Anyone know stock battery capacity? - Galaxy Ace S5830 Accessories

Hi,
I am thinking about getting a new battery as the stock one just doesn't last long. Does anyone know the capacity of the stock one? I really don't want to open the back to just check capacity (yes I am a lazy ********). As if its something like <1000 mAh, I may as well upgrade.
Also, I was looking at:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GOLD-2430...678?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2eb89962de
Anyone tried that battery?

Stock battery have - 1350 mAh

WOA!
Who said you need to open the case to check stock battery capacity?? You could also Google it.
& yeah, That battery is good. I have read reviews. It is definitely better than stock one.

I heard from the other thread that it's missing a failsafe mechanism
Sent from my GT-S5830 using XDA App

If you check the listings on a number of the batteries some sellers disclaim that the battery capacity is claimed by the manufacturer and they have no responsibly for the actual capacity typically around 1000 mAh... But if you buy it and it works out let me know because I would want one too!

I have the siedio 3500mha battery I wonder if that door would fit it..
I wouldnt get that huge battery/cover for only 400 more mah... There is a thread on here now that is for the touchpro2 battery that will fit our phones. ITs 2000mah and 10 bucks shipped. Cant go wrong brah. and it keeps the stock door. Now I would settle for a bigger door for a 3500mah battery.

I've been using the Andida 2000mah battery for the last week now...and it's not really that good. I don't even know if I'm getting any better life out of it than out of the stock battery. You having a better experience?
Damn haha that is NOT what I wanted to hear brah. I ahve not got mine yet..

Too bad that extended door is so fugly and...well... huge.
I bought an external charger for $5 and one of the $10 Hong Kong batteries. Even if the performance isn't better than stock, I will have an extra charged battery I can bring with to work and swap out when it gets low.

I'm running Fresh 1.1 with Gumbo's kernel and SetCPU "ondemand". I've used the phone pretty light/moderate today...Up time is at 12 hours and 36 minutes, Awake time is at 3 hours and 36 minutes, and battery percent is at 30 percent. Seems to be just like my stock battery. I'm a give it a few more days of observation before I make any final judgements. Hope that helps!
hey can ya give me link to that kernal? isnt that for better battery life and faster phone? Whats this setCPU?

Search the forum for Gumbo Kernel....it's probably on the first 3 or 4 pages of the forum. SetCPU is a paid app in the market for root users. You buy it and set it up as stated in the Gumbo Kernel thread. It scales your processor to use only what it needs...this way it saves battery when you're phone's sleeping, because it's sleeping at 160mhz instead of 540mhz or whatever. Then when you wake the phone up the batter scales up to 540mhz. It saves a ton of battery and helps with performance. It's totally worth the 99 cents. Hope that helps!

Let me summarize the whole thread for you: This is all you need to know:
Just download the zip file from the first post of the thread...put it on the root of your SD card....boot into recovery mode (ie: turn off your phone and turn it on holding power and home button at the same time), and click flash zip. Select the Gumbo Kernel Zip and flash it. (If you've never flashed anything before, than you are right, you have some reading to do. If you have...you'll know what I'm talking about).
Once it's done flashing, reboot your phone.
Then download SetCPU from the market. Open it, click menu, select Hero/Tatoo from the list of devices...then adjust the sliders to Max 540mhz, Min 160mhz. Then check the little box that says Set At Boot.
There you go...all done! you should have great battery life now! Like, WAY better than stock!
God bless!

Received my larger battery.

http://www.thinkmobilesolutions.com/htc-hd7-1500mah-lithium-ion-battery-oem-35h00143-01m-13126.html
It should be heavier than the 1230 one. On my goold old Nokia battery I felt a significant difference between a 860 and a 1020 one while holding them both in hand.
Beware, if it's not a genuine HTC battery you may damage your phone
I received my larger battery today. Fits fine. Is there any where on the phone that says it using a larger battery?....I googled the part number and it says its a 1500 battery...but I just want to make sure.

Interesting, if I search for the part number listed on the yahoo website on Amazon, it brings up a stock 1230 battery. Odd.

