Hey guys, I had found a new custom experimental CyanogenMod 7.1 for Optimus 2x Su660 , along with custom kernel at code.google.com/p/open2x/
The CyanogenMod can be downloaded at code.google.com/p/open2x/downloads/detail?name=update-cm-7.1.0-Optimus2X-SU660-KANG-signed-fixed.zip
I cannot install it using CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.7 because I get this error
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "su660" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "su660" || getprop("ro.product.board") == "su660"
I'll post instructions here if I find a way to install this mod correctly. If you had successfully install this mod, please share how did you do it.
modify system/google/com/updater-scipt
replace all character "p990" with "su660".
try again.

Are you sure that the CWM recovery 5.0.2.7 is the custom for su660,and it is not for p990 ?
The CWM recovery 5.0.2.7 by the XDA froum is only for p990.
You should download the custom version of CWM recovery for su660.
Search the key words "recovery su660", download it from chinese sites.
I know there are 4.0.1.4 version for su660.

CM9 seems fast than CM7 and its ICS 4. The address book and Message Thread looks nice. The drawback is the video recorder cannot be used because there is no media encoder or decoder yet so you can't record video using the stock camera but you can use Video Illusion in the market to record videos.
is it OK to flash the CM9 w/out wiping data(got games with a lot of data)...i also found that there are some issues with CM9 aside from video encoder though i forgot it already...will try this one tom(data connection here in is super slow specially one from my carrier)...thanks again for this!Its really hard to find custom ROMS for su660...if there is any...its in chinese and even if i translate page by google still unable to understand it

I did not wipe my data when i upgraded to CM9 and my applications were still there. I was previously using Open2x CM7 before the upgrade.

Man, if you want to keep phone alive for longer time, don't test custom ROMs all the time. w8 for official ICS and be happy

CM9 is running pretty well on my phone. Issues so far are:
Video camera doesn't work (need to use a seperate app)
Play Store closes frequently. Need to clear the cache for it to work sometimes.
Everything else has worked well so far, it is very slick!

Videocam Illusion, it records video but it's not great. My camera has a lot of lag when taking photos too.
Does anyone know if there is an update available for CM9 on the SU660?
I also have problems receiving mms. Anybody else?

I can't either. I see a download button next to the message, but it fails to download.

thats still base on kang30...try download latest kang base on p990 then you can use openstar2x kernal to fix button issue...regarding the link..no need to read it, just click the download logo on upper right side of the page..its a zip file to fix vold,nitz etc.

wow!thats high!max i was able to get was 2600 on quadrant though havent try latest kang of owain...last time i tried it got some issues with games and little buggy and time not updating so i revert to CM7...will try to download latest kang of owain and check...please give feedback regarding games if you can...thanks!

After downloading the file you can open it and check the md5 hash and compare with the posted hash to know that the download is complete and not corrupted, then you can flash it.

does phone book and call option work for you.......
as I was not able to find them, and many force closes, SMS not worked for me, even download speed and internet access speed was too slow on MIUI.... can you share your experience on these issues.... or I am the only one nub who is facing such problem......
I have none of those issues!
For me, MIUI at stock clocks is running smoother and better than RC2 @ 1.5 ghz!
Even my edge connection seems to be running on steroids.
Are you certain you did a complete wipe before updating to MIUI?
Most people forget wiping the dalvik cache after wiping data and system.

Ok will give one more try and will wipe out everything (will take backup also) and then comment, but without camera seems boring (used to click pic on regular basis) still give try......
@ FR , i have checked setting a lot, but not able to find an option to hang the phone, only option slide to receive, also market is not available, means not able to open, although connected with EDGE ...... are you able to access the market because I am not getting it....

Hey...... I have tried this before also, but it works now ..... what a strange experience with MIUI......
Now feeling good with this ROM, new LOGOs, new feel and everything......
Still missing two most IMP function (at least for me) and those are FM and CAMERA

1. Does it have HDMI mirroing? And, does it work in landscape mode?
2. Does it offer the option to switch sdcard and internal memory for sddata installation (midia area)?
3. Does it have a quickpannel on statusbar for energy control (wifi BT APN GPS Light)?
4. Does it support 2.3.6 Webtop?
5. Does it support webtop2sd?

This is the second 2.3.6 Bell ROM i've tried and it's the same issue wheras the ATt one works give. It's really frustrating as I prefer this base.

Forgive my ignorance, but is this AOSP rom a branch of CM or totally different? Do all the functions of the camera work smoothly including 720p video recording?
Its aosp with cherry picks... and its in beta right now so you'll have to test the camera out. So far no real issues have been reported...

I had to flash gaaps but thats all. It is running smooth. Camera and video is working. sound is working. music is working great, I'm using google play music. well all be it. GPS is working. I went into the Performance part and tried to Max to 1.2 ghz and Min to 200mh. It froze for a little then It allowed me to mess with it but only to not be able to OC or UC. But even with out the OC this ROM is snappy GPS works for me. Camera works so I will tell ya in a couple of days if its keeping up to what I see so far. But so far really good. :good:

This flashes fine for me. But a very weird thing and I odin'd back to stock already to double check is that upon it flashing my cwm to 6.x.x.x it turns my screen blue. Totally blue and forever after blue. Even the rom runs like normal but my colors are so messed up everything is just blue. Am I supposed to flash a different kernel or do something to prep before flashing this?

