Is the phone in the excactly same condition than before the mobile data stopped working? If so, I'd suggest you take a backup of your apps and contacts. Then do a hard reset

Disable Mobile Network

Is there any way to disable the mobile network on the Nexus One?
On the HTC Hero there was an widget to set the mobile network on/off!
And in the system settings there was a checkbox, but on the Nexus One i dont find any of this...
i think your looking for apndroid
look for it in market
I've tried it but the mobile connection is not disconnected.
The apndroid changes the APN settings and add "apndroid" to it, but this makes no difference for me... the mobile connection is on and i am surfing
Is there no system setting?
how is dat possible? if the apn is called something else surely u cant surf using ure phone
goto the dialer and type *#*#4636#*#* and you will see settings there to turn off the cellular data connection.
no he's right, apn droid doesn't do **** on the n1. at least when I tried. and yes. i rebooted. don't know how it figures out the connection with apndroid appended to its parameters... what I do is just delete the APN's compeltely
So there is no way to disable the mobile connection from the system...
Very strange because on my HTC Hero there was such an option and widget.
I use Locale and want to disable the mobile connection in the night.
Flightmode is not usable for me because the telephone should ring, only the wifi and mibile connection should be off.
JuiceDefender has a home screen widget to disable the apn
Thanks but JuiceDefender has one added a Note:
Might not work on CDMA phones w/ Android 2.1
Very sad :-(

if you read my post, type *#*#4636#*#* and it will take you to a special settings menu. you can disable data there.
Thanks i know this but i want a app or a widget
Been looking for one also...

Sorry, i have an Alltel Milestone(Droid)
Not a verizon..
I dont see Apn as an option.
APN = Access Point Names
Should be there
Sorry, apn isn't an option anywhere.
In mobile networks settings there is only:
Data enabled
Data Roaming
System Select
That's it.
bump..
anyone else gotta any tips?
Try playing around with the settings, you are missing what is essentially the master setting for MMS messages

you do know you posted question in a GSM area of Milestone?
you have a CDMA droid phone right?
so maybe try droid development?
i have the milestone, not the droid, still it isn't working with EclairMODv3b. even when i was playing with the MMS settings.

Text with Picture attached?

I can receive a text with my WiFi "ON" and Connected and my Network Data "OFF" but I can't receive a Text with a Picture attached to Text with this Setup. I have to have Network Data "ON" to get the Attachment,is this Normal?
Thanks

pic messaging requires data connection. messaging doesn't. I'm pretty sure wifi doesn't replace data connection for pic messaging.

Same here. I am around WiFi 90% of the time so I always keep Data Connection Off. I do have Tasker App, I wonder if I could construct some Profile for Turning Data ON with Messaging.

no internet or mms messaging

i flashed to uckh3 no boot today.
i got rooted and everything is working except my internet and multimedia messaging,
I've read what i can find but since its 2.3.4 I'm not sure what i missed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Restore default APN (Menu> Settings> Wireless and network> Mobile networks> Access Point Names> menu> "Reset to default " ) and then u may have to toggle Airplane mode off.

no mobile data connectio

I can't get mobile data connection at all. I'm on Zeus 6.32N. Can anyone help...?
Look at ur Access Point Name settings under wireless settings.
Go to ur mobile providers website and get the settings for ur provider under the support tab.
If they won't send u a settings message then u will have to contact support or look up their FAQ section.