Same
They can't be the same weight. It's obviously a chinese re-hash or an original 1230 battery. I am 90% sure it's not genuine 1500 but miracles do happen.. Let us know
This is why I started this thread. The minute I opened the box I thought it was the same battery.
Its actually the same part number as the battery that came with the phone.
Just disputed the charge with Paypal.
Received this email just now.
The Manufacturer advertised the battery as a 1500mAH battery, we're
contacting them to see if this was an done in error. There are no other
batteries available for the HD7 and HTC has never made an extended battery
that does not require a separate (larger) battery door.
If you would like, we can send you a return label for the item and a full
refund once the item is received. Or if you would like, we can offer you a
20% discount on the battery.
Please let us know.

it is not same part..almost yes check the last 3 letters , on the hd7 original is 00m and on the knock off is o1m
Sounds like the exact same problem as with the HD2, lots of unofficial "1500 mAh" batteries that turned out to be fake. And isnt it a bit strange that these batteries are already available for such a new device? Best to wait for Seido or Mugen Power or other trusted companies to come out with an extended battery, that way you know you are getting what you are paying for.
I wonder if they will be able to make a larger one without the need of a new back-case.It's a signifficant difference from 1230 to 1500 but it might just work to keep the original case.
I am not a fan of those batteries because you have a high chance of damaging your phone or in extreme rare casses going boom. I know Mugen have managed to build a strong reputation for quality but while on an N900 for example a bigger case might work , on the HD7 it would look just wrong
My 2 cents
is the part number of your orginal battery 35H00123-00m? thanks in advance,
Mike

Just Ordered a 2450 mAh battery

Just ordered a 2450 mAh battery for my Samsung Galaxy Ace. from Ebay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/120968895132?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
Seen mixed reviews about some stating they are better than stock and some claiming they are worse. Just found it cheap and decided to try out. Anymore reviews would be helpful.. I would review it once I get the item.
That looks like the battery posted before, which was a scam (according to OP).
But It says 100% brand new and the seller got 98% positive feedback, so not sure what to believe...
There are many chinese shops who just snips old batteries to make them fit other phones, that might be the reason for the mixed reviews if the batteries is scam.
more info: http://micgadget.com/28174/knockoff-makers-can-produce-any-type-of-battery-within-5-minutes/
vOw ! Guess i hadnt thought that even batteries could be resized in such a crude fashion. Well I am not sure whether the ones that I ordered are real or fake but I saw the seller having all positive feedbacks for this battery and decided to try out. I am waititng for its delivery.
Well, the 1500mAh I ordered is working perfectly fine, just so you know. I made a thread about it a while ago.
Yes I checked them. I was going to order them but then had some shipping issues to my location after which I decided to try the Gold one. Still havent recieved it. Sellers says it will take from 3-4 weeks to reach my location.
Still havent received the gold ones. In the meantime have bought a stock one which is holding quite good.

No cant damage the phone. More capacizy more runtime. Only more voltage can damage the phone. I have a 2450mAH battery in my main Ace. Battery runtime doubled now. But you have to find a good battery and no fake one.

[Q] Fake battery?

Hey,
I purchased a battery on Ebay for like 8$.
Shipped from Germany and claims to be genuine.
My tests:
Weight- Old genuine battery 33 grams, New battery 35 grams.
The stickers probably weigh a little bit so the battery supposed to weigh even less than 33.
Voltage- Old is about 4.078V at 100% charge, New is about 4.123V at 100% charge.
I don't really see a huge improvment in battery life although my old one 3.5 year old one.. Yet it's not worse for sure..
The old one has to be genuine since I got it with my device from a big cell phone provider store.
I uploaded pictures of them both. My old one (with stickers on it on the first image) and the new one (with the "original" sticker).
Thank you.
PS: scanning the QR on the old one gives "GH43-03441A+EB575152VU".
Scanning the new ones QR gives its serial number instead.
German quality should be good.

"Should be".. But how is it in my case?
The seller also sells these batteries from Spain too.. So I dont know how it's done and how "German" are they..
Anyhow they are made in Korea.. So it's doesn't really matters.
Do the states and looks seem ok?
i've already had 3 batteries, the stock battery, then a polarcell and now a Anker, and as far as i can see i need to recharge every evening, so i can't say the autonomy is improving!
However, since i run CM rom, i feel that the battery consumption is huge, whenever i browse the internet while on 3g!

