nice now we have figure out how pull out baseband. is this a nandroid dump if it is I don't think its possible.
I need a help here

The nitro uses a qcom chipset, the thrill uses a omap chipset. What do you plan on accomplishing with the nitro dump?

The baseband for the modem

The nitro has a LTE modem, whereas the Thrill has HSPDA, not all 4g being equal... unfortunately I think we're still stuck...

however it can be useful we can borrow some apks themes and it should has hspda
modem too coz it gets H+ speed where ever LTE is not available here is thing optimus 3d has 3g modem not H+ we still able get it why not nitro should have H+ and LTE both
The question is whos gonna do it who is gonna risk their phone?

I will be getting a new phone in january, this means I will be able to start risking the thrill and see where we can go...we will have nice roms coming.

I know a guy that make a 1click flash baseband. Lemme shoot him an email. I was gonna learn from him how to make one but we've both been too busy to meet up. I'll shoot him an email and see if he has time to develop one.

i'm all for one click change, make it happen please

I am deodexing .apks and framework right now, so I can compare O3D and Nitro's system, after that gonna try to build a bootable ROM using Nitros system files. But after watching some youtube reviews, it seems like the entire interface is the same laggy **** LG interface we have on our devices, so I am not very excited about getting something better than what we already have.

There's a V20B_00.kdz available now.
If' it's rootable and runs on AT&T frequencies, I'm using it as a base. Screw V20C. xD
WOAH! V20B_00.kdz seems to be PURE LG.
No bloatware or anything.
Not rootable yet though.
I'm going head on into this. The most LEGIT Lg rom yet.

Don't worry. A ROM is in the works. Gingerbread of course.
I figured I have been watching. i played with it last week but got no where. I have to say I like that LG better then my Galaxy for some things for sure. The keyboard is way better then my S II
And why can we not use the Roger's baseband? Different radio or frequencies or what? I'm just a layman on this, but at first thought, I'd expect that it might work. Just wanting to know, to learn.

Yea link please. I'm still having baseband issues and want to reupgrade anyway.
Is the baseband a set of files like in the system folder. I'm think with a bit of tweaking they should run on 21A.
The issue I have is that the signal keeps dropping of on the 21A rom but it is fine on the 20A.

[Q] AT&T "4G" Support/Signal Strength on V21A & V21E?

Does v21a and v21e support at&t's "4G"? Just wondering because I hear those basebands are ghost call free and I'd like to give it a shot.
Sent from my LG-P925 using XDA
4g is all dependant on your location ..its very spotty and I'm not sure but I think you have to change the flex XML which gets a little tricky bit there is a thread on here that talks about it
Sent from my SGH-i677 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Yeah I know about the flex file. Aria has an entire thread on it. It just makes me wonder because v20p is the only one that gives me a good signal even though on v20c it uses the exact same baseband and signal strength is poor. Is v20p the only one with good strength?

Also by poor signal, I mean it's poor after flex file changes

I have this phone on that band i was skeptical to at first because i heard
the base frequency's are what you flash for tmobile but just flashed it an hour ago and my "HSPA" is running fine :good:
A funny thing happened to me when using promethius v21e. I read it needed to mess with the flex and the apn to get 4G on my 925. So I did all of that stuff with replacing the dialer and contacts because of the force closes and I thought it was going well. But after a while it became pretty annoying the gapps would crash in the background all the time so I wiped all of the cache and reinstalled the base promethius zip v21e from my sd card. After that I didn't mess with flex or anything else and had normal att signal strength 6 mbps. I couldn't remember the apn that gives me 12 mbps off the top of my head so I just created one named it phone, and for apn I put phone and then hit save. First test of this setting gave me14.9 mbps speed test with zero change to stock flex or dialer. Running smooth and fast for 2 days.

to clarify, I only added the phone apn. I did not touch the apn for cingular that comes with promethius.
after you asked about mms I had my daughter send me one to find out. I did not get the mms until I modified my "phone" apn to apn type "default, internet" still leaving the original apn untouched. Ran another speed test seems okay.

Cyanogenmod on LG Thrill - a learning process

Background: I'm a programmer by trade, but completely new to Android. I've had my AT&T Thrill 4g for a few months now, and am just getting into this scene, so please forgive noob mistakes. I'm posting this both to fill my "10 posts before you can do anything useful on XDA" quota, and in case others find this useful. I also hope you will correct me or make any suggestions you think of.
My Phone: I have an LG Thrill 4g p925 on AT&T in the United States. I currently have baseband v21e from the O3D forums in order to have the latest Gingerbread. My understanding is that the hardware of the two phone's is identical, and that the software is pretty much interchangeable. I can downgrade to US-based Froyo or the v20p GB radio easily enough if need be.
The Goal: I love Cyanogenmod, and hope to get it running smoothly with no wifi issues. My favorite CM7-based rom is currently pandaball's, available both for the O3D (p920) and Thrill (p925).
The Problem: Installing the p925 build of CM7 Release Client 3 (RC3) cannot recognize my v21e (GB) baseband. Therefore, I can't get mobile data or even edit my APNs.
My understanding from this post is that the problem is due to the fact that the p925 CM7 builds were designed to work with the Froyo radios.
Possible Solution? I am going to try installing the p920 version and see if that helps. See this post.
Other Issues:[B/] Wifi has been terrible for me on older builds that worked for some reason or another, but that was before I knew much about basebands.
I'll post updates or edit this post as I figure things out ...
Welcome man!! I love the 20p baseband. No issues with it.
But we have a few major issues with cm7.
One that makes me swith back to stock based is in call echo.

LOL. I would do the same as you (Ask for a step by step.) however, T-Mobile gets crap for reception in my town. It's not even 2G in my town, so no point in using it. AT&T in my area just recently upgraded to HSPA+. There is no 4G LTE (Even for Sprint or Verizon.)

AT&T is the only carrier in my town, for some reason that has 3G or HSPA+ coverage.
It's how backwoods my town is.
I myself am connected to HSPA+. When I was on Sprint and had my Evo 4G, I had to go to Boston (Over an hour drive) to be able to test it out. Otherwise I'd get about 600 KBPS or so download.

I'm talking about the baseband update, not the actual 4.2.2 OS update. I've updated to 4.2.2 but downgraded the baseband, which has nothing to do with the media scanner bug.
I'm wondering what specific improvements/changes were made in the new baseband.
Do I have to be rooted to flash an old radio?

The network could quite easily lock out your phone at any time anyway, as each handset identifies itself on LTE, so they only have to put a block on N4 ID strings, if they wanted to and use the non-approved card...
