[Q] Themed Swype - Motorola Droid 3

I know that swype beta has a lot of themes but I do not like how the beta version looks. I would like a 'black glass' themed stock swype. I don't know if this is possible since it seems the only swype that has been themed is the beta. (that I've found) If anyone knows how to do this or if there is a themed swype that will work on the D3 it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

BUMP. Nothing? No ideas? I'll just assume it can't be done.

There are threads around this site with tons of themed swype's(I found an ics theme that I like a lot). They aren't easy to find on the forum search but google seems to find them. Sorry I don't have a link, but good luck with your search.

STOCK? Not beta.... That work with the D3. I've searched, there aren't any... Just a bunch of broken links or links to swype beta themes that are pita to keep working correctly and arent as define as the stock swype.

There was a thread made for D3 for swype themes. Idk where it was and his themes were released before any custom roms rolled out. So idk whether they'll work with non-blur roms.

Dude, are you serious? Here's a suggestion: http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php
I wonder how many threads you have 1, created that have been answered previously and, 2, created multiple threads on the same subject (i.e. motoblur).
Download ADWLauncher and try any of the HUNDREDS of FREE themes in the market. If you don't like what you download, uninstall and try a different one. S.I.M.P.L.E.
dam sorry guy

Lol yes.
@g4ess; look man I know your new to this stuff, we all start somewhere. Just for these types of things - search. If that doesn't work, I.e. can't find the answer then search. It really can't hurt to try something like a theme because you can just uninstall it. I didn't mean to be harsh to be honest. If you're unsure of something the best thing you can do before posting a thread is search and XDA is NOT the only resource out there. That being said I hope you find a theme you like, in my experience I haven't found any themes that don't work on the aria. If you're gonna use ADW, search the marker for ADWTheme and you'll get 100s of results. Johnnybueno is a good dev from what I've seen but I'm pretty sure im using one of anderwebs themes. also, that doesn't mean there aren't any good themes by other devs in the market!

Liberty 1.0 themes

Lets see some screen shots for the different themes on the liberty rom. I'm curious just like everyone else out there to see what they all look like.

I think some people have been asking, and it has been confirmed in some cases, that people are using Themes for Gummy Jar on Liberty.
I know that bignadad is supposedly developing a theme for Liberty. he had the following tweet today:
http://twitpic.com/3q4co0
you can find liberty themes here http://www.droidforums.net/forum/liberty-rom-dx/ . i wouldnt flash gummyjar themes on liberty. it will boot and may be ok, but there will be some issues...

Distribution of any Swype installer files is not allowed on xda.
Swype beta IS open again so just sign up and register, you will get link to swype and installer. For a while it was closed but it has been open again for a long time.
What about the new sense 3.0 swype? Would be great if someone could extract it for us, is it warez?
I honestly dont think it shold be.... Ive had the mytouch 4g and the Samsung vibrant and when we download a custom rom it has swype in it, so why shouldnt the HD2 rooms have them?? im assuming devices with preloaded swype keyboards get to have swype in custom roms but the HD2 comes preloaded with swype aswell, sure its not android and its on windows but thats one of the flaws we get when we flash android to our devices and I miss swype, its acually the only thing i like on windows over android
Devs are allowed to install warez as part of their ROM. But no one is allowed to post installer files for Swype as this will be considered warez. If you want it, sign up for the beta.
just wish i could the new swype themed and work, but i got to be missing something as i can install it but fc's when going to use it,,,
I found an apk in the market called SlideIT, it's and do an awesome job for me in my GBX. i know how hard it isto go backto no-swype so I highly recommend it. Good luck.

Another one you can try which I think is as good, if not better than, Swype is do a search on XDA and find Ultra Keyboard. Very similar to Swype and SlideIt.

Let's talk it over PM

What theme should i port?

I'm gonna start trying my hand in porting, i just dont know which theme to start with.
I was thinking about White Chrome from the i9000 forums, but i dont even know if its compatible.
it would be for sc2.9.2.
opinions please!
and if any of the themers would like to give me the ok to pm them if i get stuck with something, that would be awesome. i dont want to feel like im bugging all you guys haha
You dont know if its compatible? Of course its not. When you port a theme, you make it compatable.
You can pm me if you need any tips.
Hopefully you can talk with nitsuj17 he is very experienced.
White Chrome is dope, good luck with the port.
My advice would be to download an existing fascinate theme/framework and compare it to the theme you like and want to port...galaxy s themes are pretty close to ours (well gingerbread rom themes are a tad more difficult with systemui.apk) so just look through the drawable-hdpi folders and see what's different

well i know im making it compatible, i had just heard there was something with TW roms vs aosp and stuff, and if i ported an aosp theme for a tw rom, i thought things might go bad.

i would recommend using sbrissens 6 lock mods as a base or stock frameworks from roms...when working with already themed frameworks ur carrying over their xml edits/image/framework changes too
and always remember to credit
yeah haha I read your ettiqute (sp) in your guide. so if I download sbrissens mods, and there will be modded frameworks in there and I can just put the image files that I am porting into that framework?

The best way to pick something to work on is find one that YOU like. Then all the aggravation can be worth it if its something you will want to personally use.

lol, true. But I'm just throwing it out there ya know. I just started using themes for the Fascinate (can't figure out why I never used it on the Eris :/), so I don't much about other themes.

Inverted gmail

Can anyone point me in the right direction for an inverted/black Gmail apk? thanks
Afaik, the Gmail mods so far don't turn out as well with ics. Some extra work needs to be done to remap some pngs to get it looking right. Will post if I find or make an ics version. Seems like most of the big themers still aren't on ICS.

+1 for ics that would be nice. Especially if the widget was inverted too
