I am about to root my note, but I have just updated the firmware 2.3.6, and I have kk5, but all the rooting guidelines point to kk1,kk2,kk3,and kk4, if anyone could confirm or point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.
Samsung 16 GB,unlocked,gsm.

Hey guys had my galaxy s for a few months now but never bothered to read up on what to do with it lol.... I have 2 questions.....
Whats thefirst things i should be doing to the phone (keep it easy to understand ).
Is there an easy way to play media to my xbox360 - i dont have a pc attached to 360, would i need to do this to use allshare for example or is there another way round it?

No, latest one is 2.3.4 and with CM7/MIUI 2.3.5.

2.3.4 is latest samsung, all firmwares and flashing instructions can be found at samfirmware.com

I wanted to update my i9000,, it has a Gingerbread 2.3.3 ,, but I see that the Baseband is a JPXV6 while the Build number is JPJV6,,, so, which one to use to search for the 2.3.4 ??,,,

The official is more refined, less bugs, etc.