Fix For Status 7
I have removed the lines in the updater-script that checks for SGH-T959 in the existing rom's build prop and if that isn't present you will get a Status 7 and then abort the flash. I have attached the modified updater-script that removes the check for SGH-T959 therefore letting you flash coming from either CM10/Slim Bean/Helly Bean. Just download the updater-script.zip file and unzip the updater-script file that is in it and using WinRAR drag it in to the META-INF\com\google\android folder in the Blackbean ROM zip which will overwrite the existing updater-script.

Yes but I am talking about STOCK GAPPS, NOT INVERTED. They said something like this: "Inverted Gapps is now flashable on first flash there is no longer a need for stock gapps. However if you prefer stock you know where to get them"
Im wondering where STOCK gapps are.
Stock gapps are all over the place.. but if you're flashing a blacked out rom why even go with stock gapps?

I just flashed Blackbean3 after fixing the updater-script and everything seems to work fine with no lag except the external sdcard won't mount properly when connected to PC via USB. I also tested Devil kernel 1.4.1 and it works great and locks GPS quicker then the stock kernel that comes with it. All in all this is a badass rom that runs just as smooth as CM10 and I love everything blacked out. Please fix the external sdcard mounting when connected to PC via USB and we will be golden.
I got usb connection, though it was slow, not a prob as swiftkey add on usually breaks cm10 based usb hookup. Cardreader anyway. Like the blackout.
This rom is absolutely WOW! everyone should try it!

I would do overwrite the updater-script just in case so you don't get a Status 7 error on install.
Hi fih fb0 users. i tried porting the Paranoid Android 2.53 from Motorola Triumph ( http://androidforums.com/triumph-al...ranoid-android-ver2-53-alpha-1-01may2013.html ) by using this guide ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2232773 )
Rom is booting but stuck in boot loop. i can see PA beans boot animation.
i have got logcat (attached)
I request our developers to have a look at the log and help me in getting the working PA.
Just want to see PA JB in fih fb0 before it dies.

2. if you remember elol shared with us a cm9 folder for porting
you can also try making same folder by replacing files from CM10 rom into that file.
I think Gundul and Lanhoter can help us also

finally got one reply after 80+ views
the above logcat is after replacing the runtime.so file
i googled about the errors and found out the problem is with framework.jar but not sure.

Just change BOOT.IMG from PA Rom from MT DEv from any kernel. It will boot definately( I tried and got sucess) but there will be a pointer as faced in gundul CM9 roms. Only he can help to remove that pointer

Open any kernel zip file and replace boot image into PA Rom from triumph
dont change anything else
it will boot to home screen but with pointer on screen

POINTER Problem is solved. working on Network issue. hope i can hit the target.

Good news friends. after 69 flashes and n number of logcats. finally got the ROM which will not reboot on its own . Hold on
Still have problem with
Network (could able to get GSM settings but not showing the network)
Wifi ( Tried everything i could but not able to get it ) concentrated more on this
GPS (GPS Settings force close but this could not be a issue)
PASettings ( every thing works but after second reboot the UI settings will become default )
Camera ( could able to take pictures but screen is black )
Graphichs ( graphic glitches can be seen like in earlier ICS days. replaced the latest egl libs but no display )
Still hard way to go. but sure we are in the correct direction to get the PA.

Have you tried full guide of porting triumph rom by Aben
Or you can PM CK for any help
Compare Build.prop for ICS and JB. try to use max build.prop from ICS PA rom
For camera, try to replaceall camera libs from Lanhoter rom

If you got rid of reboot issue. Upload it in dev section with all the pros and Cons, we will try to update it or other can also have a look at it bcoz i think this thread is not getting visibilty here

After Flashing Gapps, if it seems like bootlooping, just be patient and wait.
If you can't wait, go to recovery and wipe data. Reboot.

Because I want to give you all a stable aosp-based rom Since, LiquidSmooth is in beta state and it was a little frustrating to determine whether bugs are device specific or general. So, I want to made a new project based on a stable rom and here we comes. (By all means, I'll be still building LiquidSmooth i.e: untill my computer burn out ) I also have to buy a new harddisk, since for now, I only have about 100GB free and with two projects, I can't even have cache it takes ages to make a build

You cant because you dont read flash cm11 or cm based rom then go to camera video and switch to 1080p.Video is working i personaly tested it on CM11 nightly 2.2
Mokee is based on Official CM... In Unofficial sources video recording doesn't work.

Did you flash gapps? If so, go to recovery and factory reset again.
I have a bug. I can't write anything in the SD card. I get an error that say there is not enough free space. But it's not true!

Amazing Rom. Very very smooth. I had bootloop while installing it but I was impatient. The only bug as mentioned above is not able to write in memory card. I would appreciate is you can include this in this ROM. Multiwindow
Sry guys, I thought SD card write issues fix might not need recompiling, but it seems it does. and as I have to compile again, I wanna test it with official sources, so might need a little time for new upload

Good news Guy, I've now compiled based on official sources and it's working really fine. SD card copy issues is solved, also. Setting menu not translatable is 'not' solved, sorry. May be in next build? I'll upload new build in two, three hours later since in my country, connection is suck this time.
New build is up, mediafire is giving me issues, so I put it to google drive. It's in OP.
Note: After Flashing Gapps, remember to factory reset once again. Unless, it will go on bootlooping.
If you have some problem with copying to external sd card, check your sd card for recursive folder, like 0, or sdcard1, or storage. If you find that, delete it.
EDIT: I completely forgot to tell you that since I used official sources now, video recording works perfectly.
