Tutorial : use Google Music outside U.S.(store 20.000 songs for free) - Off-topic

With the new google music service you can store 20.000 songs for free in the cloud (U.S. only)
How to use it outside the U.S. ?
Follow this tutorial (in german, you can use google translate ; main thing is to use a U.S proxy server to register)
tutorial : http://www.chip.de/news/Google-Music-entsperren-So-nutzen-Sie-es-jetzt_53034724.html
once done, you can upload your whole music collection and access it from anywhere (also from your Android phone with new music.apk v4.0.1.501)

here is a free vpn, use this when you register https://www.privatetunnel.com/

thx
here´s a list of free proxys :
http://www.xroxy.com/proxylist.php?...lity=&sort=reliability&desc=true&pnum=1#table
you can use them with foxy proxy extension for chrome or firefox :
http://getfoxyproxy.org/index.html

Follow this guide. How-to: use Google Music from anywhere (yes, outside of the United States)
Confirmed working, I also used it to register for Google music.

I moved this thread to General Discussions as this is not directly related to LG2X themes or Apps.

Sweet will try this later this week when I'm home

What's in this version:
You now have the Installed and All tabs you can swipe between. The former one is what we used to have before - it lists all apps installed on your device. The latter lists all apps you've ever installed in case you want to download them again or travel down the memory lane. This is quite handy, and I've seen this list before in the Play Store on the web, so it's great to get it here in the mobile app.
The All tab contains a handy dropdown with all your accounts (if you added more than one) and lets you switch between them very easily (as opposed to clicking Menu, etc).
A few of the stock apps that apparently never got linked to the Play Store before got identified and picked up this time, and updates to them were waiting for me when I fired the Store up. I've complained about this very bug in my last rant, and it looks like someone listened.

Google play & sync query..?

Hi all..
I thought its about time I played around with Google play music app & the ability to sync to cloud/play..
Can someone please explain what my first steps would be..I have done some search and I'm confused..
Can I upload my music within the app itself directly, if so how.??
Or do I have to go to Google play store first (I read you have to install download manager) but when I go to music section it states “only available in certain territories"..but I'm from the UK so should be working fine..
Can someone please help it will be greatly appreciated.. :banghead:

Google Music Canada

I folks from Canada. If you feel like you're Nexus 4 don't have enough storage like me. (I have a 8G for now.)
I know a way to enable Google Music in our country. Google Music will give you the opportunity to put your music in the cloud, so when you will be somewhere with Wifi you will be able to enjoy your music.
This how it works :
Install tunelbear
( http://www.tunnelbear.com/)
This will make you virtually a citizen of United States where Google Music is available.
Then go to the Web site of Google Music
( music.google.com)
Downlaud the music manager
Install it
After unistall the music app from your phone an reinstall it.
You're ready to go.

Might wanna add that you do not have to keep tunnel bear active after the first use. It is only for authentication.

Thanks, and this work for other country no oficially suported by google...
I did this a while ago with Tor browser. I've had Google Music for a while. Barely saves space unless you're always connected to wifi or you have unlimited data.

[REQ] RealPlayer Cloud APKs for user outside US

The RealPlayer Cloud app is US only and I was hoping to use it (as i live outside US). Does the local video casting work outside US? Please, anyone in US, can leech an APK and post here.

Try this: http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/
You can get the app URL using Google search.
As a tip, you can create a US based google account and switch to same whenever you want to install US specific apps.

Sorry that should have read Orbot (my spell checker changed it). Its basically an app that allows you to connect to a proxy. In order to use it download it run it go into settings and change the last exit node and enter:
{us}
This tricks the real player install into thinking you're in the US and should allow you to get it working. But to be honest as soon as I discovered Avia I gave up on real player. Real player at the time was only allowing you to cast stuff for a limited period of time, not sure if this is still the case? Oh and I think Orbot is pretty useless unless your rooted.
Well I rooted. I like AVIA, but it does not show subtitles

Thanks man I was able to use it now. However it seems subtitles are not possible either :s.
Are you able to use a player with chromecast that plays local video's and is able to display subtitles?
As for plex. It can't use my device as a server I think... (so playing local files on my phone)

I suppose it is not as convenient, but you can always download the content from your pc to cast it directly from your phone with Plex. But it is a different solution, i have all of my content stored on my pc, so i use my phone only as a remote. Hope Avia adds the function to play subtitles.
