ribbon ics?
I was running cwm7.2 glitch w/no problems.Did reset.flashed new rom.Booted fine.Flashed gapp and started fc problems.Any suggestions

Can't post yet in cyanogenmod.hoping someone knows correct gapp zip for this rom.any help is appreciated.thnx

They have the right Gapps to use in their thread and their website.
Phone is not booting up, screen is blinking on\off on Samsung.com initial logo
Can enter in download mode, so tried flashing stock rom via odin(it flashed successfully) , but no sucess in screen problem.
Can't access recovery mode

I was on CM 10.1 3rd oct stable built since 3 days, suddenly apps starting FCs, so reboot the mobile and then this happened, phone dint started up!, cant go to stock recovery only download mode!
Additional info: i installed mobile odin.pro app and something started to happened to.dump.file but i closed the app n uninstalled it. i guess it bricked my phone? i can go into download mode so should i use usb jig or something?
Get a hard resort done and start with cm7 it will surely work!

how would i do a hard rest? to install cm 7 it needed to be go in CWM recovery, i mention before only that can go into it, its a soft brick so need hlp regarding it

2ND FLASHED STOCK ROM (ONE PACKAGE AND 4 PACKAGE)
3RD REBOOT
still problem not solved
REPEATED 1, 2 FLASHED DIFFERENT RECOVERY 3. still same. Problem not solved.

Unroot and I saw ur video problems not with hardware but boot IMG was.....

Phone is year old (out of warranty) , I have seen in many post that Samsung store will ask to change the motherboard (will cost nearby 50percent of phone cos) unadvisable.

Thanks for the reply, yes i have correct files, still will try yours, (once it will boot then further i will deal easily) currently have given the phone to a local repair person, he said something is wonky with IC chip so ROM is not flashing properly.
