(ROM) Asgard V3.1.2 - 6/28/11 <UPDATED>

This is EDT's / Whitehawkx work, not mine. Im just posting it here for your convenience
I have this update.zip that has root, scroll to the bottom of this post
UPDATED: Asgard 3.1.2
I FINALLY got around to updating this. It's the same Asgard you know and love but I have fully upgraded it to Gingerbread 2.3.4 JVP and added as many hacks and mods as I could find to it.

ODIN VERSION (CWM Version removed due to issues with converting to EXT4 and wiping sdcards)
Installation Instructions
It seems many are having issues with wiped sdcards and voodoo conversion. This is aimed to eliminate those issues once and for all. I believe this to be the safest method of flashing, however, if you would still like to flash via recovery you can find the necessary files in the 2nd post.
Optional Step! - Perform a factory reset and then boot into download mode. This is optional because you can choose to try and keep all your apps, however, this may result in FCs and other issues and is not advised. I'll leave this choice up to the user.
FYI - You do NOT need to disable voodoo and you do NOT need the .pit file. Flashing with voodoo enabled means it will only convert /system on first boot aka LESS TIME til you get to play.

1. Download the Asgard_3.1.2_Odin.zip file
2. Extract the PDA_Asgard_06282011.tar.md5 (DO NOT RENAME THIS!!!!!)
3. Get your phone into Download Mode
4. Load the PDA_Asgard_06282011.tar.md5 into the PDA slot in Odin.
5. UNCHECK RE-PARTITION!
6. Make sure USB is plugged into PC and Phone and click Start.
7. (optional) - After first boot reboot back into recovery and flash additional apps found HERE.

These are the apps found in /data of the CWM version below.
It takes roughly 5 minutes for Odin to flash the rom. Once it's finished it will reboot automatically and will convert to EXT4 on the first boot. ENJOY!
VERY IMPORTANT! - Voodoo means Voodoo. It does not mean EXT4 or CF-Root. If you are NOT on Voodoo specifically you need to disable whatever you are on or flash stock JFD before flashing! I test flashed this while already on EXT4 and it worked without any problems. If you want to be 110% safe though, disable Voodoo before flashing.

Watch out for it wiping sd card. Lost all of my titanium files. Just be warned. I think it's because I wasn't on a voodoo kernel. Just my hunch.

Love this ROM and its definitely one of my absolute faves. Unfortunately, it keeps FCing Facebook and Rom Manager. Then the phone will restart itself and I will lose ALL of my settings and it will make me go through the whole start up process again. I guess I'll try to flash again... FRUSTRATION has set in! LOL.

I just wish the kernel had voodoo color

Install instructions:
- Connect the phone to PC via cable and copy the ZIP with the ROM to SD
- boot into recovery
- Wipe data (factory reset), wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache
- Flash zip from recovery
- Reboot
P.S: First boot will take longer !!

Dropbox sucks for gigantic-sized files. After about 10 downloads it says "not available due to much requests". Happened to me with my first ROM release. Multiupload FTW

Because there are a battery drain problem with RC2 plus fixes

maybe a stupid question but as far as i know CM still has plenty of bugs.
so why release this version? is it bug free?

Diana kernel ? does it compatible with CM7?

Diana kernel is for stock-based ROMs.
Huexxx's kernel is for CM7/MIUI.
Only a thinking... Why to include my kernel here if you can download it from my post and install it? Which version of huexxx's kernel have you included here? Maybe you could insert the link to my post at huexxx's kernel mention to allow people to see the features...

I will include you kernel as an option for AROMA installation. So they can choose if they want CyanogenMod default kernel or Huexx kernel.

CM7 RC2 plus fixes gets SOD every hour, because of that i never trust CM7, but with tantrums on it, it worth a try !!

You are all mistaken in thinking camera "app" alone is the source of quality captures. Drivers, xml's and files coexist in working together. An example... media_profiles.xml.

Flashed the 38p radio, but battery drain is still significant. I hope this will get solved. It's hard to go back to CM7 after using this ROM.

Can I flash this over epinters cm10.1? And is battery life any better than epinter?

Personally I think it is better, but not significantly. The battery drain is a kernel issue so a different ROM can only improve it slightly.
You should be able to flash it over epinter's CM10.1 I suggest making a backup before.

Yeah, the source is publicly available.

I am not getting you what do you mean. If you are talking about warning message before sending SMS you can disable them by choosing remember my choice.

Why is the clock in the notification panel blue, I was using this ROM, but that annoyed me, and all the notifications are weird, like Google Play Music covers (in Notification Bar) are just white with a cross.

^^ Its the framework you change theme Like to Jellyblack It will change clock to Blakish grey. There are really good themes will will be good there.

I don't understand. Are you saying that if I go to the theme part of Settings, I can change it.. Just that I went back to Epinter's ROM because that was annoying me that much..

[ROM][PORT][4.2.2] Cyber-SGS IV Style FINAL Rev 1 (25/07/2013)

Came across this rom in the Samsung i9000 section and decided to port to the vibrant with permission from cyberaprendiz .
It has true galaxy s4 looks and little more here and there.
NOTE: I have made a few changes to the base rom tweaked and added my own files.
. It also comes with the latest version of Macky kernel with OC up to 1.5GHz…..sweet!

KNOWN ISSUE (BUG):
camera,panorama, picture editing works......Only camcorder force closes. (It is a port, sorry!)
Front camera icon showing>>>>removed (this is a vibrant..lol)

Fix camcorder FC issue.(Actually working on it and will post when done).

INSTALLATION GUIDE
1. - Back up the EFS folder.
2. - Backup with apps with Titanium Backup / MyBackup
3. - Copy the ROM via USB to internal SD memory. Reboot in recovery
4. - Wipe data / factory reset, wipe cache , Advanced-> Wipe dalvik cache
5. - Install zip from sd card -> Choose Zip from SD card and choose the ROM
7. - Restart and after a few minutes, it is ready
RECOMMENDED CONFIGURATION:
I recommend wipe data, cache and dalvik for installation, though also can be installed with wipe cache and wipe dalvik.
- Enable developer options in Settings / Phone Info -> press 7 times on Build Number
- Developer Options -> Limits background processes in -> 3 processes.
- Developer Options -> Transition scale - animation and animation duration to 0.5 x.

:goodK.....Once again sorry for the link issue. Had to do with the fact that i have automatic gmail login so did not realize it, also just got back from a long journey.
This time the link has been fixed.

Hmm. The link worked for me. It's a huge zip file though; around 335 MB!
Excellent ROM and all, but that blackened colour messed up the play stores fonts pretty bad. Couldn't see settings very well... Not to mention it also blots out the reply arrow in GMail. Had to press randomly where the arrow was until I clicked it.

Will creat a fix ASAP......Also for the download issue, i am changing my ISP to a more faster one, will have a mirror link in a couple of hours from now.

Sure, but works perfect, slimmed it from 330mb, Samsung apps are quite big in size.
Will be slimming it down much more further as soon as I have enough time and return from a trip.

I cant get YouTube to work, any ideas? I also just realized I have no sound when listening to music either, gonna have to go back to the rom I was using, let me know if this gets fixed/updated.