Hey,
Thanks for the comment and trying to help.
But TBH I didn't really get the point in your words and how it answers any of the questions.
Hey,
The one thing that's really throwing me off here is in the 3rd to last picture, which shows the top of the battery - 3 small grooves instead of 2.
To compare and see whether there is any variation I did a check with both my S3 batteries and they're identical at the top. I can't get hold of my mother's Galaxy S right now so I can't compare how her batteries look (one was bought recently and the other was from 2010).
However I'm thinking that a genuine battery would look identical at the top as well.
Hope that helps, but someone with a better knowledge of these batteries will be able to tell you more.

your new battery looks close enough to me, it looks good, it fits the phone and it works.
the question I see is for $8 does it matter if its a fake?
(not really helpful in identifying a fake, just my opinion)

i've had my share of batteries, and they are all the same as far as battery life in real conditions is concerned!
The interesting part in your pictures is in fact the manufacturing date! Since it reads that it was manufactured in 2014, maybe the differences come from a manufacturing process that has changed (improved?) over time. At the very least you could consider yourself lucky that they did not ship you a 2010 battery, because i don't think batteries do age well.

Hey mate,
Did you mean "the buttom" insted of "the top"?
Because if you are talking about the picture with the buttom of the batterires where you can see 2 patches on one and 3 on the other, then it's the buttom of the battery.
The one with 3 patches is the original one and the one with 2 is the new one.

That's what I thought, that the proccess might have changed or something.. Maybe just different factories make different looking batteries (small changes)..
Who knows?

Why is your battery so worn out? lol
And about the poor brod, fakes come in all kinds of shapes and qualities.. Who knows what kind of battery she bought..
Plus I dont think batteriess just tend to explode for no reason.. Extra heat would be a good sign for a risk of explosion.. As long as the battery is cool as the original and works as the original, I don't see any reason why it would do any damage.
I just want to find out if the battery is real cuz it's interesting to me. I wont throw it away if it isn't. It works just fine and cool.

Why don't you simply ask the vendor to attach the guaranty of Samsung to the package. This is the only way you will know for sure if it is the real deal.
As far as i am concerned for things like that i always go for the real deal (i.e avoid Chinese products at all costs) even if it means paying an extra buck, because you know i don't have no spare legs!

I dont know.. I think that if Ebay sellers had any papers considering the battery they would add it.. I dont think they have any..
And all products are made in china.. Doesn't matter how much you pay for them.. You can't avoid it.
Again, batteries dont explode without a warning and genuine ones are not safe from exploding either..

Have you found anything?I'm in search of a BN43 battery too and i have to say the whole subject is very confusing. For a start you can't really be sure that the so called original batteries are indeed original. There are more than enough excellent reviews about these but most people just "5star-ing" anyone that delivers the item on time and just 1 or 2 actually test the battery.
I heard Nohon is good too, but then i run into a review that says that it's almost as good as the original at start but then degrades rapidly in 2-3 months and its actually worse than the 2 years old original.
Also can anyone share with us how we can identify an original battery?I see some have the s/n in one row and others in two.Has it something to do with the identification of the originality of a battery? Can someone post a photo of his original BN43 or at least BN41 battery? Thanks!

With accubattery app it says the capacity of my current battery is about 2800mah. With RR Pie and Franko kernel I'm getting more than enough charge for my needs. I didn't plan on replacing the battery immediately. I wanted the spare (Nohon) in case I wanted to replace it. I'll keep looking for an original if I can find a real one. I may end up getting the redmi Note 8. Not the pro since the pro is mediatek and I won't use one of those again since they don't release source code.

Just to make it clear by review i mean a buyers short comment for the battery.
2800 is too freaking low, maybe in 3-4 charges you'll get better result but i doubt it'll be more than 3300 mah.I think i'll go for an "authentic" and see what happens. Can you post a picture of your original battery since i can't be sure about my battery cause i bought the phone used.

My original battery is 2800 after 2 1/2 years of use. Haven't received my new battery yet. So yes the 2800 is low which is why I'm looking for a replacement. I haven't pulled the original battery yet.

I also found this one :

Don't have a clue about quality but seems more reliable than the others.
